THE NEWS MEDIA, AN AMERICAN TRAGEDY!

The rain usurped my usual tee time at 7 am this morning so I chose to watch the news again and what a waste of time. Now even Fox News is beginning to join the war against President Trump. How anyone can suffer with watching ABC, NBC or CBS and their all news network stations deserves a Purple Heart Medal for being wounded in action. Every national television network is no longer a news source. Now it presents individual “Actors” posing as commentators that are as dishonest as Al Capone. Twisted facts, personal opinions, bias, and performances worthy of an Academy Award for acting is not “reporting the news”!

Between 6 am and noon I watched every move Jared Kushner made as he was leaving a car at the Capital. He then proceed and I was able to watch every step he took along corridors to be interviewed by some Senate group of puppet lawyers. Watching this once was probably news reporting but after 16 times, five in just one hour, I found reruns of NCIS far more interesting than commentary by ten different retired politicians, bureaucrats and an array of Fox reporters. This coupled with other snippets about Russian influence in the last election were far too much.

Why can’t the media take at least part of one day a week for the next several months to report factual in-depth pictures of the infrastructure which is crumbling. A report from each State would be something us common folks would connect with. Pictures of bridges that are crumbling is news we all need. Which State is better or worse and why?

A detailed factual report on how many people are on welfare and do not have to work in each State would be news. Showing how people in the 1930”s, when I was a boy, that actually worked to build infrastructure instead of sitting on their butts while others feed them would be news. Progress to fix problems or continue to ignore them is called news.

Another interesting news report on how long it takes a military veteran to get, in some cases, inadequate treatment. We could watch first hand the actual differences of treatment available in each State. That my friends is news the people need to make decisions on who to vote for in future Congressional elections.

Do a series of reports on healthcare in each State to commend the positive and focus attention on the negative facts. Report why Insurance costs are not the same in each state and why. Focus in on why insurance companies cannot cross State lines to sell the same policies and who is controlling the decisions of difference. Wow, this might actually help get the politicians who will not act to stop this senseless regulation be voted out of office.

Actually send reporters to each State to report on how many illegal aliens actually create costs to feed, educate, treat medically and house them. Report on why they are allowed to have jobs while able Americans sit on their butt and draw welfare. The differences in each State would be facts us folks could use to elect politicians who guarantee they will even the Federal playing field. If Louisiana voters have to pay twice as much to handle illegals as New Hampshire for example may force Congress to do something except chase Russians. They might actually help make America Great Again, and spend more time at work than on vacation?

It is time for Americans to rise up again like we did when we elected Trump. We need to help him make Congress work instead of debate. We need to vote to throw out every politician, Republican and Democrat, that rather get face time on a news program than represent the people.

I am hoping that the weather tomorrow will let me tee off at 7 am. I just heard that Kushner will testify tomorrow with another herd of government lawyers for a House of Representative committee. I know this sounds simple but why can’t two Houses of Congress harass Mr. Kushner at the same time? Folks “common sense” is not possible in the Washington Swamp. Do you agree or disagree?

WHO WILL CONTROL AMERICAS FUTURE?

One could go crazy reading and watching the media try to sway the election next month. If I had not watched the media get Obama re-elected in 2012, I would have bet my life on the Republicans winning control of the Senate next month. Watching Americans get brainwashed by the most corrupt media that has ever existed in my 84 years is the saddest event in my lifetime.

I am truly an Independent voter, I just proved that last Monday when I early voted and actually voted for two individuals, one Democrat and one Libertarian. I did not vote for all of the Republicans, I voted against Republicans, Democrats, Libertarian and Green Party individuals who could not find their way out of a paper sack if one end remained open. Sad but our politicians have become so corrupt, unethical, unqualified that in some cases you just have to vote for the best of the worst as no real leader chose to run for some positions.

This year the Republicans, in spite of self-destructing over abortion in some places, are on record to stop the destruction of our Constitutional Republic form of government. The Democrat-Liberal-Progressive power has nearly destroyed our freedoms and they will if left in power. The George Bush Republican-Progressives are powerless at this point in time to control the Republican Party.

Reading the various polls tells me that the Democrats will keep control of the Senate seats in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon and Virginia. It is hard for me as a Texan who has spent a lot of time in New Mexico to understand how the people can keep a Democrat in the Senate. They used to love the freedoms they have now lost and appear to be comfortable with letting Harry Reid control the future. The rest of these States are and have been controlled by morons like Al Franken for so long they have no capacity to even think for themselves anymore.

Looking at the polls they place the following Senate seats in the toss-up category. Alaska/Begich (D), Colorado/Udall (D), Kansas/Roberts (R), Kentucky/McConnell (R), Louisiana/Landrieu (D), New Hampshire/Shaheen and North Carolina/Hagan (D). The polls also show the Senate seats in Iowa and Georgia to be a toss-up. Colorado and Oregon are  no surprise as they are already controlled by potheads. North Carolina like Virginia are no longer conservative.

Again I am really surprised that the voters in Alaska, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, and especially Louisiana appear to be even considering a vote for anyone but the Republican nominee. I live on the Texas/Louisiana border, spend as much time and money in Louisiana as I do in Texas. I have yet to find one Louisiana voter who will admit they voted for Obama but for some reason they keep Mary Landrieu in power to help Harry Reid to cram the courts with Liberal/Progressive Judges like Sotomayor, Ginsburg and Kegan. Like New Mexico I suppose that loss of freedoms in these states is unimportant to the voters anymore?

The polls show that Arkansas/Mark Pryor (D) and South Dakota are leaning toward the Republican candidate and that Mississippi/Cochran and West Virginia will be Republican seats in the next Congress. If Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana or Mississippi elect or re-elect a Democrat to help Harry Reid stay in control of power in the Senate, Socialism will be in place for the next 100 years. I hope someone else cares?

WELFARE ON STEROIDS?

Our brilliant President and his blind mice Democrats in Congress are pushing to get more people into welfare before the 2014 elections. They are pushing for another raise the minimum wage to eliminate poverty.  Every time they do this we end up with more people on welfare as it pays better. Obama has again used an Executive Order to add more costs to all government contracts and none of this nonsense will add one job for an unemployed worker. Going back to work would be a pay cut. When you absorb the following facts even a babbling idiot can see that welfare is a far better way of life than working until they get the minimum wage up to at least $30 an hour.

The Cato Institute released a study showing that welfare benefits pay more than a minimum wage job in 33 states and the District of Columbia.

Even worse, welfare pays more than $15 per hour in 13 states. What is needed is for States to offer free one way tickets for anyone on welfare to move to Hawaii or one of the other top 13 states on the following list.

According to the study, welfare benefits have increased faster than minimum wage. It’s now more profitable to sit at home than it is to earn an honest day’s pay.

Hawaii is the Number one place for the unemployed to relocate, Welfare recipients there earn $29.13 per hour, or a $60,590 yearly salary, for sitting on their butts. If all of the people who earn mimimum wage in states other than the top 13 on the list below would move to one of them, it might wake up the people who pay for welfare.

Here is the list of the states where the pre-tax equivalent “salary” that welfare recipients receive is higher than having a job:

1. Hawaii: $60,590

2. District of Columbia: $50,820

3. Massachusetts: $50,540

4. Connecticut: $44,370

5. New York: $43,700

6. New Jersey: $43,450

7. Rhode Island: $43,330

8. Vermont: $42,350

9. New Hampshire: $39,750

10. Maryland: $38,160

11. California: $37,160

12. Oregon: $34,300

13. Wyoming: $32,620

14. Nevada: $29,820

15. Minnesota: $29,350

16. Delaware: $29,220

17. Washington: $28,840

18. North Dakota: $28,830

19. Pennsylvania: $28,670

20. New Mexico: $27,900

21. Montana: $26,930

22. South Dakota: $26,610

23. Kansas: $26,490

24. Michigan: $26,430

25. Alaska: $26,400

26. Ohio: $26,200

27. North Carolina: $25,760

28. West Virginia: $24,900

29. Alabama: $23,310

30. Indiana: $22,900

31. Missouri: $22,800

32. Oklahoma: $22,480

33. Louisiana: $22,250

34. South Carolina: $21,910

Can you imagine how many roads and bridges could be improved with this wasted labor we pay to sit on their butts?

They could pick up trash on our highways.

Some could help remove snow.

All could lick envelopes, empty wastebasket’s, sweep floors, and greet people with a smile for a local, state or federal government office.

Maybe NSA could let them monitor calls.

How many Americans know that roads were paved, National and State Parks were built, TVA dams erected etc. in the 1930’s by the same American families that today are paid not to work?

Welfare is now viewed by our President as a Constitutional right.

Do you think we should reform welfare? I do.

FREEDOM FROM GOVERNMENT!

Until I read the following story I had given up on trying to share conservative views with anyone under 30, especially females. After watching our Progressive President get re-elected, I never expected to see a chance to even vote for a conservative again. Our schools have brainwashed our children and the abortion issue has divided what conservatives that remain into defeating each other. The young 14-year-old girl that wrote the letter and testified before the Legislature has renewed my faith in slowing down the Socialist movement. We sit and watch our President purposely divide our nation to force the loss of the freedoms we have fought many wars to protect. He has nearly destroyed the United States and most Americans do not care if they get something free or live off the hard work of others.  God bless Daphne and I pray for our young people to wake up and understand what they will be paying for when they reach 82.

DAPHNE’S STORY

My 14-year-old daughter, Daphne, and I went to a gun rally at the NH Capitol in Concord on Saturday, Jan 19, 2013. I don’t even own a gun, but I’m a strong believer in the Constitution and the wisdom of our Founders especially when it comes to government taking away our freedoms, and I don’t like the direction Obama is taking the country on that issue. You know, America, land of the free, and all the core strengths that made America great.

I made up a bunch of signs and Daphne prepared a letter before the rally, thinking she might hand it out to anyone who was interested. While attending the rally, Daphne noticed that the speaker had stopped talking and that he was handing the bullhorn to anyone who wanted to speak. She pointed that out to me, and soon she went over to the Capitol steps, got in line, and waited for her turn. After fighting her way to the front of the line, she stood there, on the steps of the NH State Capitol, and read a shorter version of the letter below.

She brought the house down.

After the cheers had died down, dozens of people shook her hand and congratulated her. A couple of reporters interviewed her briefly and other photographers took her picture. Just before she left, a representative from the New Hampshire Assembly talked to her and asked if she could come and speak at a hearing on gun control on Tuesday, Jan 22, 2013. Daphne said, Sure.

On Tuesday, we picked her up from school at 12:00 noon and drove to Concord. We found our way to the Legislative Assembly Hall, Room 204. The room was packed and there was a line down the hall and around two corners. Soon, they moved the meeting to another room. The second room also proved too small. Finally, they sent us across the street, up to the large chamber in the Capitol Building.

The room was near capacity. About ninety-five percent of the people were pro 2nd Amendment rights. The Representatives and PACs got to speak first, then the common folk. Daphne was in the first 10 folks to speak who were not representing a group. She was poised, though a little nervous, and spoke clearly to the crowd. When she was done, she brought a copy of her speech to the front of the chamber where the representatives were sitting, and they fought over who would get to take it from her. The moderator had previously silenced the hall from cheering or clapping, but people told her they would have cheered if they could as they shook her hand on the way out. The whole proceeding took more than 3 hours.

TRANSCRIPT:

Delivered to the New Hampshire Legislative Assembly

January 22, 2013

Dear citizens of New Hampshire,

Four days ago, I was across the street for a gun rally on the steps of the Capitol. I had never been to a gun rally before. I expected it to be all about hunters and guns. I was surprised: People were not afraid of not being able to hunt. They were not afraid of criminals at all. Do you know who they were afraid of? The Federal Government. I was shocked. They were afraid of the government taking away their freedoms.

The reason I went to the rally in the first place was that I heard children, like me, talking with President Obama about guns on the radio. I think those kids were far too young to make policy, and got it all wrong.

Naturally, I don’t want my mom or dad to die either, nor my friends or family. But I learned in school that the First Amendment gives us our Basic Freedoms, like Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion and Freedom to Assemble. To protect our God-given rights, our Founders gave us the 2nd Amendment: The Right to Bear Arms.

My Civics teacher taught us that the reason our Founding Fathers gave us the right to bear arms is to protect ourselves from the government of man because when man is given absolute power, he becomes absolutely corrupt. In 1776, guns freed us from the abuses of King George. Today, guns keep us free from tyranny by government.

If President Obama wants to take our guns, isn’t he taking away our means to protect our right to freedom? Wasn’t the 2nd Amendment given to us to protect our 1st Amendment rights? It’s not by chance that those are the first two amendments. They were the two most important gifts our Founders gave the American people.

I don’t know. I’m just a 14-year-old girl, and that’s what I thought I learned in school. Did Mr. Obama learn something different in school than that?

I think it is terrible for someone to use a national tragedy for political gain, don’t you? So, when I heard Mr. Obama issued 23 gun control orders in the wake of the Newtown tragedy, I was upset. In school I was taught executive means to execute laws — not make them. When did that change? Didn’t the president swear an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution? Doesn’t the 2nd Amendment state: “the right for people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” ˇ Tell me how 23 orders on gun control is not an infringement. Can someone please tell me that? Has King George returned?

I hope New Hampshire members of congress remember their pledge and do not use this tragedy to create unjust laws.

So I ask myself, what gun would our Founders want their citizen militia to have today to protect us from a government greedy for power. I think Thomas Jefferson would recommend a semi-automatic rifle with 50-round clips, and pistols that hold 20. But, I’m sure George Washington would demand these arms.

Just so you know, I don’t even own a gun, nor does my mom, or dad. But when I’m old enough, I want the right to buy a gun if I want to, so I can protect the America that I love. I hope I never need one, but I always say, “plan for the worst and hope for the best”. Unfortunately, that’s sort of why the government is taking away our guns: they are planning for the worst Americans, and not thinking of the best. Maybe the question we should be asking is what caused the morality of the United States to decay? Are parents no longer teaching their kids “thou shalt not kill?”

I want to live in an America with laws that protect the best people on Earth, not the worst, don’t you? Wouldn’t that be more-free? Wouldn’t that be more American? Isn’t freedom what America is all about? The right to bear arms is our best guarantee to live free.

Finally, at my track meet at UNH on Sunday, I read the banner on the wall. It said three words: Tradition. Pride. Excellence. I hope and pray that New Hampshire will continue its tradition of excellence and lead the way for the rest of the county, and never infringe on my rights. May the people of the great state of New Hampshire carry on their long tradition of freedom, so we can proclaim with pride the words our forefathers gave us: Live Free or Die!

This is our United States. This is our New Hampshire. And that should never change.

Live Free or Die, New Hampshire!

Thank you,

Daphne Jordan
