NEW BILL OF RIGHTS?

My friend, Ron Jenkins, just sent me this message and I hope posting it on my WordPress site it will get some broader exposure. If we the people can just get Congress to stop the pissing contests and help the people and Donald Trump stop the race to Socialize America. You can help by sharing this with everyone you know and hopefully build enough resistance to the Democrats plan to wreck the country and stir up more resistance and damage to people and property with demonstrations.

C Brewer 8-28-17

The following has been attributed to Lewis Napper, a Jackson, Mississippi computer programmer. He didn’t expect his essay — a tart 11-point list of “rights” Americans don’t have — to become an Internet legend.

NEW  PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION

We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great- grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional.  We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a….. Bill of NON-Rights.’

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone — not  just you!  You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of dummies, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm.  If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing [nor a college education].  Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes and freeloaders who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes and freeloaders.

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we’re just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don’t be surprised if the rest of us want to see you get the blue juice.

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, [loot], or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don’t be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won’t have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of  leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job.  All of us sure want  you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

ARTICLE IX:  You do not have the right to happiness.  Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking nation. We don’t care where you came from, English is our language. Learn it!

Lastly

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country’s history or heritage.

This country was  founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, sorry if you are uncomfortable with it.

AUTHOR’S FOOTNOTE:  If  you agree, share this with a friend.  No, you don’t have to, and nothing tragic will befall you if you don’t.  I just think it’s about time common sense is allowed to flourish. Sensible people of the United States must speak out because if you don’t, who will?

I just shared this with some 700 others, will you?  CB

WHO RUINED THE AMERICAN DREAM?

The average American over fifty dreams of those golden years of their life that they worked so hard to enjoy. Unfortunately far too many do not take the responsibility to adequately prepare themselves. What scares me is that more than half of all Americans today depend on someone else to work and pay for them to just survive. Can you imagine the chaos when these people reach retirement and the welfare “well” goes dry? Thanks to Obama, Eric Holder and the Democrats, the Dead, those on welfare and illegals can still vote in most states but they don’t pay taxes.

Why does Congress, our President and the media ignore the basic facts that our country used to be the most creative, successful and free society to “EVER” last over 225 years. We did this because people from all over the world saw an opportunity to be free from ruling power oppression. They came here, or were raised like myself, to work hard, create their own opportunity and enjoy their dreams.

We had leaders who understood that people must have jobs to even be able to ever retire. What happened to change our government’s objective to provide opportunity to continue to enjoy our freedoms to that of just buying those votes and let someone else worry about the chaos later? Will my generation be the last to even dream about having any golden years?

The Golden years should be a time in your life when you should not have to worry about anything. Eliminate the alarm clock, walk in the park, go fishing, play golf, pray if you want to and smile when you wake up each day. Ignore all of life’s distress and the people who create it. Smile all day, surround yourself with friends and family who make you laugh. Love those who treat you well, pray for the ones who are unable to be happy for whatever reason. Life is too short to be sad or worry about anything. If our government would refocus its desire and create jobs everyone could again focus on the American dream.

Think about some important facts. There must be peace within all Americans. Every American and most legal immigrants used to understand that you are exactly where you are meant to be. All people are born to achieve every possibility that your health and mind can perceive. We are all filled with infinite possibilities that are born in yourself and others. Use these gifts to meet every objective you set for yourself. Pass on the love that was given to you. Accept the facts of any physical or mental defects you inherited and just try harder. Be yourself just the way you are.

What can you do to support the critical need to refocus our Congressional priorities, vote for those who pledge to stop the destruction of our Republic form of Government? Vote for those who promise to create jobs instead of entrenched Democrats who just promise more welfare to keep the poor people poor. Poor people and illegal aliens can’t create jobs.

Ladies, you are primarily responsible for the leaderless government we suffer with today, so I have two questions.

1. Is having free contraceptives for men and women, old and young, your prime reason to vote for Democrats?

2. Is having free contraceptives for your teen age daughters your prime reason to vote for Democrats?

Ladies, birth control is a parent’s responsibility, not the governments. Roe vs Wade is the law of the land and no one is powerful enough to reverse it now or ever. We need jobs instead of more illegals who do the work we pay lazy ass Americans on welfare to avoid that work. This is just “common sense” not rocket science.

Vote on November 4th to restore the American Dreams.

TRUE LOVE!

A story my friend Allan Moore shared that will get older people like me to appreciate. It should get the attention of everyone. I hope you share this with your friends, I just did. CB

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80’s arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor’s appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.

The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health.

He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer’s disease.

As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late.

He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.

I was surprised, and asked him, you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?’

He smiled as he patted my hand and said, she doesn’t know me, but I still know who she is.

I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought,

That is the kind of love I want in my life. True love is neither physical, nor romantic.

True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

I wish I knew who wrote this to give them credit they so richly deserve.

Sometimes there is a message like this one that my old friend Allan Moore sent me that has an important message.

The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.

‘Life isn’t about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.’ We are all getting Older and Tomorrow may be our turn.

SENIOR CITIZENS

DON’T BLAME US

Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We take full responsibility for all we have done and we never try to blame others.

However, upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was not senior citizens who took:

The “melody” out of music,

The “pride” out of appearance,

The “courtesy” out of driving,

The “romance” out of love,

The “commitment” out of marriage,

The “responsibility” out of parenthood,

The “togetherness” out of the family,

The “learning” out of education

The “service” out of patriotism,

The “Golden Rule” from rulers,

The “nativity scene” out of cities,

The “civility” out of behavior,

The “refinement” out of language,

The “dedication” out of employment,

The “prudence” out of spending,

The “ambition” out of achievement or God out of government and school.

We certainly are not the ones who eliminated “patience” and “tolerance” from personal relationships and interactions with others!

And, we do understand the meaning of patriotism, and remember those who have fought and died for our country.

Just look at the “Senior’s” with tears in their eyes and pride in their hearts, as they stand at attention with their hand over their hearts, as the American Flag passes by in a parade!

YES, I’M A SENIOR CITIZEN!

I’m the life of the party…..Even if it lasts until 8 p.m.

I’m very good at opening childproof caps…..With a hammer.

I’m awake many hours before my body allows me to get up.

I’m smiling all the time, because I can’t hear a thing you’re saying.

I’m sure everything I can’t find is in a safe secure place, somewhere.

I’m wrinkled, saggy, lumpy, and that’s just my left leg.

I’m beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.

Yes, I’m a SENIOR CITIZEN and I think I am having the time of my life!

Share the cheer

Let’s be happy

While we’re here.”

MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA AND MAY AMERICA CONTINUE TO THANK GOD!!

ANNIVERSARY

Fifty three years ago this day I married Norma Maxey, my partner in life and the greatest mother of our four wonderful children and Grammy to our seven grandchildren. This warm and wonderful lady has made me the happiest man on earth with her 100% support and love.

I hope that everyone who reads this message will enjoy the happiness I have enjoyed for all of these years. I am a fortunate man!

WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ROSES!

READ THIS SLOWLY…DON’T KNOW WHO WROTE IT, BUT GUESSING IT WAS A SENIOR!!!

I FIRST STARTED READING THIS AND WAS READING FAST UNTIL I REACHED THE THIRD SENTENCE. I STOPPED AND STARTED OVER READING SLOWER AND THINKING ABOUT EVERY WORD. THIS MESSAGE IS VERY THOUGHT PROVOKING. MAKES YOU STOP AND THINK. READ SLOWLY!

AND THEN IT IS WINTER

You know, time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years. It seems just yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on my new life with my mate. Yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all. I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams.

But, here it is… the winter of my life and it catches me by surprise…How did I get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my youth go? I remember well seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that winter was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like.

But, here it is…my friends are retired and getting grey…they move slower and I see an older person now. Some are in better and some worse shape than me…but, I see the great change…Not like the ones that I remember who were young and vibrant…but, like me, their age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we’d be. Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day! And taking a nap is not a treat anymore… it’s mandatory! Cause if I don’t on my own free will, I just fall asleep where I sit!

And so…now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things that I wish I had done but never did!!  But, at least I know, that though the winter has come, and I’m not sure how long it will last…this I know, that when it’s over on this earth…it’s over. A new adventure will begin!

Yes, I have regrets. There are things I wish I hadn’t done…things I should have done, but indeed, there are many things I’m happy to have done. It’s all in a lifetime.

So, if you’re not in your winter yet…let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it quickly! Don’t put things off too long!! Life goes by quickly. So, do what you can today, as you can never be sure whether this is your winter or not! You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life…so, live for today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember…and hope that they appreciate and love you for all the things that you have done for them in all the years past!!

“Life” is a gift to you. The way you live your life is your gift to those who come after. Make it a fantastic one.

LIVE IT WELL!

ENJOY TODAY!

DO SOMETHING FUN!

BE HAPPY!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Thanks Wally

VOTE-VOTE-VOTE

PLEASE EXERCISE ONE OF THE FREEDOMS WE STILL ENJOY.

Tuesday November 6th can be one of the most important days of your life. America has stood tall for providing us with freedoms that are not shared anywhere else in the entire world. We have suffered the loss of millions of young people in the military who died or were wounded protecting our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Do not let a selfish minority who had rather live in a Socialist society destroy our freedoms. Just in my 82 years we have watched these misguided progressives reduce our right to pray publically, remove God from sight in our schools and pledge our allegiance to the flag so many have died to protect.

Look at some other facts;

They have divided our people;

Introduced the ability for politicians to function with immunity from our laws;

Made our justice system function on political preference rather than follow our Constitution;

Regulate the environment and force us to buy foreign products inferior to one made here;

Dummed down education to ensure that unions control the failing system;

Forced the need for both fathers and mothers to work to earn a decent standard of living;

Allowed our monetary system to control our destiny rather than ourselves.

I could go on and on with specific instances and if you understand what we have lost by now you will know how to vote. If you still feel that we need to race towards Socialism, you are a disgrace and should move to Europe and be happy watching and enjoy their suffering.

I am proud to be an American, I served honorably in the US Navy, I want my children and grandchildren to have the freedoms I have enjoyed.

Can Mitt Romney correct all of these problems immediately, no and no one else can. Washington needs a complete change of personnel in Congress and even the Supreme Court to stop the current race to destroy our freedoms. What he can do is change the course of this destruction while the freedom loving people can clean house. Along the way we freedom loving folks can make donations to book passage for the progressives, so they can try to change some other country’s politics and find their twisted happiness somewhere else.

“GOD SAVE AMERICA”

LEARN TO SMELL THE ROSES

For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible.

One day I had lunch with some friends. Jim, a short, balding golfer type about 80 years old, came along with them—all in all, a pleasant bunch.

When the menus were presented, we ordered salads, sandwiches, and soups, except for Jim who said, “Ice Cream, please. Two scoops, chocolate. I wasn’t sure my ears heard right, and the others were aghast. “Along with heated apple pie,” Jim added, completely unabashed.

We tried to act quite nonchalant, as if people did this all the time… But when our orders were brought out, I didn’t enjoy mine.

I couldn’t take my eyes off Jim as his pie a-la-mode went down. The other guys couldn’t believe it. They ate their lunches silently and grinned. The next time I went out to eat, I called and invited Jim. I lunched on white meat tuna. He ordered a parfait, I smiled. He asked if he amused me and I answered, “Yes, you do, but also you confuse me.

How come you order rich desserts, while I feel I must be sensible? He laughed and said “I taste all that is Possible.

I try to eat the food I need, and do the things I should. But life’s so short, my friend, I hate missing out on something good.

This year I realized how old I was. (He grinned) I haven’t been this old before. “So, before I die, I’ve got to try those things that for years I had ignored.

I haven’t smelled all the flowers yet. There are too many trout streams I haven’t fished. There are more fudge sundaes to wolf down and kites to be flown overhead.

There are too many golf courses I haven’t played. I’ve not laughed at all the jokes. I’ve missed a lot of sporting events and potato chips and cokes.

I want to wade again in water and feel ocean spray on my face. I want to sit in a country church once more and thank God for His grace.

I want peanut butter every day spread on my morning toast. I want un-timed long distance calls to the folks I love the most.

I haven’t cried at all the movies yet, or walked in the morning rain. I need to feel wind on my face. I want to be in love again.

So, if I choose to have dessert, instead of having dinner, then should I die before night fall, I’d say I died a winner, because I missed out on nothing. I filled my heart’s desire. I had that final chocolate mousse before my life expired.”

With that, I called the waitress over. “I’ve changed my mind, “I said.”I want what he is having; only add some more whipped cream!”

SHARE THIS WITH YOUR FRIENDS including me if I’m lucky enough to be counted among them.

Be mindful that happiness isn’t based on possessions, power, or prestige, but on relationships with people we like and respect. Remember that while money talks, CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM SINGS!

ANON

My dear friend Vickey sent me this message and it certainly made my day. I know my children, grand children and close friends wonder why I play so much golf, plan to do something every single day and write this blog. Like the man in this story I have never been 81 before and I am not through enjoying what life I have left.

I have had a blessed life, seen more of this world and America than most people will ever enjoy. Now when I see something new, learn something new, share my knowledge or make someone else happy every day, I am a richer man.  C Brewer
