HAPPY NEW YEAR?

I have no idea if anyone actually reads the articles I write as virtually no one appears willing to send me feedback. My friend, Freddie “Tadpole” Keel, encouraged me to write and initially set up my WordPress site and taught me how to use it. Preparing to create this posting I as more than surprised to see that I published my first article on September 17, 2010, over 7 years ago. My next surprise was to see that I have published 1128 articles, so far.

My only disappointment is that over those seven years I have received only 1141 comments. Writing is usually a way for people to make a living. For me it has always been a way to share my thoughts, beliefs and knowledge gained in my 47 year career. Starting at seventeen when I joined the Navy, 27 years, 25 in management for Lockheed, 5 years in executive management for Halliburton and 11 years in business for myself. One of my most rewarding task was writing Quality Standard Q-1, including committee structure and guidance procedures for the American Petroleum Institute. I finished my Masters degree at 47. I am a retired Registered Professional Engineer, Member of Mensa, Intertel, ASME, SPE, AQC,and a life member of the PTA.

I had my first international experience at age 28 and when I retired I had worked in 23 different countries and 49 states. I have visited in 32 countries. One unusual thing is the country I was in 33 times, Japan, was a country where I never worked a day. I changed planes in Tokyo and never set foot outside the airport flying to and from other Asian countries. The foreign countries I spent the most time in were Indonesia, Singapore, Denmark, Mexico and Canada.

I started both alone and with partners nine different companies in the US, Canada and Singapore. One thing I found interesting was the help from government agencies in starting businesses in Canada and Singapore. They helped at every step including financial with government loans.

In the United States any form of Government help to start a small business is nonexistent or hidden.

I have enjoyed 24 years of retirement and 87 years of life. The primary reason I am still alive is the love of my life, Norma, who has been my wife, partner, motivator and Judge for 57 years. My mind has not regressed but physically from my knees down I feel 97, I have seven children and counting spouses i currently have 46 in my family of grandchildren, great grandchildren and my first great great grandchild. This group has 5 Doctors, 4 Lawyers (3 too many), 5 educators, a CPA, Petroleum Engineer, Aerospace Manager, three Nurses, 6 now in college and 2 less than 6 months old. Now let me finish this walk through my life and ask everyone who reads this to tell me about your life and I will write articles about some who read my work. If family and friends were money I would be the richest man on earth. Please respond.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

CONGRESS IS USELESS, WHY?

The people finally woke up and decided that our lawless President and the “Welfare Army” would eventually force changes to our Constitutional Republic form of government to be a Socialists democracy. I have visited several Socialistic forms of government and written a much read article about the Socialist Monarchy that has been successful in Denmark.

The major difference between what has been accomplished in Denmark and what the Progressives have been pushing for America is in Denmark if you are able to work you have to work and everyone pays 8.5% of what the earn into the healthcare system. Denmark has a workable healthcare system without the massive debt the United States has incurred as everyone able works.

We listen to never-ending debates during our 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days most years political battles between politicians either running for re-election or crying because they lost. Listening to blacks crying about their need to be compensated for slavery makes me sick. They are poor because they don’t want to work. They are kept poor by the politicians they elect keep them poor. What we need in America is jobs, jobs, jobs in that order.

During the recent “Silly Season” to elect the same people to Congress that keep the poor people poor so they can live high off of the hog in the Washington swamp had a new face emerge. We will have a new President who was elected to hopefully drain the Washington swamp and guess what, he wants to put Americans back to work. The people who do work for a living finally banded together to tell Congress to stop the race to bankruptcy and get ready to help Donald Trump get the “Welfare Army” a job and help unite Americans once again.

Why 535 elected Congresspersons cry, moan, make excuses for a crumbling infrastructure and never do anything to fix anything? I watched as a boy  a Progressive-Liberal-Democratic President and Congress put people to work who could not find jobs by creating new or repairing old infrastructure. Putting our current 49,000,000 “Welfare Army”  to work fixing the needed repairs would at least get something accomplished at no additional costs. Even the women members of the “Army” who shuck out kids to increase their benefits could sort mail, lick stamps and help sending out the mountain of mail we get from Medicare alone. These lifetime “Army” members could help at every level of government and earn at least part of their “Freebies” like Obama phones and food stamps.

It is time to stop all free government services and welfare payments to illegal aliens. They have better healthcare than our veterans which is criminal. Even prisoners receive better healthcare than our veterans. Why, because Congress is broken. Folks these Congresspersons work for us and we need to demand better service from each and every one of them or throw them off of the “Gravy Train”.

We need to urge Donald Trump to lead a movement to force a national vote to limit all Congress members to a maximum of two terms in office just like we have for the President. Congress will never put this to a vote themselves as the only people who work less annually than they do are those in the “Welfare Army”. Congress keeps increasing the members of this “Army” so they  can be re-elected.  Why is Congress broken, because they enjoy they best benefits most Americans will never have. They are not on Obamacare that the Demoncrats are screaming to save, Why?

Wake up American citizens and derail the Congressional “Gravy Train”.  Trump just announced that NATO is obsolete like the United Nations, hopefully he will soon announce, so is the US Congress.  C Brewer

AMERICAN LEADERSHIP AND THE WORLD!

During my lifetime, my travels took me to thirty-two nations with many different systems of government worldwide. This enabled my observing and concluding that there is no perfect system. Kingdoms with ample funds to make everyone happy like Saudi Arabia appear ideal yet they produce dissidents too. I was amazed to discover that Indonesia which has no socialistic rescue programs but makes sure that jobs are available for all to work. Denmark was an interesting place where Socialism appears to work with a tax structure that everyone able to work pays for the social programs that the government appears to manage fairly. Even with a 50% tax rate for most all the people I observed seemed pleasantly happy.

Leadership was the mechanism and the reason in every culture my travels took me to explain why the people were from happy to miserable with several steps within this range. In America, we have systemically over my 86 years, reduced the educational knowledge of the people gradually by different politically driven leaders both by accident and design. The Progressive movement is likely the reason as you must have control of the people’s minds to tax them heavily and still make them happy like those in Denmark.

America’s young people are no longer being trained as leaders by the academic world as the faculties of most universities have no leadership knowledge themselves. They can motivate the youth to rebel and demonstrate but by distortion and deceit. The number of natural born leaders has diminished as to both the father and mother work while the children are reared by mercenaries. It has been sad to read about the mass of young American children who live in the northern states with rigid union teachers who graduate and can’t adequately read or write. The more severe proof that our education systems have failed is the millions of college graduates that can’t find decent jobs. The recent demonstrations and damage inflicted by University students because Hillary Clinton lost the election is proof we have successfully educated an army of dissidents. Professors have succeeded in making them tools to use like idiots to create havoc and damage over an election.

Electing Trump was the only thing in my lifetime to possible stop this Progressive Socialistic drive to scrap our Constitution and slowly reduce our freedoms. The progressives biggest mistake was accelerating their desire to make these changes happen faster by taking jobs away so overtly obvious. Obama was in too big a hurry to use the race reasons to incite the minorities to rebel. Jamming the plan to socialize medical care down the people’s throats was one reason why enough Americans decided enough was enough. Shipping the good jobs offshore was the motivation necessary for the working Americans to ignore their misguided union leader’s plea to elect Hillary. The Progressives just accelerated their Socialistic desires much too fast and hopefully sunk their movement for the next several years.

We have now elected a proven leader for the first time since Eisenhower during my 86 years. Now we have a chance to preserve the Republic and hope it may have survived. If Trump can quickly get people back to work, stop the racial and idiot demonstrations, stop the influx of Muslims who will never be happy in a Christian nation he can and will unite the people. No politician alive could have ever done this as they know if they make waves the people will vote them out.

The second wave of change will be to improve the educational system, force term limits on all politicians and make America a Christian nation again. Can he do this, yes if he is the leader he promised to be. Should he start conceding on any of his promises he will have just joined the lousy bunch of bureaucrats who are too dumb to listen to the people who have had enough.

I am excited that I may live long enough to see the America and Americans who united to stop the Germans and Japanese from ruling the world. A country where Christians will again be allowed to pray in our Schools like the Muslim invaders. Muslims will always be our enemy that our current President has forced the States to accept. A free America will never be acceptable to any Muslim. Trump has promised to strengthen our military make others pay for our protection services we have provided for over 70 years to Japan and Germany. Obama has tried to destroy our military power by forcing

Trump has also promised to strengthen our military make others pay for our protection services we have provided for over 70 years to Japan and Germany. Obama has tried to destroy our military power by forcing the best-trained leaders in the world to retire

Should Donald Trump fail, he will have at least united enough Americans to demand action to preserve the Republic, I Hope? Please give him a chance to try.

SOCIALISM – DENMARK STYLE!

I selected Denmark as a benchmark for Americans to evaluate as it is probably the best example of a European Socialist democracy. I also spent a lot of time in Denmark when they were re-aligning their society to accommodate their younger people’s desire for expanded life styles. It was similar to the post Vietnam period in America when the hippies and druggies protested just about everything. This is the same type of protest we see today in our cities begging for a Socialist America.

Copenhagen at that time was, and I am certain still is, a beautiful city. It was sickening to me to walk through the city and see discarded drug syringes in the flower beds and condoms on the ground in the parks but they had the freedom to do as they desired. Hopefully this has changed as it has been some 20 years since my last visit.

One other memory was on a tour of Copenhagen and the guide pointed out all of the beautiful buildings such as hospitals, cultural centers, museums, government offices and boasted about everything being free. Free medical care; free everything that he described, it sounded like Utopia. He was then asked how much of his salary went to taxes and he boasted, only 48%. I have read enough about Denmark today to convince me the people are happy with their lifestyle and rules.

LET ME SHARE SOME FACTS TO PONDER

Denmark is a constitutional monarchy. I suppose that is why our President is so enthralled with changing America into a European democracy and his love for Denmark. He can become the first “King” of America.

Political life in Denmark is orderly and democratic. Political changes occur gradually through a process of consensus, and political methods and attitudes are generally moderate. Growing numbers of immigrants and refugees throughout the 1990s, led to over a decade of growing support for anti-immigrant and already-tight immigration laws, the latest revision taking effect August 10, 2009. However, the left-of-center government that took office October 3, 2011 has indicated it will seek to ease immigration requirements. Sounds like what happened here when Obama and Holder took power.

The Social Democratic Party is a well-organized labor movement but today appealing more broadly to the middle class, held power either alone or in coalition for most of the postwar period except from 1982 to 1993. That was the time frame of my visits. Then the Danish People’s Party was a key factor in bringing into power a new minority right-of-center coalition government today led by Liberal Party chief Anders Rasmussen. Sounds familiar and fits Obama’s dreams of a world order someday. At least the Marxist are not there, yet.

The judicial branch consists of 22 local courts, two high courts, several special courts (e.g., arbitration and maritime), and a Supreme Court of 15 judges appointed by the crown on the government’s recommendation.

Denmark is divided into five regions and 98 municipalities. The regions and municipalities are both led by councils elected every 4 years, but only the municipal councils have the power to levy taxes. Regional councils are responsible for health services and regional development, while the municipal councils are responsible for day care, elementary schools, and care for the elderly, culture, environment, and roads. Total government control, the Socialist dream for America.

Danes are proud of their welfare safety net, which ensures that all Danes receive basic health care and need not fear poverty. The portion of working-age Danes (16 to 66-year-olds) that are living on government welfare is 24% (2010). Health care, other than for acute needs, and care for the elderly and children has suffered. About one-third of the labor force is employed in the public sector. Can you imagine America if over 100,000,000 worked for a government? On second thought if we count the ones who don’t work and live off of the government, we likely exceed one third of the population.

Now look at how they pay all of this Socialist happiness;

a) Everyone pays a flat 8% Social Contribution tax.

b) If you make over 42,900 Dkk ($7559.44 US dollars) you have municipal taxes range from 23% – 28%, Health tax 8%, Base state tax 3.76%.

c) If you make over 389,900 Dkk ($66,673.26 US dollars) you have the same 23-28% municipal tax and the 8% health tax but your state tax rate is 15%. The maximum rate for these taxes cannot exceed 51.5%, 51.5 + 8 = 59.5%.

How do you like them apples???????????????????? Well there is more and Denmark has a non-deductable Value Added Tax (VAT) that we have so far avoided in America. This tax is applied every time something changes hands. It is only 25%. If you are unfamiliar with a VAT tax, you best get acquainted as this will be the next method to squeeze more out of everyone and will just make the poor people poorer.

Denmark also has mandatory military service (includes things like our Peace Corps, etc.) for the fit and able. I bet the “Occupy our Cities” bunch would love this. This why Denmark does not have the civil unrest and fewer prisons than we do. If we had the same rule in America we could have the peace and prosperity we used to enjoy. Here we just pay people not to work to gain their votes so they can use crime to enhance their welfare.

Denmark is about the size of New Hampshire and Vermont combined and with some 5.5 million citizens is nearly 3 times the number we have in these two states.

It is a great place to visit but would you want to live there? One thing is certain; if the “Occupiers” applied for political asylum they would be denied. Maybe Obama will use his pied pipe and lead these other unhappy Socialist somewhere else. It would be easier to establish his Kingdom in Africa where there is a lot more space and he could be happy. He already has family ties there and the boys even look like they could be his sons.

TAXES-WILL THIS WILL BALANCE THE BUDGET?

I believe this will be the bi-partisan solution soon.  CB

Current European tax rates:

United Kingdom
  Income Tax:  50%
    VAT:  17.5%   TOTAL:  67.5%
 France
  Income Tax:  40%
    VAT:  19.6%   TOTAL:  59.6%
 Greece
  Income Tax:  40%
    VAT:  25%      TOTAL:  65%
Spain
  Income Tax:  45%
   VAT:  16%      TOTAL:  61%
Portugal
  Income Tax:  42%
    VAT:  20%      TOTAL:  62%
Sweden
  Income Tax:  55%
    VAT:  25%      TOTAL:  80%
Norway
  Income Tax:  54.3%
    VAT:  25%      TOTAL:  79.3%
Netherlands
  Income Tax:  52%
    VAT:  19%      TOTAL:  71%
 Denmark
  Income Tax:  58%
    VAT:  25%      TOTAL:  83%
 Finland
  Income Tax:  53%
    VAT:  22%      TOTAL:  75%

If you’ve started to wonder what the real costs of socialism will be when fully implemented take a look at these taxes. As you digest these mind-boggling figures, keep in mind that in spite of these astronomical tax rates, these countries are still not financing their social welfare programs exclusively with tax revenues! They are deeply mired in public debt of gargantuan proportions.  Greece has reached the point where it’s debt is so huge it is in imminent danger of defaulting. That is the reason the European economic community has intervened to bail them out.  If you’re following the financial news, you know Spain and Portugal are right behind Greece .

The United States is now heading right down the same path. The VAT tax (Value Added Tax) in the table is the national sales tax that Europeans pay. Stay tuned because that is exactly what you can expect to see the administration proposing. The initial percentage in the United States isn’t going to be anywhere near the outrageous numbers you now see in Europe. Guess what… the current outrageous numbers in Europe didn’t start out as outrageous either. They started out as miniscule, around the 1% or 2% where they will likely start out in the United States. Magically, however, they ran up over the years to where they are now. Expect the same thing here.

It is the very notion that with hard work and perseverance,

anybody can get ahead economically here in the USA . Do you think that can ever happen with tax rates between 60% and 80%?  Think again. With the government taking that percentage of your money, your life will be exactly like life in Europe. You will never be able to buy a home. You will never buy a car. You will never send your children to college.

Let’s not shuffle the battle cry of the socialists under the rug either. It’s always the same cry. Equalize income. Spread the wealth to the poor (whoever they are). Level the economic playing field.  Accomplish that and everything will be rosy. It’s time to take a really hard look at reality.  Greece is a perfect example. Despite the socialism system that has ruled this country for decades, with a 65% tax rate, they are drowning in public debt, would have defaulted without hundreds of  billions in bailout money from the EU, and still. . .  20% of their population lives in poverty. What has all that socialism money bought, besides ultimate power for the politicians running the show? Do you think these people are “free”?

They’re not.  They are slaves to their economic “system.” Instead of spreading the wealth around, spread this around, it might wake some people up for a change.
