LIFE, A STRANGE JOURNEY!

Watching all of the violence on the news in between, prior to and after two horrible hurricanes gave me time to deeply evaluate some of my own life. It is hard to believe I have watched this great country go from rags to riches then slowly chart a course to self destruction in my 87 years. Sadly I have family that is so focused on socializing America it would not surprise me if I saw some of my own grandchildren on TV involved in useless demonstrations and property destruction before I croak. I really hope not.

When I entered adulthood, at 16 in my case, few high school graduates had any opportunity to attend college. I was certain there was nothing anyone could teach me as I knew everything. I have written before that one of the smartest decisions I ever made was enlisting in the US Navy at 17. Looking back I was better prepared for my trip through life than most of my classmates who were later drafted and served in the Korean war. If every American boy and girl were required to serve after high school or reaching the age of 18 in a federal program things would be different. The program would last only ninety days and be designed to transition and prepare them for adult life. This would result in America not having the insurrection we see today.  

Unfortunately this will never happen as the leadership in America has slowly disappeared. Today we have leaders that survive with power instead of wisdom. Watching the leadership of the Republican party since the last election has been sickening. We now have a born successful leader willing to give up a life of luxury to try to save the country from itself. Sadly he has been abandoned by his own Republican party in accomplishing needed change by people who have elevated their status to elite untouchables.

I really hope I live to see Donald Trump introduce these bureaucratic has beens to unemployment with term limits that they believe the people will not support. If the people want America to return to prosperity they will throw these power sick millionaires out of Congress and soon.

Nothing President Trump has done so far has made Congress happy. The media bias and outright hate have caused most of the insurrection to date. Our Federal Courts have been stuffed with so many Socialists Judges we are having a stand off only the people can settle. Lifetime appointments for these “elites” has created chaos that must eventually be stopped. The Supreme Court is a perfect example of bias as simple things are decided by political reasons rather than the laws in force. Again the people have the power. The current President is challenged for trying to implement the changes he promised when we elected him. I pray that we the people stand behind the first leader we have elected since Ronald Reagan or Socialism will be alive again to doom our Republic.

I want to close this limited walk through life by giving you advice whether you are 16 or 60. Regardless of your desires, expectations, wishes or prayers your destiny was programmed to end your life cycle the day you are born. You only have one trip so please enjoy every year you have by being happy. Watching these young Americans and aliens destroy property, inflict injury on innocent others makes me want to throw up. Free speech is the cornerstone requirement for freedom regardless of any reason. These riots remind me of the youth in Germany that were the tool used by Hitler to brainwash an entire country to self destruction.

How do you feel about the future? I wish enough people would comment on this article to let me share your feelings with others in another article. I will continue to share my conservative position as long as I draw a breath before the fat lady sings. I may not have many people read my work but the ones who do have my promise to keep trying to help make a difference.

SOME AMERICANS STILL LIKE EACH OTHER!

My often guest writer sent me this material that made my day. If you live in the South you can be sure that this army of the most caring people on earth will show up when needed. I have spent a lot of time in every one the lower 48 United States, Hawaii and 32 different countries worldwide. I have never seen or heard of any people any place I have been that love their country and the people more than the South. I am proud to have lived every day of my 87 years in Texas. The following will never be seen on the media, including FOX, which is sad. They might show incidents but they never report how people in the South help each other all the time when needed.

 

This is the best description of Harvey’s aftermath I’ve read, so far.  (And it will be the only true story reported)

Hundreds and hundreds of small boats pulled by countless pickups and SUVs from across the South are headed for Houston, Beaumont and Port Arthur and points East.  Almost all of them driven by men. They’re using their own property, sacrificing their own time, spending their own money, and risking their own lives for one reason: to help total strangers in desperate need.

Most of them are by themselves. Most are dressed like the redneck duck hunters and bass fisherman they are. Many are veterans. Most are wearing well-used gimme-hats, t-shirts, and jeans; and there’s a preponderance of “camo”.

Most are probably gun owners, and most probably voted for Trump. These are the people the Left loves to hate; the ones Rachel Maddow mocks. The ones Bill Maher and Keith Olbermann, and so many Liberal Progressive elite’s just ‘know’ they’re so much better than.

These are The Quiet Ones.

They don’t wear masks and tear down statues. They don’t, as a rule, march and demonstrate. And most have probably never been in a Whole Foods.  But they’ll spend the next several days wading in cold, dirty water; dodging alligators, water moccasins and fire ants; eating whatever meager rations are available, and sleeping wherever they can in dirty, damp clothes. Their reward is the tears and the hugs and the smiles from the terrified people they help. They’ll deliver one boatload, and then go back for more.

When disaster strikes, it’s what men do, real men, heroic men, American men, and, then they’ll knock back a few shots or a few beers with like-minded men they’ve never met before and talk about fish or ten-point bucks or the benefits of hollow-point ammo or their F-150.  And, the next time they hear someone talk about “the patriarchy” or “white male privilege”, they’ll snort, turn off the TV and go to bed.

In the meantime, they’ll likely be up again before dawn. To do it again. Until the helpless are rescued. And the work’s done.They’re unlikely to be reimbursed. There won’t be medals. They won’t care. They’re not heroes, they’re just good people. And that’s what important.  

Oh, BTW, there were many, many women that did just as much, worked just as hard, or maybe harder, in doing what had to be done for their neighbors and fellow American’s. What was so obvious was that the race or sex or social status of the victims or their rescuers was immaterial, the only thing that mattered was that someone needed help!

As the media would never share this I hope you will. This is not bragging it is just plain facts. Americans in the South don’t hate other Americans like the ones in the Liberal-Progressive states like California, New York and Illinois. In fact Illinois must be the hate capital of the free world. If we could export anything to improve America the fastest it would be every commentator from every national media network. There is one exception, Sean Hannity who needs to move South where he is beloved.

AMERICAN HISTORY, WHO CARES ANYMORE?

 One evening a grandson was talking to his grandfather about current events.
A grandson asked his grandfather what he thought about the shootings at schools, the computer age, and just things in general..

Stay with this — the answer is at the end. 

It may blow you away.
The Grandfather replied, “Well, let me think a minute, I was born before:
‘ television
‘ penicillin
‘ polio shots
‘ frozen foods
‘ Xerox
‘ contact lenses
‘ Frisbees and
‘ the pill
 
There were no: 
‘ credit cards
‘ laser beams or
‘ ball-point pens
Man had not invented :
‘ pantyhose
‘ air conditioners
‘ dishwashers
‘ clothes dryers
‘ and the clothes were hung out to dry in the fresh air and
‘ space travel was only in Flash Gordon books.
Your Grandmother and I got married first,… and then lived together..
 
Every family had a father and a mother. Until I was 25, I called every woman older than me, “maam”. And after I turned 25, I still called policemen and every man with a title, “Sir.
 
We were before gay-rights, computer-dating, dual careers, daycare centers, and group therapy.
 
Our lives were governed by the Bible, good judgment, and common sense. We were taught to know the difference between right and wrong and to stand up and take responsibility for our actions.
 
Serving your country was a privilege; living in this country was a bigger privilege… We thought fast food was eating half a biscuit while running to catch the school bus.
 
Having a meaningful relationship meant getting along with your cousins.
 
Draft dodgers were those who closed front doors as the evening breeze started.
 
Time-sharing meant time the family spent together in the evenings and weekends-not purchasing condominiums.
 
We never heard of FM radios, tape decks, CD’s, electric typewriters, yogurt, or guys wearing earrings.
 
We listened to Big Bands, Jack Benny, and the President’s speeches on our radios. And I don’t ever remember any kid blowing his brains out listening to Tommy Dorsey.
 
If you saw anything with ‘Made in Japan ‘ on it, it was junk.
 
The term ‘making out’ referred to how you did on your school exam….
 
Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, and instant coffee were unheard of.
We had 5 &10-cent stores where you could actually buy things for 5 and 10 cents. Ice-cream cones, phone calls, rides on a streetcar, and a Pepsi were all a nickel. And if you didn’t want to splurge, you could spend your nickel on enough stamps to mail 1 letter and 2 postcards.
 
You could buy a new Ford Coupe for $600, … but who could afford one? Too bad, because gas was 11 cents a gallon.
 
In my day:
‘ “grass” was mowed,
‘ “coke” was a cold drink,
‘ “pot” was something your mother cooked in and
‘ “rock music” was your grandmother’s lullaby.
‘ “Aids” were helpers in the Principal’s office,
‘ “chip” meant a piece of wood,
‘ “hardware” was found in a hardware store and
‘ “software” wasn’t even a word.
 
And we were the last generation to actually believe that a lady needed a husband to have a baby.
 
No wonder people call us “old and confused” and say there is a generation gap.
 
How old do you think I am?
 
I bet you have this old man in mind….you are in for a shock!

Most people are aware that this old man will be 87 in August and these facts were aimed at those born in 1947. I graduated from high school at 16, joined the US Navy reserve at 17 all in 1947. If someone compiled for 1930, the year I was born, it would add many more surprises for my family of 43 would be amazed. much of a Doctor’s work today was performed by a pharmacist. I have no memory of ever going to a Doctor until I was 15. I was born at home as having a baby was not a hospital event. My brother was born ia a hospital in 1933. 
Now that History is not required in schools these facts will slowly disappear and my great grand children will never know what life was like when I was their age and likely never know who I was. Man has progressed but I feel that History should be a required subject in schools. Sadly people, including my own family will never believe what life was like when Americans actually liked each other. No one in the family, except my brother and I, has ever served in the military that we both volunteered for. This void is why we have no respect or discipline in the youth anymore. Schools raise the children as both parents work in most families. My thanks to the person who wrote the factual History. I would add the things that have occurred before 1947 but no one, including my family, will read or comment on this. American’s today have no time to even care what happened in the past. My hope is more than three people read this and at least one has a comment

SANCTUARY AMERICA!

ONE SYMBOLIC  MOVEMENT TO  DIS-UNITE ALL FIFTY STATES!

You can argue the reasons for the flood of Sanctuary cities, counties, states or any other municipalities that have become the biggest flaunting of US laws in my lifetime. There are thousands of articles available on the internet that can drive you crazy. You can watch slanted interviews on the “Left-media” propaganda” on networks like ABC, NBC, CBS,CNN, PBS and even Congress own network, C-Span.

The article I last posted pointed out the problem of covert disruption of free speech including destruction of property and attacking fellow Americans who have free speech rights of peaceful assembly. Watching these “Cowards” hide their faces to destroy property and physically attack fellow Americans is the sickest violation of laws I have ever watched.

Let me tell you that the real reason for the sanctuary movement is to provide protection for the “Cowards” that was not available when their Parents or grandparents started the disruption movement during the Vietnam war in the 1960’s. Some like the Ayres, Clinton’s, Fonda’s, Turners had enough money backing to openly break our laws with no fear of being drafted. Most of the lowly “Cowards” fled to Canada to avoid the draft.

The current power brokers like George Soros can buy their way out of jeopardy and pay the faceless cowards to do the dirty work. They can also provide the liberal lawyers necessary to spring them free to hide in the Sanctuary locations protected by local dissidents who govern these outlaw functions. They can hide behind the publicized propaganda of protecting illegal aliens. In fact it appears that illegal aliens are the primary source of “Cowards” in some of the larger illegal entities nationwide.

Watching Congress and the Supreme Court allow this flagrant lawlessness flourish is sick. I found some words of wisdom for those who wish to get involved and help stop the law breaking forces. These words were taken from an article written by Steve Salvi, Founder, OJJPAC.org  

“The consequences of sanctuary policies.  What you can do.”   

“Military strategists understand the importance of denying an enemy geographic sanctuaries.  Sanctuaries allow an enemy time to safely operate and build up defensive and offensive capabilities and hold and take ground.  Sanctuaries for illegal aliens likewise provide an important strategic advantage over law enforcement and their ability to perform their law enforcement duties.

Sanctuary policies, official or de facto, result in safe havens (or safer havens) for illegal aliens involved in a variety of criminal enterprises.  Sanctuary policies inhibit the ability of law enforcement officers to accurately identify foreign nationals which makes it more difficult to uncover their illegal activities.  Illegal aliens face less risk of deportation too if caught by local law enforcement.  Sanctuary policies also help shield the operations of Latin American drug cartels, gangs, and terrorist cells–since their activities are less likely to be detected and real identities uncovered by local, state, or federal law enforcement.

Some sanctuary cities (e.g., Chicago and San Francisco) even receive millions of dollars in federal State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) grants to compensate for the cost of jailing illegal alien criminals–even though their city sanctuary policies act to encourage illegal alien settlement.

According to Santa Clara County  District Attorney Jeffrey Rosen, the Santa Clara County California’s sanctuary policy has put its citizens at greater risk. District Attorney Rosen proposed that  the County Board of Supervisors vote to ease its law barring local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration law enforcement.  Rosen gave an example of a woman who was raped by an illegal alien who had been shielded from federal detention by the county’s policy.

“What you can do to stop sanctuary policies in your city and state”.

“What can you do to help stop sanctuary policies?  Get involved and demand change!  Call the President and your members of Congress (U.S. House and U.S. Senate) and demand aggressive border and interior enforcement of U.S. immigration laws.  At the state and local level, attend and testify at scheduled public meetings and determine what are your community’s policies.  If your local government or state has official or unofficial sanctuary policies, demand that the policies be repealed.

A group of citizens in Spokane, Washington, called Respect Washington, started an initiative petition in 2015 (Initiative No. 2015-1) to stop the city’s illegal alien sanctuary policy which was adopted by the Spokane City Council as Ordinance Nos. C35164 and C-35167 in October, 2014.  The group is also working on a statewide “Respect for Law” initiative petition.

Some state legislatures have either passed or are considering immigration enforcement legislation too, which you can support.  For example, in early 2015, State Senator Charles Perry, R-Lubock, Texas, introduced SB 185.  SB 185 specifically allowed local law enforcement to question immigration status and share that information with federal law enforcement.  It also allowed the Texas Attorney General to investigate citizen complaints about Texas cities that have adopted sanctuary policies”.    END

George Soros and a band on other multi-rich including banks are behind the move to eventually socialize America. This can be done by Congress if the majority of Americans agree that we need to void our Constitution and Bill of Rights legally.

I for one believe enough real Americans have awakened to the move to destroy our Republic form of Democracy and elected , legally, a new President to stop this lawlessness. The new “Sheriff Trump” has amassed a “Posse” like Sessions, Tillerson, Mattis, Mattis, Mnuchin, Pruitt, Perry and Zinke just to name a few of his new cabinet to systematically make America “Great” again.

Unfortunately as I near 87 I may not be around to see these patriots destroy the movements who have openly killed the art of making things in America by regulating everything in sight. What may not be something everyone would prioritize, I hope to see all “Tree Huggers” who have had outlawed proven forest functions to keep our National Forest beautiful. Proven methods of thinning the forests has been an asset for small Counties like Sabine in East Texas where I live.

Sabine National Forest occupies some 300 square miles of the 600 square miles in Sabine County. The only revenue the Federal Government provided since inception, as they cannot be taxes for roads, schools, etc., was a portion of revenue from selling trees to lumber companies. Regulators stopped all harvesting to keep the forest prettier and then eliminated revenue sharing with local municipalities.

Dear Jeff Sessions, please stop all Federal funding to any Sanctuary entity and hopefully all Government departments will follow suit and stop all Federal funding too. Money drives everything today, unfortunately this includes our entire court system including the Supreme Court.
