KILL AN AMERICAN – PART ONE

My friend, Don Dukes, sent me the following article and like myself, Don was born during the American depression in the 1930’s. This basic description of an American was closer aligned to life before the 1960’s and Lyndon Johnson’s acts to create another “Civil War”. Reading this gave me a rush of pride that was intended by the unnamed author who has failed to describe what has happened to American freedoms over my lifetime. This article is being posted on my blog today word for word.

As I am recovering from knee surgery it may be awhile before I complete a part two article. I will explain how the powerful in America are trying to eliminate the middle class which has neutered their power over the past 60 years. Folks, America has a political power war today that only the Americans can settle. It may be another Civil War and if you would like ro send me your comments, questions suggestions regarding America today, just comment on this posting or request my E address.   C Brewer

I did and you may missed this in the rush of news, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper, an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American; any American.

Australian Dentist Response

So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is. So they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)

‘An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan.

An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navajo, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans.

An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses.

An American is also free to believe in no religion…… For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world.

The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes the God-given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness.

An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking anything in return………

When Afghanistan was overrun by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country!

As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan. The national symbol of America, The Statue of Liberty , welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These, in fact, are the people who built America.

Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001 earning a better life for their families. It’s been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.

So you can try to kill an American if you must.. Hitler did. So did General Tojo , and Stalin , and Mao Tse-Tung, and other bloodthirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

Please keep this going! Pass this around the World  .Then pass it around again. It says it all, for all of us. Please do not just delete. Pass it on first!

Thanks!

A GREAT AMERICAN PATRIOT – THOMAS JEFFERSON

My old friend Emma C sent me this intriguing history lesson. Most of my friends are well aware I have a goal to learn something every day and this more than fulfilled my goal for today. I believe every one will agree Thomas Jefferson was a brilliant American and the following is well worth reading. It is a shame that even I was unaware of most of the facts about Jefferson’s obvious genius as history was still important when I finished high school in 1947. If all Americans cared we might understand how brilliant our founders were in creating our Republic form of government. The sad part is the Progressive-Liberal power-hungry zealots in both the Democrat and Republican party are currently and systematically destroying everything that millions of America have died for to protect our freedoms. I sincerely hope you will take the time to read this, even those people in foreign countries who subscribe to my blog, as it will help explain the differences we have in both governments, opportunities and freedoms. FACTS

Thomas Jefferson was a very remarkable man who started learning very early in life and never stopped. His likeness is on our two dollar bill.

At 5, began studying under his cousin’s tutor.

At 9, studied Latin, Greek and French.

At 14, studied classical literature and additional languages.

At 16, entered the College of William and Mary. Also could write in Greek with one hand while writing the same in Latin with the other.

At 19, studied Law for 5 years starting under George Wythe.

At 23, started his own law practice.

At 25, was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses.

At 31, wrote the widely circulated “Summary View of the Rights of British America”. He retired from his law practice.

At 32, was a delegate to the Second Continental Congress.

At 33, wrote the Declaration of Independence. He began a three-year project to revise Virginia’s legal code and write a Public Education bill and a statute for Religious Freedom.

At 36, was elected the second Governor of Virginia succeeding Patrick Henry.

At 40, served in Congress for two years.

At 41, was the American minister to France and negotiated commercial treaties with European nations along with Ben Franklin and John Adams.

At 46, served as the first Secretary of State under George Washington.

At 53, served as Vice President and was elected President of the American Philosophical Society.

At 55, drafted the Kentucky Resolutions and became the active head of Republican Party.

At 57, was elected the third president of the United States.

At 60, obtained the Louisiana Purchase doubling the nation’s size.

At 61, was elected to a second term as President.

At 65, retired to Monticello.

At 80, helped President Monroe shape the Monroe Doctrine.

At 81, almost single handed he created the University of Virginia and served as its first president.

At 83, died on the 50th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence along with John Adams.

Thomas Jefferson knew because he himself studied the previous failed attempts at government. He understood actual history, the nature of God, His laws and the nature of man. That happens to be way more than what most understand today. Jefferson really knew his stuff.

A voice from the past to lead us in the future:

John F. Kennedy held a dinner in the White House for a group of the brightest minds in the nation at that time. He made this statement: “This is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one time in the White House with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.”

  Factual Jefferson statements.

“When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe,we shall become as corrupt as Europe.”

“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”

“It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.”

“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”

“My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.”

“No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.”

“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny

in government.”

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” –

“To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”

“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the  issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”

Plea for feedback

I wish this could be read by every American who desires to protect our solvency and Republic form of government! it is hard for me to concede that the majority of Americans today desire to change our government to a Socialists Democracy, especially when we are watching Europe self-destruct again. Our President is on the same path using Executive Orders to remove some freedoms, ignore current laws and slowly destroy our Constitution. Why? I beg every American citizen who reads this to at least agree or disagree by commenting on the blog. It will be informational to collect this data and publish a follow-up message to reveal the results. I get negative feedback and filthy accusations on Facebook and by E mail. My biggest disappointment over these past few years is that seldom does anyone take the time to comment on the actual blog where I can share them with over 525 subscribers and explain or rebut your comments. The messages are free and without feedback it is difficult to know what subjects people who read my articles would prefer. C Brewer

LEADERS – WE USED TO HAVE SOME!

Once upon a time American leaders did not apologize for our country’s actions, here’s a refresher on how some of our former patriots handled negative comments about our great country.

JFK’s Secretary of State, Dean Rusk, was in France in the early 60’s when DeGaulle decided to pull out of NATO.

DeGaulle said he wanted all US military out of France as soon as possible.

Rusk responded, “Does that include those who are buried here?” De Gaulle did not respond.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In England, at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of ’empire building’ by George Bush.
Powell answered by saying, “Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There was a conference in France where a number of international engineers were taking part, including French and American. During a break, one of the French engineers came back into the room saying, “Have you heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done?

He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he intend to do, bomb them?”

A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: “Our carriers have three hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day; they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh water from sea water each day; and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck. We have eleven such ships; how many does France have?”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included Admirals from the U.S., English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies. At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large group of officers that included personnel from most of those countries.
Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks, but a French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages, Americans learn only English. He then asked, “Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?”
Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied, “Maybe it’s because the Brit’s, Canadians, Aussie’s and Americans arranged it so you wouldn’t have to speak German.”
AND THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE.
Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on.
“You have been to France before, monsieur?” the customs officer asked sarcastically.
Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously.
“Then you should know enough to have your passport ready.”
The American said, “The last time I was here, I didn’t have to show it.”
“Impossible. Americans always have to show their passports on arrival in France!”
The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then, he quietly explained, ”Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country,
I couldn’t find a single Frenchman to show a passport to.”
I am proud to be of this land — AMERICA
I am proud to be an American
HAVE A GOOD DAY
Thanks to my great friend Allan Moore for sharing this information. For those of you who have not been to France to suffer their arrogance, it is a pretty country. I was told years ago that the greatest French military invention was a white flag. I am sure that if I have any French readers they will cancel their subscription.
