Praying that Donald Trump can save America in 2024!

“GOD SAVE AMERICA”

At my age “Resolutions” are limited to health and thanks for a wonderful life. I have been blessed with everything that I expected so far. God loved me just as my mother always reminded me until she departed ten years ago next Tuesday.

This message will probably surprise a lot of people I know, including some in my own family. I have never been an outwardly religious individual. My faith is from within every since I was baptized at age 12, a long-long time ago.

I have watched far too many Americans slowly change from a faith based society to a bitter mixture of individuals who expect our government to provide everything for them, from cradle to grave. As a boy I watched far too many American men, women and sadly boys die to protect our right to be free from oppression. I served in the military at 17 and since that time I have witnessed many more Americans die trying to provide freedom for others. Unfortunately most of the wars after Korea have apparently been political as we have not won one.

Today’s announcement by the Iraqi government that had no mention of the Americans who died to get them freedom, was a slap in the face those of us who know what freedom means and what it costs.

Every year we see more attacks on religion inside America. Look at our history, our money, and most government buildings that bear thanks in some way to God for our existence. Last Monday was a holiday for our government employees to Celebrate Christmas, but they can’t display or utter the words, “Merry Christmas”, without some wacko and the ACLU, suing them.

Today America is a divided society, led by a President who urges more division and appears to desire insurrection to destroy our Republic. Leaders of this belief will eventually eliminate our freedoms and I feel sorry for my descendants who will not have the life of freedom I have been blessed with. If we had another Pearl Harbor next year, we will lose as too many Americans have lost their will to fight and pray for freedom. Our leaders have failed us over and over again.

I fear it may be too late for any human to be able to wake up enough Americans to stop this march off the cliff of faith.

For the first time in my life I wish to share a prayer, openly and in writing, with all who choose to read this message on this first day of 2012.

“Dear God, I ask you to intervene one more time and provide us with a leader who will bring our people together again. I watch the current Pretender in Chief ignore your presence and lead our most vulnerable into a future of failure. Our supposed leaders today all use the term “God Bless America” and I suggest they use my prayer, “God Save America” and unite us again.” Amen!

Happy New Year……………………C Brewer
