HAS POLITICS RUINED AMERICA?

I hope and pray my grandchildren have the opportunity to read about America the Beautiful someday. Watching the self-destruction of the greatest country ever born has been painful. People my age and a few older that are still alive will be the last people who witnessed this greatness. History that used to be a record of accuracy has been replaced.

Today we read about events that have been selectively altered to reflect a political ideology desired by those in power. What makes it worse is a media that publishes whatever will provide the biggest payoff to print and present politics to the folks. America will not likely ever see another Ernie Pyle and other actual reporters of his ilk ever again? This erosion of honesty did not begin this year. Phony news reporters have been exposed in my lifetime but just like crooked politicians there exploits are usually buried forever. We stopped recording these events in history books as we no longer teach history in schools.

I feel certain that both Clinton’s wish this disdain for facts did not cover their early days of mischief. I imagine they have paid dearly to protect much of their early misgivings and must be extremely jealous that President Obama is still getting a free ride. The media secrecy to protect Obama’s past has to be expensive to those who manipulate him like a puppet. We will someday find out who had this power but far too late to expose the charade.

Not enough Americans have really cared in recent years to watch this transition from honesty to power in our political process. Being a native Texan and having seen Lyndon Johnson buy a seat in the Senate and uniquely ascending to the Presidency was never recorded in his lifetime and likely will never be as history is no longer educational. It will reappear someday if Americans ever get enough free stuff or when the well runs dry of living off of someone else’s money. That day will happen and this will be the fatal blow that killed the middle class American. The ultra rich and the politically established “Elites” will rule and the government will then even tell you when you can have sex.

Folks Americans have one last chance to upset the “Elites” and the ultra rich from dominance that could introduce a “Royalty” status next. Laugh if you must but hopefully you will remember some of us tried to get your attention with warnings. The unusual part of this opportunity is one of the “Ultra Rich”, Donald Trump, has chosen to try to be the leader of hopefully enough Americans smart enough to listen. Even Reagan did not do enough to drain the Washington swamp of the Progressives or stop the media propaganda machine.

There is no difference in the Bushes and the Clinton’s as both families are Progressives. Some of the other rebels like John Kasich and Ted Cruz are just power-hungry dupes that are used by the “Elites” as sacrificial lambs too dumb to even know how they were deceived. All these rebels have achieved is to kill the Republican Party”. This will remove the last roadblock and allow the Progressives total control of every facet of Americans lives.

You folks like “Black Lives Matter” and the other splinter groups supported by the Progressive media will be the ones hurt the most and don’t even have a clue on how you have been manipulated. When you have to dig ditches and sweat for a living a few years you will again understand how free you once were. A few will succeed and Uncle Tom will reappear but history will ignore this one.

Trump may be a wolf in sheep’s clothing folks but at least he has promised to square things up maybe one last time. Any American who believes their life will be better with the Clinton’s again have been smoking peyote or sniffing Mexican drugs. Ask yourself why Hillary, at 69, wants to be President. Do you really think she cares about the Average American when she sacrificed a diplomat to keep from exposing a chance to fatten the “Foundation”? If you believe this I will sell you the entire State of Illinois for $5, including a Deed.

I am a well-educated and successful American who has lived during the best years in American history. I am 86 and likely will be forgotten before too many more years. If Hillary does win I promise not to even consider moving from East Texas. I still love and remember the salad days of America and they cannot be erased from my memory like the powerful erase them from history. I will never forget my efforts to share my thoughts, beliefs and advice with nothing expected but respect for my trying to make a difference for my heirs. One advantage for you, if you have followed my writing, is that it did not costs you one red penny. Some will know whether I was right or wrong, I hope I do.

I now have a new PC with Windows 10 that will take me a while to understand.

RULES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS!

My friend Dr. Peter Forrest shared this set of rules to help seniors, both prepare for and live by, to assure golden years happiness. Some will be impossible some will be difficult but I will guarantee you Rule #22 is the most important to your family and friends. I have no idea who compiled these rules and should you know advise me so I can give credits. I hope you will share this with all you know.   C Brewer

22 RULES FOR REACHING A GOOD OLD AGE

  1.  It’s time to use the money you saved up. Use it and enjoy it.  Don’t just keep it for those who may have no notion of the sacrifices you made to get it.  Remember there is nothing more dangerous than a son or daughter-in-law with big ideas for your hard-earned capital.  Enjoy the present moment. The sand in the clock may run out at any moment.
  2.  Stop worrying about the financial situation of your children and grandchildren. You’ve taken care of them for many years, and you’ve taught them what you could. You gave them an education, food, shelter and support. The responsibility is now theirs to earn their way.
  3.  Keep a healthy life with moderate exercise (like walking every day), eat well and get your sleep. It’s easy to become sick, and it gets harder to remain healthy. Keep in touch with your doctor; get tested even when you’re feeling well. Stay informed.
  1.  Always buy the best, most beautiful items for your significant other. The key goal is to enjoy your money with your partner. One day one of you will miss the other, and the money will not provide any comfort then. Enjoy it together.
  1.  Don’t stress over the little things.  You’ve already overcome so much in your life. You have good memories and bad ones, but the important thing is the present.   Don’t let the past drag you down or the future frighten you.
  1.   Regardless of age, always keep love alive. Love your partner, love life, love your family, love your neighbor, your surroundings, your country. We are never old as long as we have intelligence and affection.
  1.  Be proud, both inside and out. Don’t stop going to your hair salon or barber.  Do your nails, go to the dermatologist and the dentist. Keep your perfumes and creams well stocked. When you are well-maintained on the outside, it seeps in, making you feel proud and strong on the inside.
  1.  Don’t lose sight of fashion trends for your age, but keep your own sense of style. There’s nothing sillier than an older person trying to wear the current fashion among youngsters. You’ve developed your own sense of what looks good on you; keep it and be proud of it. It’s part of who you are.
  1.  Read newspapers; watch the news. Go online and read what people are saying. Make sure you have an active email account and try to use some of those social networks.  You’ll be surprised which old friends you’ll meet.  Keeping in touch with what is going on and with the people you know is important at any age.
  1.  Respect the younger generation and their opinions. They may not have the same viewpoints as ours, but they are the future and will take the world in their direction.  Give advice, not criticism, and try to remind them of yesterday’s wisdom that still applies today.
  1.  Never use the phrase: “In my  time.”  Your time is now. As long as you’re alive, you are part of this time. You have been younger, but you are still you now, having fun and enjoying life.
  1.  Some people embrace their golden years, while others become bitter and surly. Life is too short to waste your days in the latter mode. Spend your time with positive, cheerful people; it’ll rub off on you and your days will seem that much better. Spending your time with bitter people will make you older and harder to be around.
  1.  Do not surrender to the temptation of living with your children or grandchildren (if you have a financial choice, that  is). Sure, being surrounded by family sounds great, but we all need our privacy. They need theirs and you need yours. If you’ve lost your partner (our deepest condolences), then find a person to move in with you and help out only if you feel you really need the help or do not want to live alone.
  1.  Don’t abandon your hobbies. If you don’t have any, make new ones. You can travel, hike, cook, read, dance. You can adopt a cat or a dog, grow a garden, play cards, checkers, chess dominoes, golf. You can paint, volunteer, or collect fun or meaningful items. Find something you like and spend some real time having fun with it.
  1.  Even if you don’t feel like it, try to accept invitations–baptisms, graduations, birthdays, weddings, conferences. Try to go. Get out of the house, meet people you haven’t seen in a while, experience something new (or something old). But don’t get upset when you’re not invited. Some events are limited by resources, and not everyone can be hosted. The important thing is to leave the house from time to time. Go to museums; go walk through a field. Get out there.
  1.  Be a conversationalist. Talk less and listen more. Some people go on and on about the past, not caring if their listeners are really interested. That’s a great way of reducing the desire to speak with you. Listen first and answer questions, but don’t go off into long stories unless asked to. Speak in courteous tones and try not to complain or criticize too much unless you really need
  2.  Try to accept situations as they are. Everyone is going through the same things, and people have a low tolerance for hearing complaints.  Always find some good things to say as well.
  1.  Pain and discomfort go hand-in-hand with getting older. Try not to dwell on them but accept them as a part of the cycle of life we’re all going through. Try to minimize them in your mind. They are not who you are; they are something that life added to you.  If they become your entire focus, you lose sight of the person you used to be.
  1.   If you’ve been offended by others, forgive them.  If you’ve offended someone –apologize.   Don’t drag  resentment around with you.  It will make you sad and bitter.  It doesn’t matter who was right.  Someone once said, “Holding a grudge is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die.”  Don’t take that poison. Forgive and move on with your life.
  1.  If you have a strong belief, savor it  But don’t waste your time trying to convince others. They will make their own choices no matter what you tell them, and it will only bring you frustration. Live your faith and set an example. Live true to your beliefs and let that memory sway them.
  1.  Laugh.  Laugh A LOT.  Laugh at everything. Remember, you are one of the lucky ones. You managed to have a life, a long one. Many never get to this age, never get to experience a full life. But you did. So what’s not to laugh about?  Find the humor in your situation.
  1.  Take no notice of what others say about you and even less of what they might be thinking. They’ll do it anyway, and you should have pride in yourself and what you’ve achieved. Let them talk and don’t worry. They have no idea about your history, your memories, and the life you’ve lived so far. There’s still much to be written, so get busy writing and don’t waste time thinking about what others might think. Now is the time to be free, at peace, and as happy as you can be!

HILLARY OR TRUMP?

ANOTHER PASTOR’S ANALOGY!

My friend, Don Dukes, sent me this excellent comparison of positions on important issues prepared by Dr Garlow. I hope you will read this before you cast your ballot in November.

Please read this before it is too late!

Following is the single best discourse I’ve read on Hilary vs. Trump.  I’m not familiar with Dr. Garlow, pastor of megachurch Skyline in San Diego.  But I’ll be following him going forward.

*Skyline Church is an evangelical Christian megachurch located in La Mesa, California, a suburb of San Diego, affiliated with the Wesleyan Church denomination. …

Dr. Jim Garlow became Skyline’s third pastor in 1995

I have been asked “the question” so many times regarding Trump or Hillary. By way of background, I have followed every national convention—Republican and Democrat—from the time I was age 9, and have attended most of the GOP Conventions from 1984 to the present.

I have watched the news virtually every day from the age of 8. I have never seen anything like what we are observing. In spite of the unprecedented nature of this election cycle, I will attempt to respond to “the question.” I am not demanding that anyone else share my view. But I was asked. Here is my best attempt to answer as I am able to see things at this time:

  1.   The Democratic and Republican party platforms are as different as night and day, in my opinion, as far apart as evil vs. good. The 51-page Democratic platform is the most leftist ever. (I don’t care for the “right vs. left” nomenclature. I am far more concerned with “right vs. wrong.”) The Democratic platform contains many points which are anti-biblical.  (Time does not permit me here to identify what is meant by “anti-biblical,” which is covered in my new book Well Versed: Biblical Answers to Today’s Tough Issues.) It is thoroughly socialistic (a socialist is a communist without a gun). The 54-page GOP platform is one of the strongest GOP platforms ever. A biblically alert person could be comfortable with almost all of it. Party platforms are a big issue to me. Although some “blow off” party platforms, I do not. Nor do many people up and down the ballot who are running for office. This is a serious and very important item. I have a hard copy of both platforms in front of me now. Most people have never checked out what the party platforms say. They should. If a person is not drawn to the “top-of-the-ballot” candidate, they ought to at least consider voting for the candidate attached to the best party platform.
  1.   Analogy #1: Both candidates are flawed. We all know that. But permit me an analogy: As a pastor, I would rather deal with a church attendee who is blatant and brash in his sinning than one who is devious, lying, cunning and deceptive. Both are problematic, but one is easier to deal with than the other. If I were a pastor bringing correction to a parishioner, I would prefer dealing with a “Trump-type” any day over a “Hillary-type.” The chances of making progress with the “Trump-type” are many times greater than the “Hillary-type.”
  1.   Analogy #2: When my (late) wife’s remarkable and much loved oncologist said,  “Don’t take Carol to that alternative (non FDA approved) treatment.” I asked, “Why not?” He said, “The unknown.” I said, “Doctor, your ‘known’ is much worse than the alternative treatment’s ‘unknown.'” I took her to that alternative treatment. One year later that same oncologist went to the alternative treatment doctor to see how it was that Carol had improved so much. While this alternative treatment did not ultimately save her life, it likely stretched two to three years of life to six years of life—by the admission of another one of her brilliant young oncologists who later said, “Without any medical training or scientific fact, you have put together a protocol of treatment that has moved her into the top fraction of 1 percent of survival rates of all patients with Carol’s particular cancer. Application of the analogy: Hillary’s “known” is considerably worse–many times over–than Trump’s “unknown.”
  1.  Trump has lots of sins in his past (actually, we all do), and—in the present—says things he should not say. I make no attempt to defend any of the things he has said. There is no need to rehearse the wrong things he has said. We know what they are. He should not have thought or said them. But there is no need to rehash them here. So we won’t. But let’s turn to the other candidate. Although America has had some scandal-ridden candidates in its history, we have never seen any one major party candidate more constantly scandalous as Hillary (along with her husband). She seems to exceed all previous boundaries for wrongdoing. The scandals just don’t stop. In the same way we did not take time to list all of Trump’s misstatements, neither will we here rehash the seemingly continuous string of horrific scandals of the Clintons.
  1.   Trump is slowly being surrounded by increasingly good people. From time to time, I receive encouraging calls regarding this. Can these good people impact Trump? We will see. In contrast, I see no reason for any encouragement regarding the people who surround Hillary.
  2.   Trump is right on approximately 75 percent of the issues. I wish it was 100 percent. It is not. I am in hopes that those beginning to surround him can help him connect the dots on more issues. Hillary is wrong on 100 percent of the issues.
  3.   This next issue might be one of the most important, but I suspect few will understand its significance. Trump opposes globalism. Hillary thrives on it. Globalism is far more than “geographical” or “eliminating national borders and boundaries.” It is spiritual and demonic at its core. Few—very few—understand this. This is quite likely one of the main reasons why Trump is hated. Do your homework on this one. Think “principalities and powers.” Serious. Extremely serious.
  4.   Not voting is not a viable option, contrary to what the “purists” claim. It is not my intention to begin a war of the issue. I know that some radically disagree with this. My view? They have the right to be wrong.
  5.   Voting for a third party candidate is—regardless of what is said—a complete “throw-away.” No third party candidate will be elected, or even come remotely close to being elected. And yes, that matters to me. And for the record, the Libertarian ticket—Johnson and Weld—is nearly as bad on many issues as Hillary. When I listen to them, I am stunned people of their ability have ever made it to elective office.
  6.   Trump has moved pro-life. Hillary is pro-baby killing, and prides herself on that, and honors the organization—Planned Parenthood—that actually traffics human parts from dead babies whom they have killed. This is below anything we have seen since Nazi Germany. The gall of Hillary! The Clintons have evaded justice for decades and likely will continue to. But they will someday stand before the Great White Throne. They will have to give account of their support of the ripping babies to shreds in the womb. For the record, those who vote for those who support the genocide of pre-borns will also have to give an account.
  1.   Trump wants to defend the nation (which is the purpose of government). Hillary has a horrific track record as Secretary of State, and due to hundreds of millions of dollars given to her and her husband’s foundation, she is beholden to those who want us dead.
  2.   Hillary claims “everything is fine” in America. This defies every single fact, but facts have never been an interest of Hillary’s. Trump understands that it is 11:59 p.m. on the “cultural clock.” America is near the end—morally, economically, militarily and, sadly, spiritually. There are very clear identifiable indicators—measurable ones—that America is no longer the world’s leading power. That day is over. Hillary will hasten the final destruction. Trump could either slow that down—or possibly, with God’s help—reverse it. Maybe.
  3.   Trump will address the massive government spending. Hillary will expand it above the existing unsustainable debt the U.S. currently is carrying (almost $20 trillion plus unfunded liabilities to Social Security, etc).
  4.   Trump will expose—and I pray, bring down—”the systemic evil” (crony, deceitful, misuse of capitalism) that reigns among many high-dollar lobbyists. Hillary thrives because of them.
  5.   Trump will stop the massive overreach of government. Hillary will extend it.
  6.   Freedoms come in “threes.” Political freedom, economic freedom and religious liberty coexist together. Take one away and the other two will eventually disappear. One cannot exist without the other two. The genius of America is that it had all three, until recently. Trump fully grasps the loss of religious liberty. I have heard him speak on it in person on several occasions. He knows that economic and political freedoms are evaporating. He will reverse that. Hillary will decimate all three.
  1.   Every rational person knows the Supreme Court appointments are paramount. Trump has listed 11 superb potential nominees. Hillary’s appointments would snuff out the tiny vestige of the three freedoms that are left (mentioned in the statement above).

WHICH HILLARY “BASKET” DESCRIBES YOU?

It appears that Hillary is regrettable about some comments she made at a fundraiser in the ballroom of the Cipriano Wall Street Friday night, 9-9-16. Tickets were from $1200 up to $250,000 per person. I feel certain that Americas new elite class of citizens that attended did not include retired senior citizen veterans like myself. Do you feel offended that you were not invited?

If you were not there she was quite comfortable describing that all Trump supporters fell into two category’s. If you support Trump as I do see which Basket you fall into. I found these direct Hillary quotes in a Newsmax article that cited a recording of her remarks obtained by Variety.

To just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the ‘basket of deplorables. “Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people, now have 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive, hateful, mean-spirited rhetoric. Now some of those folks, they are irredeemable, but thankfully, they are not America.”

That other basket of people are people who feel that the government has let them down. The economy has let them down. Nobody cares about them. Nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures.” “And they are just desperate for change,” she said. “It doesn’t even matter where it comes from. They don’t buy everything he says, but he seems to hold out some hope that their lives will be different, that they won’t wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroin, feel like they are in a dead end. Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well”.

Well I am dead certain that I feel like I fit into “Basket” number two. Do any of the 600 people who read my articles consider my words to be offensive, hateful, mean-spirited rhetoric”? I have never been accused of being “Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic”, yet.

I plead guilty to knowing the government has let me down. The Obama economy and the Federal Reserve has doomed the future for most of my children and grandchildren. They have destroyed retirement for everyone but the “elite” , including Americans like myself . Before Obama if you saved enough to retire you had interest on your savings to live on like our parents were able to do.

The Federal Reserve removed this option to support the runaway spending by the Democrats to create a “Welfare Society” . We appear to have enough Americans on poverty or paid to sit on their ass and do nothing to assure we have a Liberal/Progressive government until we go broke. This will not be too far away/

You can be certain that I am “desperate for change”. It “matters to me where it comes from”. All we have is to “hold out some hope” that we can see a return to a Christian conservative America. I feel that most honest and freedom loving Americans do hope to wake up after the election and see jobs re-appear and Donald Trump as our President elect. Hillary and the Democrats will never understand us and we do not need empathy. They forgot us a long time ago.

Which “basket’ do you fit in? Do you agree with me? C Brewer 9-11-16

REPUBLICANS WHO WANT VOTE FOR TRUMP?

My great friend, Jim Heck sent me this message I have been trying to get people to understand. I feel these facts have been ignored by the media on purpose and even Trump has not capitalized on how this will impact America’s future. Every Republican vote possible is needed to win the Presidency. This single possibility is the greatest reason to elect Trump.  C Brewer

If you are a Republican who won’t vote for Trump think about it this way:

a.) If Trump wins and turns out to be a jerk as President, he’ll be tossed out in 4 years.

b.) If Hillary wins, because ‘you’ didn’t feel dignified enough to vote for Trump.. You, your children, and grandchildren will live under Hillary’s designated Supreme Court justices and their liberal rulings for many years to come (even if she is a jerk as President.

This is true … even after Hillary is gone AND, even if she is followed by a Republican President that you do like.

Food For Thought and this is Very Crucial … The Supreme Court

Some people have brought up the fact that they won’t vote for Trump for whatever reason. I just want to put something in perspective.

Justice Scalia’s seat is vacant, and Ginsberg is 82 years old, Kennedy is 79, Breyer is 77, Thomas is 67.

Nowadays, the data shows that the average age of a Supreme Court retirement or death occurs after 75.

These are 5 vacancies that will likely come up over the next 4-8 years. The next President will have the power to potentially create a 7-2 Supreme Court skewed in their ideology.

Think about that… 7-2.

If the next President appoints the next 5 justices, it will guarantee control of the Supreme Court for an entire generation … and 7-2 decisions will hold up much more over time than any 5-4 decisions which are viewed as lacking in mandate.

Hillary has made it clear she will use the Supreme Court to go after the 2nd Amendment. She has literally said that the Supreme Court was wrong in its Heller decision stating that the Court should overturn and remove the individual right to keep and bear arms. Period.

A “No” vote for Trump ‘is’ a vote for Hillary !

Hear this! If Hillary Clinton wins and gets to make these appointments, you likely will never see another conservative victory at the Supreme Court level for the rest of your life. Ever.

Remember Romney? Three million conservatives who had voted for McCain did not cast a vote for Romney (for whatever reason) and, the result was four an additional 4 years of B.H.O. If you are not convinced yet, I’ll leave with one final thought:

Hillary is already on the record as saying that her buddy, B.H.O. (Yep, that’s Barack Obama) “would make a great Supreme Court Justice.”

DID YOU JUST READ THAT LAST SENTENCE ??

NOW ARE YOU SCARED  ?? ANON

WHY HILLARY?

I have always considered myself honest, fair, and considerate but extremely firm when it comes to the law of the land and following explicit rules and instructions. My family and many people who have worked for me would be a chorus to tell you I am “Hard Headed”. I graduated from High School in May 1947 at 16 and I was convinced that I had learned everything possible and I was destined to be a leader.

This time period was focused on finding jobs for the brave young men who were lucky enough to have survived WWII. Finding a job then was about as hard as it would be today so when I reached 17 I joined the US Navy reserve. It took me several months but on March 17, 1948 I was accepted for active duty and I quickly discovered I was not as smart as I perceived. This transition from a boy to a man was expected and accepted as there were zero options. I learned that honesty, fairness, consideration were the rules but the one thing I added to my list was that “Respect” was not an option it is mandatory. I give the US Navy a lot of credit for preparing me to be a success. If I did not have to wear a hat I might have spent my life in the military.

I have had an active life that most people would revere. I have worked and/or visited in 32 countries and 49 states. I have witnessed how people are treated, especially females, as I have had two wives, five daughters and currently nineteen daughters in-law, grand daughters and great grand daughters. If we had an honest media you would see how the Muslims treat women and girls that would make Christians throw up. The media can’t remove the things I witnessed with my own eyes.

I have watched the Democratic Party switch from the conservative political views to the most Liberal-Progressive political party in my 86 years. Texas and most people my age or twenty years younger were conservative Democrats at one time. We did not change but the Democratic Party did.

Folks, someone is going to have to pay for the 20 trillion dollar debt. Hillary has called for another 500,000 Muslims to be dumped into poverty so they will vote for Democrats. We can’t even take care of our veterans who have worse health care than illegal aliens.

Hillary will continue to thwart our energy industry with regulations and end our coal industry entirely. If our government would wake up, the energy industry alone could create at least 500,000 good jobs in less than six months. We have more than enough coal, oil and natural gas to become an exporter in two years. This could ease and reduce the national debt.

Good hard working Americans have watched their jobs disappear, especially after Bill Clinton gave us NAFTA. Why unions can’t wake up and see how the Democrats have systematically caused so many of its members to be without jobs. Why do the union leaders never lose their positions?

If Hillary wins this election she will have everyone on welfare, most Blacks, most union members, the same army of young women who are blind and as many dead people as they can dig up.

I am in my twilight years of my life and blessed to still be here. I can’t believe that females, union members and the black folks are dumb enough to vote for someone who created the poverty and unemployment that plagues America today.

When I do croak the Democrats will not be able to register me to vote by getting my name off of a tombstone. I have chosen to be cremated.     C Brewer September 7, 2016

VOTE FOR TRUMP?

Please Read to the Bottom…

“He’s nothing but a B-List TV personality. He has no business being in politics.”

“He’s been divorced and remarried. He can’t commit to anything.”

“He’s dangerously ignorant about international affairs. The Russian leaders will walk all over him.”

“He has no filter – doesn’t think before he speaks.”

“Until recently, he was a Democrat. He’s not a real Republican. He hasn’t paid his GOP dues.”

“He used to be Pro Choice. Now, suddenly he’s Pro Life?”

“That can’t be his real hair!”

“He’s a loose cannon. No one wants HIS finger on the nuclear button.”

“His opponent has the experience and political savvy to be president. He does not.”

“He’s just not presidential.”

“His temperament disqualifies him from ever being Commander-In-Chief.”

“He’s proven himself to be mentally unstable.”

“The military will never accept him as Commander-In-Chief. He’s not smart enough.”

“The GOP doesn’t want him to be the head of the party. He could never reach across the aisle to get anything done.”

“Most Republican voters will just stay home rather than go out and vote for him.”

“He’s almost 70. Much too old to be president.”

“Evangelicals will never support him.”

“He says ‘(Let’s) Make America Great Again’.  How dare he say we aren’t still great?!?!”

“His intellect is thinner than spit on a slate rock.”

“90 percent of Republican state chairmen judge him guilty of ‘simplistic approaches,’ with ‘no depth in federal government administration’ and ‘no experience in foreign affairs.'”

“His spontaneity with reporters and voters plays well but also gives him plenty of space to disgorge fantasies and factual errors so prolific and often outrageous that he single-handedly makes the word gaffe a permanent fixture in  America ’s political vernacular. He confuses  Pakistan with  Afgha nistan . He claimed once that trees contributed 93 percent of the atmosphere’s nitrous oxide…”

“After all his gaffs, he doubles down on them instead of admitting he made a mistake.”

“He’s threatening to upend our treaties and relationships with our allies by demanding that they pay for their own defense!”

“Because of his gross factual errors he might take rash action and needlessly lead this country into open warfare!”

“He’s racist, xenophobic, and fuels the fires of hatred!”

“You shouldn’t take him seriously. He has a penchant for offering simplistic solutions to hideously complex problems and a stubborn insistence that he is always right in every argument.”

“The  rising turnout of his voters are not loyal Republicans or Democrats and are alienated from both parties because neither takes a sympathetic view toward their issues.”

“He wears the disdain he draws from the GOP elites as a badge of honor. Henry Kissinger’s championing the other GOP candidate and attacking him are actually  helping him!” “The fact that he could be deemed a serious candidate for president is a shame and embarrassment for the country.”

The New Yorker observed that his appeal “has to do not with competence at governing but with the emotion he evokes… [He] lets people get out their anger and frustration, their feeling of being misunderstood and mishandled by those who have run our government, their impatience with taxes and with the poor and the weak, their impulse to deal with the world’s troublemakers by employing the stratagem of a punch in the nose.”

“His unpopular opponent presided over the current Iranian crisis… and a reeling economy, yet surely the Democrat will prevail over him.”

“Is he Safe? …he shoots from the hip … he’s over his head … What are his solutions?”

“Voters want to follow some authority figure, — a leader who can take charge with authority; return a sense of discipline to our government; and, manifest the willpower needed to get this country back on track — Or at least a leader from outside Washington,”

Sound familiar? You’ve heard this all about Donald Trump, right?  Try Again. All this was said of Ronald Reagan in 1976 and 1980. Most of it was BY OTHER REPUBLICANS, and Reagan turned out to be arguably the greatest president of the 20th Century.

My friend Bob McGraw sent me this wonderful message where history is repeating itself, I hope? It is amazing how the Republican Party can be so hung up on isues like abortion they slay each other. What we are currently watching is even worse as if they get Trump defeated they just turned over the Supreme Court to the Liberal-Progressives for the next 50 years. C Brewer

PROGRESSIVE MEDIA BIAS?

UNBELIEVABLE, WHEN YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT IT.

It is amazing that, within only one week of Tiger Woods crashing his Escalade, the press found every woman with whom Tiger has had an affair during the last few years?

They even uncovered photos, text messages, recorded phone calls, etc.!

They not only know the cause of the family fight, but they even know it was a wedge from his golf bag that his wife used to break out the windows in the Escalade.

They even knew which wedge!

Each & every day, they were able to continue to provide America with updates on Tiger’s sex rehab stay, his wife’s divorce settlement figures, as well as the dates tournaments in which he was to play.

NOW CHANGE THE SUBJECT TO THE OBAMA’S!

Barack Hussein Obama has been in office for well over seven years, yet this very same press Cannot find any of his childhood friends or neighbors.

They have never found any of Obama’s high school or college classmates.

They have never located any of his college papers or grades.

They have never determined how he paid for both a Columbia & a Harvard education.

They have never discovered which country issued his visa to travel to Pakistan in the 1980’s.

Thave never reported Michelle Obama’s Princeton thesis was on racism.

They just can’t seem to uncover any of this.

Yet, most of the American public still trusts that same press to give them the whole truth!

Don’t you find that totally amazing? The answer is “Payoff Money”

FOLKS, THE AMERICAN PRESS IS CORRUPT AND IF YOU BELIEVE HALF OF WHAT THEY PRINT OR SAY YOU ARE JUST AS CORRUPT.

Remember, you cannot get the water to clear up until you get the pigs out of the creek. ANON

This information has been around for a few years now and we still see and hear what the corrupt media has continued to shovel out. I have no idea who compiled the original facts that I have edited and paraphrased. if someone knows I will give them credits.

I have given up using any information from the national media and depend on the internet and E messages to create articles. The bias has also corrupted the sources designed to validate information like Snopes. Washington has become the creek mentioned above and every facet of our government from a Page in Congress to the President need to be eliminated, rehabilitated or replaced.

LETTER TO THE AMERICAN MEDIA

I am publishing THIS to honor all of my Louisiana friends who would make all Texans proud to have asw friends. We live on the border and we have as many friends in Louisiana as we have in Texas. These folks are just Texans that talk different and some of the finest people on earth. Our nearby friends, John & Patsy Sommer’s, who have a camp on the lake across the street from us, had over three feet of water in their Baton Rouge home and one car and lost everything. They are removing the damaged furniture, sheet rock, cabinets and have over 8 feet of debris stacked in their front yard to be hauled away some day. Yesterday was Patsy’s birthday and she worked all day removing debris from the house. They are as strong as the description this letter portrays. Instead of whining like Obama’s Welfare Army for more free stuff they rolled up their sleeves and went to work. Obviously a whining Demoncrat has no idea what “WORK is. Baton Rouge has their share of Obama’s Army that the media will use to probably to help Obama attack Trump for causing the rain. I told the Sommer’s that Obama was coming to Baton Rouge next Tuesday to have a photo op with his Army and would kelp them, out.

God Bless Louisiana and God Bless Texas.   C Brewer  8-21-16

A letter by a Baton Rouge attorney is going viral after her indictment on the national media’s response to flooding across the state of Louisiana.

The full letter is below:

Dear CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, ABC News, CBS News, Good Morning America, the Today Show and whatever other news organizations professing to employ people who refer to themselves as Journalists:

cc: all Facebook Friends (as promised)

FYI There is a flood in Louisiana.

You’ve met us before. You came and camped out over here during a very painful period in our existence about a month ago. You went into a neighborhood you’ve never been in, in a state it’s quite possible that you’ve never visited (despite that you are “very well-travelled”). Although, I realize you are sophisticated, and accepting of “other” cultures, you managed to pass judgment on an entire community in your own country, who were mourning and struggling to figure out – what the hell just happened – and where do we go from here – all of us (well most of us) – in good faith. You didn’t offer help, you didn’t offer support, you offered criticism – and then you left.

Oh you came back, a few weeks later, a lunatic, who also had never been here, showed up and murdered three of our finest citizens. In broad daylight. In the middle of town. You came back. With more criticism. More speculation. More side taking. When in the community I live, we were basically all on the same side. We’re all in this together. I hate to pull a hashtag, but seriously #unBRoken.

Not one person I watched on the national news during the weeks following Alton Sterling’s death, or the murder of three police officers gave my friends, my family, my neighbors – any credit or the benefit of the doubt. Nope. The entire news media looked for someone to blame. Depending on what network you watched the target of blame was Sterling himself, the cops, the South, the guns, the whatever. Not one person I watched on the national news assumed that the whole city was by and large, and in good faith, just trying to wrap our brains around what happened, and trying to make our city whole again.

I think you people are stone cold silent about this flood, because really, there’s no agenda to push. There’s no side to take. There’s nobody to blame. So even though you don’t seem in the least bit curious, here’s what’s been happening around here since you left.

First – as previously stated. There was a Noah’s Ark Level Flood. It affected all of us. Black, white, dog, cat, man, woman, child, transsexual.

While it was still raining, a spontaneous, private, and well-meaning navy of ordinary people assembled themselves. They were black, white, asian and otherwise. They weren’t protesting anything. They got into their own boats, spent their own money, spent their own time, risked their own lives. Black people saved white people. White people saved black people. Nobody asked what color you were before knocking on your door. These are not first responders on some list somewhere. These are a bunch of guys who like to hunt and fish and as a result own flat bottom boats and they assumed that the actual police and other first responders, not to mention their fellow citizens – could use a little help. So they just showed up. Nobody told them to. They wanted to.

Meanwhile, across town, a spontaneous, private and well-meaning army of ordinary people assembled themselves in a 7 warehouse, un-airconditioned sound stage. (And FYI, it’s REALLY hot in August in Louisiana). They found some fans. And they had plenty of room. They gathered canned goods, bottled water, Gatorade, Neosporin, BandAids, Toothbrushes, deodorant, hairspray, sleeping bags, chairs and pillows. They set up kitchens with their tailgating party supplies. Nobody told them to. They just did it. Why? All because people who just lost everything about a half hour ago, got plucked off of their rooftops in helicopters and this army knew that they needed somewhere to go, and something to eat. Pretty much instinctively.

Meanwhile, across town, people who usually lived as one family unit in well-kept homes slept on air mattresses in friends homes watching flood waters threaten every memory, every belonging, every photograph, everything they spent their whole lives building, every spot their child took their first step become over-run with ruin, knowing it would be months, if not years before they clean up the mess. People who lost homes in Katrina, went through the same thing again. People who don’t own much to speak of, have nowhere to return to. All of these people woke up in a place where they have nowhere to send their kids to school. Indefinitely. All of these people I’ve seen, are sad, they are tired – but they are resilient – they are smiling.

We have not even begun to count our dead, much less bury them, and we’re still in mourning over the events from last months. For the love of goodness the least you could do is offer us a little encouragement.

I suppose a bunch of self-sufficient folks that actually love one another, and are trying to figure things out isn’t as interesting to you as casting gross stereotypes over people who live fly-over country. But we are a little bit baffled after all that unwanted attention we got a few weeks back, when we actually need you to get the word out, you are nowhere to be found.

As much as it pains me to ask, we need you to shine a light on this. There are people here who need help. Let’s take a time out from monitoring Donald Trump’s Twitter Feed and deal with this one. We need attention because we cannot rebuild our infrastructure, our schools, our homes, our businesses without the money that the attention will bring. So here is what we need you to explain to people that don’t live in Louisiana:

1) This water damage was caused by rain. Not a tidal surge. There’s a difference. I don’t have lots of time to explain, it – but the main difference is, that this is such a bad ass amount of rain that it only happens every 1000 years. Yes. One thousand years.

2) As a result of how infrequently this happens (yes every 1000 years) Nobody knew this was coming. We thought it would rain. We did not realize we would get almost three feet of rain in some places. 14 trillion gallons water is now trying to drain out of rivers, and bayous and ditches that are stretched beyond capacity. Think about that. Where’s all the water gonna go? Hell I don’t really know, but I can tell you this on its trip to the Gulf of Mexico (which is incidentally where a lot of your rainwater goes) – it’s gonna travel over places it hasn’t been for one-thousand-years. Sometimes that’s the first floor of your house. Sometimes – it’s the only floor of your house. Sometimes its your entire business. That supports you, and supports others. Either way, you have no place to inhabit for months because you can’t live in a house that’s been covered in water or sell your wares out of a store that nobody can get to.

3) This flood affected people from every walk of life. It did not discriminate between the good side of town, or the bad side of town. It was an equal opportunity offender. It just tried to ruin half a state. Despite what you may think, we’re fairly united against this slithering, slimy common enemy. We have only just begun to figure out how to dig our way out. Maybe you can help us figure it out. At this point, we’re open to suggestions, or at least some assistance in ripping out wet sheetrock.

4) You can buy maximum value flood insurance, and it will not – repeat not – cover the cost of the average price of a home in East Baton Rouge Parish. Plus, notably, flood insurance must be purchased separately from regular homeowners/property insurance. Most Homeowners insurance policies will cover you if you suffer any other form of natural disaster – by that I mean earthquakes, tornadoes and wildfires. But for some reason, not floods. Nope. That is limited. There are maps that insurance companies have where they think it could possibly flood. There are uninsured houses right now, that are in a place that some beancounter in an insurance company did not think it would flood. Maybe someone could check out what the hell is going on with flood insurance. We certainly talk a lot about health insurance.

5) There’s stuff we have that cannot be replaced.

6) Al Sharpton, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, President Obama, Kim Kardasian, and others – are nowhere to be found. (Although props to Taylor Swift for the cool million she sent us).

This education is sorely needed because the few, and I mean very few, articles I have been able to locate on the national news have said nothing about the above 6 points. But the best part? The comments. They clarify how uneducated the rest of the United States is about Louisiana (while usually, and ironically calling the people in Louisiana uneducated). In addition to the fact that “environmentalists” who love the Earth do not realize that Baton Rouge is NOT on the coast or below sea level (my favorite irony), these people think we are cultural Neanderthals. They don’t realize that we have our own music, food, language and culture. It’s a gift, and we are grateful and proud of it. It’s your fault you won’t take the time to understand it – not mine.

However, the recurring criticism and/or question from these “commentators” is why don’t these people just move? I have two responses to you.

The First, by way of example: Remember the Tsunami that happened in Thailand? A bunch of people on expensive vacations got mowed down by an unpredictable, unforeseeable weather event. Not once did I hear anyone ask: why would you go on vacation where there could be a Tsunami? Nope. All the people I know were too busy praying novenas and donating money to go to some country they may never see to stop and ask such a thing.

The more significant reason we don’t move away is because this is the kind of place that prays novenas and sends money to places we’ve never been in the hope of sending help and comfort to people we have never met. We are the kind of people that assemble a volunteer army, and a volunteer navy whose sole mission is to spread love, support and a hot meal to our neighbors and community. We’re dropped off in a shelter with a couple thousand of our new friends, and honestly still find a way to laugh together. The Cajun Uber joke on Facebook is priceless. That’s it. Our joie de vie is in our DNA, and it grows out of this soil, and it is contagious. But only in this place. On this little part of muddy earth. We know all our cousins. We live a block from our grandparents. Plus the food is really, really good.

Come hell or high water, we’re not going anywhere. You’re welcome to visit anytime. We promise, no matter what, we will love you anyway, we will always send rescue, and we will always find a way to make you smile. And after all that we will, most definitely, feed you.

Love,
The State of Louisiana

OBAMACARE IS DESTROYING OUR HEALTHCARE!

My friend, Dr. Peter Forrest, sent me the following aticle that was submitted to the Houston Chronicle and I feel should be shared with everyone in America. I urge you to comment and send this to everyone you know. We need to demand that Congress stop this run away train before the entire healthcare industry is destroyed by our own government. C Brewer

Well, America’s chickens are coming home to roost (to quote Jeremiah Wright). The collapse of the Exchanges and the trembling of the teetering group health insurance market following the liberal plan. The feds and the Democratic Party have come close to completly destabilizing and undermining the private system for health insurance and the most superior health care financing mechanism the world has ever seen. This is a system that has resulted in the citizens of this country enjoying the highest quality of care and the most innovative and modern mechanism for research and scientific advancement the world has ever wittnesed.
But Democrats saw another way.  An avenue to further control not only the people, but also the opportunity to eliminate the private and personal delivery of health services from provider to patient without a government overseer in the room to interfere.  Yes, there were some shortfalls in the system, and you could say insurance companies sometimes intervened and asked for cost accommodations from doctors and patients to try to rein in some spending patterns, but clients were free to change carriers if they felt they were not being served properly.  They could CHOOSE (imagine) other options and different policies if they wished.  Now the straightjacket  tailoring of the federal government has nearly extinguished all those options.

Dictating policy provisions, mandating benefits that were neither requested nor necessary, removing any underwriting capabilities, forcing guarantee issue and community rating, they forced all insurance carriers down a cattle chute of requirements to the slaughterhouse for private coverage by a Judas goat, leading to the ultimate leftist goal….single payer.  We now stand on the precipice of this Marxist tenet …. ‘control their healthcare, and you control the people’.  All these companies (Blue Cross, UHC, Humana, Aetna, Scott & White), have lost hundreds of millions of dollars each attempting to satisfy the ‘central planners’ vision of what healthcare should be.   Knowledgeable and experienced government overlords (like Jonathan Gruber and the brilliant Nancy Pelosi) have now brought us to the doorstep of a nationalized system, never to return.  Yes, it most likely will be ‘VA coverage for all’ soon now.  Remember it when you ‘que-up’ for English style NHS coverage and wait for months or years for life-saving treatments that must wait for next year’s funding budget to consider a specialist appointment or complicated cancer surgery that’s is so readily available and delivered daily in Houston and all around this country.  Too bad if you perish while waiting line, it’s the system ….comrade.
You mention that Aetna’s exit might be related to their request to merge with Humana and not just the hundreds of millions of dollars in losses they were incurring in the Exchanges.  Yes, I’m sure that had an element in the decision, as they were trying to find an avenue to survive by economizing operations with another partner.  But the losses they were sustaining (along with BC, UHC, etc., etc.) were real and growing.   Can you blame them for trying to survive by consolidation?  Isn’t that what newspapers do?  They’re reacting to the strict government regulations, the same way the banks did when the Federal government pushed them into making bad loans to people who couldn’t and wouldn’t be able to pay the loans back (thanks to The Community Reinvestment Act).  It didn’t matter, the feds forced the loans anyway, it was  ..….. ‘make the loan or risk audits, fines, and loss of your charter’……  subtle.  Then the banks were blamed for the mortgage and financial collapse, just exactly where this is all headed for the insurance companies, they’ll be made the scapegoat, not the Democrats who passed this law without a single Republican vote.

I’m sure the democrat excuse will be …..’Well, we tried to do this through the private sector, but they just couldn’t handle it.  Nothing left but single payer’…. Despite stacking the deck against the industry for a predetermined outcome.  Are you proud of The Chronicle’s role in cheerleading for the demise of healthcare in America?  Do you and your colleagues believe you will be happy with the medical services in your ‘Brave New World’?  I don’t think so.

Just like Cuba and Venezuela, Socialism always over promises and under delivers. I think you will lament your role in this.
