2013 Update
I started writing this blog in September 2010. I am 83 years old and dedicated to share my lifetime and knowledge with anyone who desires politically conservative viewpoints. Being retired for 20 years I have found this avocation as an excellent way to learn something every day and I have dedicated the rest of my life to making people smile.
A close friend, “Tadpole Keel” who enjoyed my more than casual articles for our weekly newspaper, The Sabine County Reporter, urged and helped me create this blog. His computer knowledge far exceeds that of my own. Since I started I have posted nearly 700 messages and have received over 32,000 hits.
I also am an avid reader of history and the conservative movement in America. I do comment on other people’s work whether professional or just another individual like myself. I always have questions to learn more and I visit probably 40 different sites each day.
I live in a neighborhood of mostly retired and older Americans. Several have no access to the internet and we do not have a decent daily newspaper. In addition to my blog, I make copies of daily happenings that are not biased by the main stream media and they are passed on from family to family to provide conservative news.
Two other friends, Kenn Fong and Thomas Howard, along with a daughter, Lisa Felske, have helped me struggle through my lack of computer knowledge. I am old, impatient, independent, and know little more than how to log in, type with two fingers and pray a lot when I hit the wrong key. I have leaned on these four people for a lot of help and support. I also have Mike Ditrick, Lake Computer Services, nearby to bail me out and provide me with equipment.
Kenn Fong designs and maintains websites and uses me to review some of his work at times. As I am a master at hitting the wrong button or icon, he know that if there is a way to screw up anything, just turn me loose.
To get completely honest I am a member of Mensa and Intertel with a Master’s Degree and one of the world’s worst speller as I think much faster than I type. I am also a failure when it comes to using correct punctuations, etc. Lockheed and Halliburton provided me with excellent assistants and secretaries to insure my written outputs.
When I started my first business my fantastic wife of now 53+ years has been my grammar corrector and God Bless her, she is better than spellcheck.

From way down here in the antipodes Clyde, you push all my buttons. As a socially liberal democrat I may not agree with all your positions but I share your desire for open dialogue. Long may we reign!

I love reading your blogs Clyde! I get behind sometimes, but keep them and get caught up. I never realized how much we think alike – you just have a way of putting it into words – much better than I could. Hope all the family is doing well and have a Happy New Year. Love you and your family.
