IMMIGRATION-LA RAZA’S PURPOSE?

Take a peek at where your tax dollars to fund at the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) are being spent. NCLR is racist organization. Some of their primary purposes are to provide discounted tuition for illegal aliens, provide driver’s licenses for illegal aliens, illegal alien sanctuary policies and how to obtain free services that are destroying our educational and healthcare programs.

If you take the time to dig a little deeper, the truth about this organization is even more disturbing and dangerous. La Raza serves as the front organization for the radical Mexican reconquista  movement, which seeks to conquer the American Southwest and return it to Mexico.

If you doubt this statement cut and paste the following for viewing;

http://www.judicialwatch.org/…/2006/SR_academia%20semillas.pdf

This is a report that Judicial Watch wrote about a Mexican separatist charter school funded by the NCLR. It’s called Academia Semillas Del Pueblo (Seeds of the People Academy). And this is what the principal of the school had to say about his “educational” objectives:

“We don’t necessarily want to go to White schools. What we want to do is teach ourselves, teach our children the way we have of teaching. We don’t want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts… Ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction.”

The report shows a description of the school’s “United States History and Geography” class for 8th graders:

A People’s history of Expansion and Conflict – A thematic survey of American politics, society, culture and political economy; Emphasis throughout on the nations the U.S. usurped, invaded and dominated; Connections between historical rise of capitalism and imperialism with modern political economy and global social relations.

This type of school program appears to be tailor made for President Obama. Remember immediately after being sworn in he went on an international apology tour. He made it perfectly clear that he does not believe in American exceptionalism. Is this what you want your tax dollars to support?

This organization has had friends in high places in both political parties for many years. You can find speeches of support from Hillary Clinton and former Bush advisor Karl Rove. With Cecilia Munoz, Obama’s Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, pushing the buttons inside the White House, La Raza and the affiliates are accelerating Obama’s amnesty agenda nationwide through its vast network of Latino organizations.

Munoz previously served as the NCLR’s senior vice president where she supervised all legislative and advocacy activities on the state and local levels. She was heavily involved in the congressional immigration battles that took place in the George W. Bush Administration. She held that position until President Obama appointed her without any oversight questioning and ignored his own ethics rules that would have prevented Munoz from working on matters concerning La Raza.

IMMIGRATION- LEGALIZED POLITICAL BRIBERY

Being retired provides you more time to read to read and listen. Unfortunately for me it reveals just how rotten the political process has degraded America. As a young man I saw how manipulating the Hispanic voting process in Texas resulted in Lyndon Johnson becoming a U. S. Senator. Johnson as President pushed the socialist agenda to a level that would make FDR look like a conservative. Every president since has manipulated the Hispanic people to join the other welfare dependent voters in an attempt to guarantee re-election. This includes the progressive republicans like Bush.

The Obama administration and all democrats have decided to intensify the manipulation of the Hispanic voters to help get Obama another term as president. The democrats have the people on lifelong welfare and the union votes locked up. With the massive increase in government employees they still need the illegal aliens to assure victory in 2012.

I challenge you to read more about what is happening and I will share some interesting facts to hopefully excite you. A great source is an article by Tom Fitton published on Big Government.com on June 28th.

Anyone who reads or listens to the news, even the democratic main stream media, has been well informed about sanctuary cities. In Texas it is sad that Houston and Austin totally ignore the illegal aliens and in reality protect them from prosecution and deportation. These and other cities are encouraged by the current president and the democrats to ignore the criminal activity. They need every vote possible.

Obama’s Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, Cecelia Munoz, a former top official of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) has been successful in massive increased government funding for NCLR. This organization has been receiving government funding for years but Ms. Munoz has this bribery in overdrive. Funding has tripled in the last year.

The Department of Labor provides 60% of the funding. No surprise as it is headed by former congresswoman Hilda Solis with close ties to NCLR. Since she was named Secretary of Labor Ms. Solis has launched a nationwide campaign to protect illegal immigrant workers in the USA. In the latter part of June she made declarations with Guatemala and Nicaragua to preserve the rights of their migrants.

NCLR receives substantial government funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Center for Disease Control. NCLR also has affiliate organizations such as, Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC) whose federal funding has doubled since Munoz was appointed.

Another social service and legal services organization, Ayuda Inc., which did not receive any federal funding 2005-2008, Ayuda received $1,148,000 from the US Department of Justice in 2009-2010. This company provides immigration law services and guarantees confidentiality to assure illegal aliens they will not be reported to authorities. It would be appreciated by every criminal to have the government to pay to help them evade the law. Woops, that could be underway as the democrats are trying to overturn convicted felons inability to vote. They have had control of the dead people’s votes in some states for many years.

If you are concerned about this, please enter your comments on the blog. If this does not peak your interest, watch for the next posting. It will scare the daylights out of you, especially if you live in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona or California. Wait until you see what “La Raza” has underway for you.

EDUCATION UNIONS-OKLAHOMA

Teachers unions in Oklahoma promoted a ballot proposal last year that would have forced the state to the average of all surrounding states spend on public education. Wisely the voters shot it down.

A typical Oklahoma school district spends about 80% of its total budget on labor costs. This includes many unnecessary “perks” spelled out in union collective bargaining agreements. Oklahoma also spends millions on automatic annual salary increases and more than generous paid sick and personal days. Teachers are reimbursed for unused sick and personal days, plus pay for “extra duty”. They also receive pay to attend professional conferences, health insurance and many other things.

The problem is not the amount of money that schools receive, but the constraints give the districts no flexibility on how they actually spend it. The unions control the spending of 90% of the budget. It appears the districts do get to buy and sharpen pencils.

The “Education Action Group” has been studying the situation and started with the “Jinks Public Schools” Below is a snapshot of what they found.

Out of a total budget for 2009-10 of $63,947,342.00, labor costs were $58,264,152.00 or 91% of the total. $749,000.00 of labor costs was automatic salary increases over the prior year.

Jinks district has 678 teachers who took a total of 3412 sick days and 1,049 personal leave days in 2009-10. Their records do not capture the salary and benefits paid for sick and personal days. The records do show that the district paid out $481,632.00 for substitute teachers. The salary and benefits for the regular teachers is several times the cost of substitutes.

Teachers also receive “Extra Duty” pay for coaching, advising clubs, chairing academic departments, school bands and breakfast and lunch supervision. In the 2009-10 year this costs was $983,063.00.

The district also pays $300.00 annually to the Oklahoma Teachers Retirement System for each teacher. This totaled $203,000.00 in 2009-10.

The Education Action Group recommended that sick days be cut to 5 and 2 paid personal time days which are more generous than most private companies today. The only figure that could be reduced, with any accuracy, would be the costs for substitutes that should be 50% less, a savings of $240,816. These must be really nice people as my recommendation would no paid personal time.

The Group also recommended that the teachers pay 50% of the $300.00 to the retirement system. Using the 2009-10 figures this would save $101,700.00 this year. Based on a business evaluation of these facts, I would require that the teachers pay the entire $300.00 themselves. This would obviously save the entire $203,400.00. Just think these cuts could be made without decreasing teacher’s base pay.

The bottom line is that all of our education systems are in bad need of independent professional operational audits. Do they meet their stated mission objectives and where is the waste hidden?

I would come out of retirement and audit any school district for 10% of the real audited savings. On second thought, I could hire this done, make some money and keep fishing and playing golf. When I think about the U.S. government using the same, no cost, independent operational audits to find just the waste alone in healthcare, I get dizzy. When you audit yourself you will never have the power to change anything.

The deeper I get into the public sector unions, more facts surface. If we had a real Department of Education our success ratios would be well above current levels. Wait until you see how much money has been given to Wisconsin since Obama was elected. What will really make you want to throw up is what they did with it before the last election to cover up the past.

UNION INTEREST, KIDS OR MONEY?

What you are about to read are direct quotations made as part of a speech made in 2009? If you do not find this disturbing, you should be banned from voting for being mentally incompetent. As you read this try to decide who the individual might be and what background he could possibly represent. It may not surprise you but it can make you wonder why he made the speech in the first place.

Direct Quotes

“Despite what some among us would like to believe it is not because of our creative ideas. It is not because of the merit of our positions. It is not because we care about our children and it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child. NEA (National Education Association) and its affiliates are effective associates because we have power.”

“And we have the power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues each year, because they believe that we are the unions that can most effectively represent them, the unions that can protect their rights and advance their interest as education employees.”

“This is not to say that the concern of NEA and its affiliates with closing achievement gaps, reducing dropout rates, improving teacher quality and the like are unimportant or inappropriate. To the contrary. These are goals that guide the work we do. But they need not and must not be achieved at the expense of due process, employee rights and collective bargaining. That simply is too high a price to pay.”

Wow, what a definition of what unions are expected to provide. It is hard to imagine how the private sector unions would describe “Power”.

Now I will disclose the speaker. His name is Bob Chanin which will likely not ring your bell, I never heard of him before researching the Unions. This was part of his farewell address to the NEA. Mr. Chanin was the top education lawyer for the NEA for 41 years. He stated in his message, “It’s not about kids, but about power.”

It would be interesting to find out why the media in our country just ignore union activities. With all of the dissent happening in Wisconsin, you would expect that at least Fox News would share this nationally.

Thanks to “Eyeblast” and “Big Labor” for the facts. At least some are trying to level the playing field for the folks that pay for this legalized bribery.

TEACHER/UNION FACTS-WISCONSIN

WISCONSIN-TEACHER-UNION FACTS

When you suspect that something smells a little funny in any union activity, just follow the money. Unions preach that trusts and monopolies are a by-product of big business and must be evil and bad. It would be wonderful to get the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) to explain the facts that should be interesting to every American taxpayer. WEAC is a “union” that is affiliated with National Education Association (NEA) and their website says they represent 98,000 educators in the State of Wisconsin.

WEAC has a vested interest in fighting the proposal to strip the unions from collective bargaining rights. In 2009 WEAC collected over $25,000,000.00 from teachers. If the proposed changes are passed by the legislature, the state will no longer have to deduct the union dues from the teacher’s paychecks. Also union members will not be obligated to pay union dues.

If you dig a little deeper the primary reason WEAC is so distressed is more obvious. The proposed legislation will have a negative financial impact on the WEA trust. The WEA Trust is owned and managed by WEAC. This trust is responsible for managing teacher’s benefits and provides the insurance for each school district. These benefits are contracted with individual school districts. The pressure from the teachers, who own the trust, is so intense it is nearly impossible for the school board to buy cheaper insurance on the competitive market.

WEA has a net worth of $316,000,000.00 and a team of twelve administrators all receiving total compensation exceeding six figures per year.

Once they pressure a school district to buy their insurance, it becomes nearly impossible to refuse to renew regardless of rates. If the district tries to change, WEAC takes it to arbitration and with their political power seldom lose a case.

The WEA business practices also prohibit any competitor from reviewing prior claims which makes it impossible for a competitor to estimate accurate costs history.

Some 15 school districts have severed buying from the WEA Trust and it was reported that the savings were over six figures in the first year. But even here there was another pressure that emerged. To reduce the resistance they were forced to share the insurance savings they made with their local union officials, usually in the form of salary increases.

Now you might know why the teachers and unions are so distressed in fighting the Wisconsin Governor and the brave Representatives/Senators. These folks are trying to bring common sense changes to help the taxpayer.

It is a shame that “Teachers” have placed themselves above the children of Wisconsin. Using “Near Bribery Tactics” to fatten their own pockets is sad. More to follow tomorrow.

CONGRESSIONAL CON GAMES

They can’t wait until the public calms down to use other ways to deceive the folks about wasteful spending. Regardless of how many devious ways to waste money to get re-elected are exposed, they will find others. One new republican Senator discovered a method with little exposure as a way to hide extortion type pressure from being associated with him even before the election. Chicago style politics seems to have no party affiliation with even republicans being sent to prison.

Senator Mark Kirk R-Illinois won the Senate seat that Obama vacated to run for President. During his campaign he stated that he would oppose Speaker of the House, Nancy Polisi’s trillion-dollar stimulus plan. He along with many other republicans squealed loudly about pork-barrel spending and the use of designating money for special projects via “earmarks”.

Mr. Kirk understood political pressure, for example, he sent a letter to the Department of Education on September 10, 2009, asking the release of money “needed to support students and educational programs” in a local school district. The New York Times (NYT) obtained a copy of the letter from the Citizens Against Government Waste group that had obtained the copy under the Freedom of Information Act. The Woodland School District 50 later received $1,100,000.00 in stimulus funds.

The NYT reported that his spokeswoman, Susan Kuczka, reported, “Senator-elect Kirk became the first member of the Appropriations Committee to stop requesting earmarks and voted against the stimulus bill. He has and will continue to be an advocate for his Illinois constituents before administration agencies but will not request Congressional earmarks to be included in House or Senate legislation.”

Watch the weasel words as he made no mention that he would not use the alternatives of lettermarking or phonemarking which are alternatives to hide themselves from the spending. Let me show you how. Lettermarking which takes place outside the Congressional appropriations process is another way to let the Congressperson provide money back home and the money comes from the budgets approved for that government agency. I am sure that a Congressperson would not include money for that agency in the preparation of their annual budget. If you believe that, I have some swamp land you may want to buy!

Phonemarking is where the lawmaker calls an agency requesting money for a home district or State for specific projects. They should be called soft-earmarks which is merely suggesting that money be used for home projects or Hard-earmarks where they demand that funds be available for their district/State.

These are not new scams as they have been used for years. If we did this it would be called bribery or fraud. Both Presidents Bush and Obama issued Executive Orders to all government agencies to not finance pet projects requested from a Congressperson. Anyone out there really believe they actually stopped the practice? Would you say no to the people who approve your budget? No one would be that stupid.

Representative Jeff Flake R-Arizona sees merit in banning all of these practices. He has raised the issue with the new Speaker of the House, John Boehner who has not committed to banning all types of  soft/hard earmarks.

Soft earmarks accounted for billions of dollars in 2006, the last year they were examined, according to the Congressional Research Service. It sort of makes you wonder why but remember they will find another way regardless. In 2006 most were in spending bills for the State Department, US Agency for International Development and other foreign aid programs. Maybe these billions would have prevented the unemployment situation we have today!

Let me share just one example of how these pet projects are forced on the government agency. The 2010 military bill contained $2,500,000,000.00 for more C-17 transport aircraft; $825,000,000.00 for all-terrain vehicles; $732,000,000.00 for other airplanes and $500,000,000.00 for a second engine for the F-35 aircraft. The Pentagon did not request these funds and did not desire to spend the money. I wonder why it was there, do you?

Taxpayers for Common Sense found 146 such undisclosed earmarks totaling nearly $6,000,000,000.00 in 2010 spending bills.

You will find some more interesting things in my AMERICAN ROYALTY-PART 5 next Tuesday 1-4-11.

Let me leave you with a question. Do you really think that 2011 will see major change to the waste we are watching? I do not. Bring on a third-party to change Washington. The last time this happened was when Lincoln was elected and sadly it produced the Civil War, read your history, I did.

AMERICAN “ROYALTY”- PART TWO

It did not take long to re-enforce my position that we do have a “Royalty” class. I will stay at the Congressional Level before we look at the Executive and Judicial branches. I will also cover another entity that has “Royalty” status, the army of lobbyist that plague Washington with bribes, threats and extortion on a daily basis.

This week the Congressional “Ethics” Committee convicted Charles Rangel of eleven ethics violations. These included, failure to pay income taxes , misused office, staff and resources, zoning violations, failure to report $600,000.00 income, misuse of free mailing privileges, etc.

I just read that the Ethics Committee did not consider other corruption charges. It has been alleged that Old Charlie provided a tax loophole for an energy company in exchange for a Rangel Center donation. Another charge ignored was that Old Charlie used his Congressional influence to maintain ownership of his coveted rent-controlled apartment. If you believe that Old Charlie has not used his influence to extort, bribe and break other laws in his 40 years, you must still believe in the tooth fairy.

Translated into what you and I would face would include income tax evasion, fraud, money laundering, extortion and mail fraud just to name a few. We would have been in prison a long time ago. In addition we would have paid, back taxes, plus interest, plus penalties, or lost every asset we are out family ever owned.

Guess what old Charlie faces, “sanction”. What is “sanction”? He will have to stand before The House of Representatives and listen to “Fancy” Polosi read all of the charges aloud in front of the other members of the “Royal House”. As many of the House members have the same ethics history, there is no doubt in my mind that the full house will vote to accept the Ethics Committee recommendation. Congress is not required or expected to obey the laws, except possibly murder. If they were required to obey the same laws we have to comply with, Old Charlie would get three hots and a cot he deserves and no pension.

How does “censure” compare to punishment for the “Common Folks”, a warning ticket. If you think you would get the same free pass to keep your job and continue to have the power to keep on ignoring the law, you must be a minority, illegal alien, disabled, close minded, liberal “Progressive” democrat or a member of Congress.
