POLITICIAN VS BUSINESSMAN?

WE ARE WATCHING THE REBIRTH OF A NATION!

As you will see at the end of this brilliant article I have no idea who wrote this. Having been in the business world with two large Corporations, Lockheed-Martin and Halliburton I have even played one of the roles described in this article many times. Actually I never worked a day for Lockheed-Martin but they bought the company I worked for for 27 years named LTV. I started out with an aerospace related company named Temco when I finished my enlistment in the US Navy. A few years later an arbiter named James Ling, a small electrical contractor, became one of the first Americans to learn how to get control of a much larger company by being smart. Now we had Ling-Temco. A couple of years later Jim Ling gained control of a much larger company, Chance Vought, and we now had LTV or Ling-Temco-Vought. Every time we merged I was part of a team that went in for the “hatchet” work described later.

The first words you will read in this article that describes exactly what is happening in Washington D.C. states that Donald Trump may be the smartest President we ever had. You can go to the bank and be certain that Donald Trump is not only the smartest President we have ever had, he is the smartest businessman we have ever had. He is playing the fiddle while Congress and the dumbest media clowns ever allowed on the airwaves make total fools of themselves.

The winner of this largest conflict of power in my lifetime will be the American people. If the people don’t panic and just sit back and watch him make fools of every politician, news moron and the broken Justice system the people will regain control of the government. Jobs will be plentiful, profits will boom for business and taxes will be less for everyone. He can get term limits for the worst of our government, Congress itself, and that will tear down the barriers to have “Public Servants” rather than a place for Lawyers to live off of the public teat with benefits beyond reason. The career politicians have built the biggest waste of money and crooked ways to bleed the people ever created. The drained swamp will uncover so much greed and illegal activity we will have to build bigger prisons. My thanks to my often guest writer, Ron Jenkins for sharing this with me.

Hold onto your hat as you will soon be treated to read about what is really happening in the White House. The only way this can be stopped is if Trump is assassinated just like several others have been recently. I am convinced they got Justice Scalia and money assured the silence.

C Brewer September 7th 2017

Donald Trump may be the smartest President we have had for quite some time.

Apparently, liberals and never-Trumpers are so isolated in their political circles that they have no concept how things work in the real world of business and corporate America.

For example, they completely fail to grasp the concept of the “hatchet man.

Allow me to explain:

Say you are a business tycoon. You just successfully completed a large-scale acquisition and merger, bringing together multiple smaller companies into one conglomerate.

After the merger, you want to put your own people in charge of everything. However, all those smaller companies had their own executives – and, at least for the short term- you need to keep many of them around to keep things running.

So, you keep many of those executives around, and let them retain their own senior staff.

You even appoint one of them – the head of the largest of the companies you acquired – to be the CEO of the conglomerate, and he pledges to get all the departments working together harmoniously.

After a transition period, some of them are doing fine in the new conglomerate – but others are clearly causing trouble. In fact, the one you appointed CEO is clearly a disaster.

The newly merged departments are working against each other. Furthermore, you have good suspicion he is dealing in insider trading – nothing you can take to a prosecutor, but there is a lot of circumstantial evidence building up.

Worse, he is not only doing his own dirty dealing, but it appears he may even be leaking intellectual property to your competitors, helping them take market share from you.Clearly, he has to go – and go now.  Problem is, many of the senior employees in your conglomerate are loyal to him. If you just fire him and put in your own chosen CEO, you know you could get a lot of backlash from disgruntled employees.

And in your business, there is such a small profit-margin that you really can’t afford anything at all that threatens performance. So what do you do?

In comes the hatchet man.

The hatchet man is someone you bring in for the sole purpose of slashing the problems and shaking things up over a very short period of time – but doing it in a way that deflects any blame or blow back away from you.

As soon as the problems are hacked away, the hatchet man leaves – taking the ire and resentment with him, and leaving you free to bring in your new team for a fresh start.

This happens in the business world all the time. And Donald Trump is a businessman. He knows this. He has lived this. We’ve seen him do it on “The Apprentice.” We’ve read about it in his books.

This is not a surprise to anyone. Except for liberals and never-Trumpers.

Enter Scaramucci.

Liberals and never-Trumpers see the past weeks as proof of a Hitler-clown-circus spectacle, as evidence that Trump is unhinged and our government is in the hands of madmen.  Anyone who understands the business world and Donald Trump fully understands that what we just witnessed was a perfectly executed hatchet man maneuver.

When Trump won the election, he essentially performed the political equivalent of an acquisition and merger.

He brought together different political factions – establishment Republicans, conservatives, tea party, religious right, moderates, independents, cross-overs, into one winning political coup.

For some, it was a hostile takeover – and if they were going to be dragged in against their will, they would sure as hell resist. This is where Reince Priebus came in.

Priebus, as the then-chairman of the Republican National Committee, was hired as White House Chief of Staff to be a sort of post-merger CEO.  It was his job to bring all these political factions together and get them to work harmoniously. But he failed.

Worse, there is ample evidence to suggest he not only failed, but worked against Trump and the Trump agenda. Look at the leaks. Look at all the chaos. Look at all the bureaucracy continuing to work at odds with the president.

Priebus and a number of other people around him – had to go.

Back to Scaramucci.

Donald Trump has known for some time that Priebus was a disaster. He was going to give him his six-month trial period – that’s a fairly common thing in the private sector.  After that, heads were going to roll. But Trump himself doesn’t want to be the hatchet man. He needs to be able to lead after the bloodbath. So what does he do?  He turns to an old friend he has known for many years – someone with nothing to lose, someone who can step in with a hatchet and hack away, someone who can then just walk away from it all and leave the slate clean. He turned to Scaramucci.

So what does Scaramucci do? He comes in swinging. He fires a few people to make a quick example. He tells others they can “resign” right now if they want to – but if not, they will be fired. Others see what is going on and just up and quit of their own accord.

That problem CEO, Priebus? Oh, the new “structure” of the organization puts Scaramucci in direct competition with Priebus and Priebus throws up his hands and says “fine, I’m out of here.”  And Scaramucci does it all in a way that is spectacularly visible to draw all the fire from Trump critics.

So how does it all end? It ends with Trump putting in his new CEO – the one he probably wanted from day one, but held back – and the new CEO says “OK, Scaramucci – you are no longer needed here.”

Gen. Kelly now has a clean slate to start fresh – and Scaramucci takes all the heat.  Where the left and never-Trumpers see a circus freak-show, realists from the business world see a perfectly executed post-merger hatchet-man job.

The political wonks see Kelly taking command as the first sane thing to happen in this administration. They don’t realize they’ve been played, and played perfectly.  And soon we will likely see some other changes that move the Executive Branch further towards what Trump has wanted from day one. And then watch the real swamp-drainer get to work. It sucks to be Hillary Clinton right now..

Oh, and Scaramucci?

He gets a sweet deal out of all this – no doubt, he and his friend Donald Trump talked it all out first.  Scaramucci was already facing a nasty divorce that would result in the liquidation of his business to divide assets.

A little-known law allows people who are legally required to sell a business as a condition of employment in the Executive Branch (to prevent conflicts of interest) to defer the taxes on their profits from the sale.  Scaramucci was going to have to sell his company anyway due to his pending divorce. Now he and his soon-to-be ex-wife just saved $80 million in taxes.

So don’t think for a moment all this was an unplanned mess that went awry. Scaramucci and Trump knew exactly what they were doing.  All of this was planned – and foreseen. Not just by me, but by others as well.

Scott Adams wrote before Trump was inaugurated that, to his critics, the first year of Trump would be a play in three acts:

Act One – Trump is literally Hitler.

Act Two – Trump is not literally Hitler, but Trump is incompetent.

Act Three – Trump is not incompetent, but we don’t like his policies.

We’ve seen this play out. From election night up through the first 100 days, the left was out rioting and acting as though Trump taking office was literally the end of Western Civilization.

But after 100 days, when Trump had failed to do evil-dictator things like round up all the brown people and put the gays into camps and force women to stay home and have babies, it became farcical to continue the “Trump is Hitler” narrative.  And so from that 100 day point up until now, it has been the “Trump is incompetent” game.

Look at all the chaos. Look at all the leaking. Look at all the tweets. Now, we begin Act Three.

With Priebus out and Kelly in, things will settle down. Pretty soon, all the left will have to say is “we just don’t like Trump’s policies.”…

Act Three.

And once that happens, the left is dead. Because, Trump’s policies are policies that most Americans actually agree with.  We should put America first. Build back our economy.

Create jobs.

Strengthen the military.

Protect the border. Outside a few densely-populated liberal strongholds like New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and – of course – Washington, D.C.,

Americans in general agree with all of this. So when all the left has to say is “Trump’s policies are wrong,” the left will literally be telling most of America, “you people are stupid.”

Trump will win 47 states in 2020. The left will be scratching their heads and wondering what the hell happened.

And you’ll be able to look back and say, “hey, some of us told you all this back in 2017”

I AM TIRED, ARE YOU?

By  Robert A. Hall

I’m 70 Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I’ve worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven’t called in sick in seven or eight years.

I make a good salary, but I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there’s no retirement in sight, and I’m tired. Very tired.

I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I’m tired of being told that Islam is a “Religion of Peace,” when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family “honor”; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren’t “believers;” of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for “adultery;” of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur’an and Shari???a law tells them to.

I’m tired   of being told that, out of “tolerance for other cultures,” we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and Madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America and Canada , while no American nor Canadian group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance..

I’m tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.

I’m tired of being told That drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off?

I’m tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we All know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I’m tired of people with a sense Of entitlement, rich or poor.

I’m real tired of people who don’t take responsibility for their lives and actions. I’m tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I’m damn tired. But I’m also glad to be 70.. Because, mostly, I’m not going to have to see the world these people are making. I’m just sorry for my granddaughters and grandsons.

APHORISMS!

My great friend Bob McGraw in Florida sent me a message with the following words of wisdom. I have no idea who wrote these but I would feel bad if I did not share them with you. This has been a slow day and Obama actually did not appear on the news to make a fool of himself. C Brewer

ALL POLITICIANS = ELECTED WELFARE!

Politics over my 84 years has digressed from watching the United States lead the world into the technological era to watching all political actions today looking like a Three Stooges comedy. We have a President who believes he is the second coming of Mohammad. We have an Attorney General who believes we still have slavery. We have a Secretary of State who is a traitor. We have a departing Senate Majority Leader who is so possessed with power he is a multi-millionaire and never held a real job in his life. We have Democrats that are afraid to call themselves Socialists and the only objectives they have is to get re-elected by the poor people that they covertly manage to keep poor.

Moving to the Republicans, we find another leaderless abyss in a political party that is its own worst enemy. They are on the threshold of increased power in 2015 but they will screw it up and lose the Presidential election again in 2016. The current House of Representatives, with Republican power but leaderless, has let President Obama make them look like the “House of Fools” for two years. They are so afraid of the President they can’t even agree with each other.

The next two years will be the same old routine, Obama will do whatever he desires and Boehner will lick his boots and the new Republican Senate leadership will fold like a deck of cards. The only positive Senate action will be to hopefully stop the appointment of liberal political hack lawyers to the Federal Judgeships and possibly the Supreme Court. I use the word “hopefully” as Obama is a “Master of Political Skull Drudgery’. It would not surprise me to see him overturn the law that limits Presidents to two terms of office and watch the Republicans run and hide in the closet. Losing the power of the Senate will slow down Obama’s real objective of making the United States a Socialists Democracy rather than a Republic. He needs a third term and control of both halves of Congress to complete his mission.

I understand the poor people who have lived off of the government all of their lives and support of the Democrats who designed their welfare trap. Without jobs people get hungry and after being able to survive without working who would want a job. If they want more just take it away from those who want to work. Recent news is a perfect example, just protest, rob, loot and destroy as the government suggested and Obama and Holder will not prosecute.

I also understand that if Obama and the Democrats can’t get immunity for the Hispanics to work and pay taxes they will eventually run out of welfare money. When they have completed their mission to take all of the savings from those who worked for a living another dilemma will occur. The life-long lazy and those faking disabilities will have to go back to work to eat. If that happens they will never vote for a Democrat again. What they have overlooked is more and more Hispanics have been getting educated and now have some leaders who will lead them into power and conservative principles.

Eric Holder believes that African-Americans deserve to live off of Caucasians because they  bought them as slaves over 150 years ago. He and others ignore the fact that other Africans sold them to Americans. Inciting any American to steal, threat or kill another American should get Obama, Holder, Jackson and Sharpton in prison but it will never happen. Good old Al Sharpton owes the IRS millions in back taxes that would get you and me in prison. All it gets him is on MSNBC every day and continued invitations to sit and hate whites with Obama in the White House.

Let me end this chapter of my Conservative Views returning to my headline, “All Politicians = Elected Welfare. Once elected they are guaranteed a pension ten times greater than the average American. The longer they can suck off the Government teat the more they can receive in benefits. They don’t have to deal with Obamacare. They are immune from IRS scrutiny. They work less than half the time we have to work. Vacations and useless trips are made first class, not in the back of the bus or plane. Some have done better like Harry Reid who lives in splendor in a $4,000 a week massive hotel suite.

One major difference is their welfare checks and privileges are far more comfortable than yours or mine. When you vote next time remember who you are enriching with wealth and power. I hope and pray that a real leader stands up soon to steer the United States back on a conservative path and unite instead of dividing Americans.

This old veteran loves this country and my eyes still get wet when I see our flag and hear the Star Spangled Banner. We can improve our lives again if enough of us want to.

Do you want to? I do.           C Brewer

CONSERVATIVE AND LIBERAL PLEDGES!

Mike Rowe of “Dirty Jobs” just published an excellent pledge for Conservative Americans who desire to live the dream of making a contribution to everyone and be a success. One of my daughters, Lisa,  sent this to me knowing I have followed this path for nearly 84 years. If you are a conservative print this off and promise yourself you are committed. If you can’t sign this you must be a Liberal and your pledge follows.

“The S.W.E.A.T. Pledge” (Skill & Work Ethic Aren’t Taboo)

1. I believe that I have won the greatest lottery of all time. I am alive. I walk the Earth. I live in America. Above all things, I am grateful.

2. I believe that I am entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Nothing more. I also understand that “happiness” and the “pursuit of happiness” are not the same thing.

3. I believe there is no such thing as a “bad job.” I believe that all jobs are opportunities and it’s up to me to make the best of them.

4. I do not “follow my passion.” I bring it with me. I believe that any job can be done with passion and enthusiasm.

5. I deplore debt and do all I can to avoid it. I would rather live in a tent and eat beans than borrow money to pay for a lifestyle I can’t afford.

6. I believe that my safety is my responsibility. I understand that being in “compliance” does not necessarily mean I’m out of danger.

7. I believe the best way to distinguish myself at work is to show up early, stay late and cheerfully volunteer for every crappy task there is.

8. I believe the most annoying sounds in the world are whining and complaining. I will never make them. If I am unhappy in my work, I will either find a new job, or find a way to be happy.

9. I believe that my education is my responsibility and absolutely critical to my success. I am resolved to learn as much as I can from whatever source is available to me. I will never stop learning, and understand that library cards are free.

10. I believe that I am a product of my choices – not my circumstances. I will never blame anyone for my shortcomings or the challenges I face. And I will never accept the credit for something I didn’t do.

11. I understand the world is not fair and I’m OK with that. I do not resent the success of others.

12. I believe that all people are created equal. I also believe that all people make choices. Some choose to be lazy. Some choose to sleep in. I choose to work my butt off.

On my honor, I hereby affirm the above statements to be an accurate summation of my personal worldview. I promise to live by them.

To be fair and balanced I felt obligated to create a pledge for all Progressive-Liberals to openly commit themselves to continue their destruction of our Republic.

“The L.O.O.S.E. Pledge (Live Off Of Someone Else)

1. Who needs the lottery when I can live on disability, welfare or unemployment? Just relax in my Lazy Boy and laugh at those who work. I deserve to live off of others.

2. I demand life, liberty and happiness. Let the S.W.E.A.T. idiots pursue this for me too.

3. Any job is bad so why should I work. Jobs are for the Conservatives and union workers who work to keep me happy.

4. Who on earth needs work passion. I do expect the S.W.E.A.T. worker’s to be passionate and perform with enthusiasm to provide for my needs. The unionized workers have perfected the way to steal the assets from the Conservative owners with the government unionized support. I do admire how union workers have shortened their work lives with retirement after 20/30 years. They can’t see what they have provided me without having to work even one year.

5. Why have debt to worry about when the S.W.E.A.T. Conservatives bust their rears so I can enjoy my lifestyle they provide me free.

6. Safety is someone else’s responsibility. That is what we pay the senseless unionized government workers to provide safety for all of us L.O.O.S.E. Liberals. The S.W.E.A.T. people work to pay them. What a deal.

7. Why distinguish myself volunteering to do anything. I can sleep late and enjoy the L.O.O.S.E. lifestyle.

8. Whining and complaining have provided me a lifestyle that is envious by those who work. If I don’t work I don’t have to be unhappy. I will just avoid work and savor my happiness.

9. Education is for those who want to work for a living and some who need help getting on welfare, disability or unemployment. The system is even designed to help people like me who will never have to work. That is called free education.

10. I am the product of the Progressive drive to socialize America that Teddy Roosevelt started over 100 years ago. History has shown me I was fortunate to escape WWI the depression, WWII and the military draft. I do not even have to show up for my free stuff as it is delivered by people who work. Who needs credit for anything anymore?

11. The world may not be fair but the Democratic politicians provide me with everything I need and all I have to do is vote, as many times as possible, to keep them in power. Who cares about the success of others, for me it was free.

12. Only S.W.E.A.T. People and union workers believe that all people are created equal. Some of us are trained from birth to beat the system. I encourage the working people to work harder so they can pay more taxes to improve my life and provide more for the poor illegals. Aliens are recruited to mow yards, dig ditches, scrub floors and pick vegetables until they get smart enough to be L.O.O.S.E. Then all they have to do is vote for Democrats and watch the S.W.E.A.T. Americans and union workers work for a living.

I hereby affirm the above statements to be an accurate summation of my personal worldview. I have no honor and I agree to vote for Democrats even after I die.

I hope everyone enjoys a look at the Un-United States of America today. To those who will have to pay for all of this madness, blame your Liberal parents. I sincerely pray you choose to enjoy a S.W.E.A.T. life, I did.       C Brewer

WHISKEY- A POLITICIANS POSITION!

In 1952, Armon M. Sweat, Jr., a member of the Texas House of Representatives, was asked about his position on whiskey. What follows is his exact answer (taken from the Political Archives of Texas):

“If you mean whiskey, the devil’s brew, the poison scourge, the bloody monster that defiles innocence, dethrones reason, destroys the home, creates misery and poverty, yea, literally takes the bread from the mouths of little children; if you mean that evil drink that topples Christian men and women from the pinnacles of righteous and gracious living into the bottomless pit of degradation, shame, despair, helplessness, and hopelessness, then, my friend, I am opposed to it with every fiber of my being.

However, if by whiskey you mean the lubricant of conversation, the philosophic juice, the elixir of life, the liquid that is consumed when good fellows get together, that puts a song in their hearts and the warm glow of contentment in their eyes; if you mean Christmas cheer, the stimulating sip that puts a little spring in the step of an elderly gentleman on a frosty morning; if you mean that drink that enables man to magnify his joy, and to forget life’s great tragedies and heartbreaks and sorrow; if you mean that drink the sale of which pours into Texas treasuries untold millions of dollars each year, that provides tender care for our little crippled children, our blind, our deaf, our dumb, our pitifully aged and infirm, to build the finest highways, hospitals, universities, and community colleges in this nation, then my friend, I am absolutely, unequivocally in favor of it.

This is my position, and as always, I refuse to compromise on matters of principle.

This is a great example of every politician’s response to any subject, if you give them enough time to expound on their positions. Thanks to Dr. Peter Forrest who sent this to me. Hope you enjoy some facts. CB

TEXAS EDUCATION IS SHAMEFUL!

I tire of reading how our Governor, Rick Perry, our Legislature and George Bush, our immediate past President of the United States, praise our state and how great we educate our children. Statistics don’t lie, just politicians. If it were not bad enough we have recently slashed our spending by significant amounts.

Lack of leadership ignores the loss of a huge source of income that would improve our educational system. Lack of political courage prevents the people of Texas the opportunity to even vote on a common sense solution.

We have a lottery. We have horse and dog racing. We even have one casino the state has tried to shut down owned by the Indians. They did close the Indian casino near Livingston and put the Coushatta tribe back into a worse than poverty existence.

People will gamble and it is a legislative action and/or a voter decision to permit legalized casino gambling in a state. Unless you are blind, legally incompetent or a member of the Texas Legislature you know that you can visit casinos in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Louisiana as most are positioned on or near the Texas border. If you have visited any of these locations and you are not legally blind or a member of the Texas Legislature, 90% of the cars will have Texas license plates.

I will not or have not ever supported any candidate for a state elected position that will not allow the people of Texas to at least vote to allow casino gambling. This is not a moral issue, it is just plain old common sense.

Let me share some facts to support my concern for Texas educational improvement and how our tax losses have likely helped our surrounding states.

Ask.com reports that Texas ranks 50th and in last place on the percentage of people 25 years old that have a high school or a higher diploma. We proudly come in last with 79.9%.

The latest National Education Association (NEA) in 2010 ranked Texas 50th and in last place. The NEA report for 2011 of state spending per pupil has Texas ranked at 41st with $8611. New Mexico came in 35th at $9070 and Louisiana came in 23rd at $10,723.

I could bore you with several pages of similar statistics but I found one that seems to be the most significant measure of educational success I could locate. This is the actual scores of all students in the state who took the SAT exam. I found this information on Yahoo Voices should you desire to verify my source.

The SAT scores are in four categories as follow;

1. Critical Reading, Texas average was 486 and was 46th in ranking by state. The national average score was 610. Oklahoma came in 11th, Louisiana 18th and New Mexico 21st.

2. Math, Texas average was 506 and was 38th in ranking by state. The national average score was 615. Oklahoma came in 13th, Louisiana 17th and New Mexico 21st.

3. Writing, Texas average was 475 and was 47th in ranking by state. The national average score was 588. Oklahoma came in 14th, Louisiana 16th and New Mexico 21st.

4 Total score, Texas average was 1467 and was 45th in ranking by state. The national average score was 1509. Oklahoma came in 12th, Louisiana 18th, New Mexico 21st.

It appears to me that there are several conclusions that are evident based on these statistics;

a. Texas revenue has possibly helped the school systems in the surrounding states.

b. Surrounding states have better educational systems.

c. Surrounding states have better Legislatures.

d. Texas priorities are misguided.

In my opinion Texas leaders are focused on forcing teachers to teach students on how to pass tests that are not used in other states rather than educating them. We have spent hundreds of millions with foreign companies who have developed tests and measure the results and blame the teachers for dismal results.

Our educational system in Texas is broken, leaderless and not focused on letting our teachers educate our children like they did when I went to school. We need to better train and pay our teachers, legalize casino gambling and dedicate every penny to improving our children’s education.

C Brewer

TEXAS POLITICIANS LOVE DONATIONS FROM OUR NEIGHBORS!

TEXAS POLITICIANS LOVE DONATIONS FROM OUR NEIGHBORS!

We have been fighting in Austin for several years over the lack of funds to improve education. The colleges demand more revenue to hire more professors to reward them with tenure. The professors demand that we better educate the children before they are admitted to higher learning. In the past two years we have eliminated the number of teachers by slashing the revenue to the local school districts.

Anyone with a scintilla of common sense can understand that slashing the funds for the local school districts will not possibly improve what the children can learn. Most school districts can’t increase taxes as they controlled by State Laws passed by the Legislature. The colleges admit that the children are ill-prepared for higher education, indicates senseless educational decisions are obvious and factual.

The largest growth in educational spending for pre-college students over the past few years is in state level administration and services. The local school districts must use standardized curriculum, illogical standardized testing developed and administered by a foreign company and use full time state advisors and monitors to ask for help. We have made huge increases in funds to measure the level of knowledge of the students but instead of helping teachers teach, they are blamed for the children not improving.

This is exactly like our federal government who hire more people to regulate every facet of our lives then blame others when problems like Obamacare are screwed up.

Education in Texas is shamefully inadequate and our Governor and Legislature have no conception of how to correct the inequities. They have the same re-election disease we watch 24/7 in the media. So far the majority in power has been afraid to use the usual political solution for lack of funding, raise taxes. They know it will likely cost them the next election. The democrats always want more taxes but in Texas they are re-elected regardless of anything as they win automatically with the help of the Justice Department, minorities with their hand out and the local cemetery for enough names to win. Eric Holder is the only thing they need at this time.

The sad thing is our Texas leaders in power can get enough political donations to stay in power from Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico for denying Texans the right to vote for casino gambling. The real losers in Texas are the children.

We Texans have a lottery, racing, bingo and more illegal gaming at local levels than anyone will admit. It is hard to find a truck stop and in many cases convenience stores in rural areas that do not have semi-hidden slot machines that are called other names. All of this produces taxes.

Americans have gambled all of my life. I am old enough to remember when illegal gambling was openly available in Texas and actually produced tax revenue. I watched as a boy in Corsicana Texas when gambling was stopped and hundreds of slot machines were destroyed by inmates with sledge hammers at the county jail. My best friend’s dad was Sheriff and we helped pick up the pennies, nickels and dimes as the machines were destroyed.

Today casino gambling is legal in the United States and this past weekend I spent two days at a Shreveport casino that pays taxes to the State of Louisiana and the Federal Government. My oldest son met me there and told me that he was going to what will shortly be the largest casino in America next Saturday in Oklahoma. I have been to New Mexico several times to enjoy casino gaming. I live only four miles from the central Louisiana border and I have access to some nine casinos from Shreveport to Lake Charles. Does anyone wonder why 90% of the Louisiana casinos are along the Sabine River near the Texas borders? Same for how near the Oklahoma casinos are near the Red River.

I truly believe that we should respect the will of the majority when things like gambling, drinking and other vices are involved. If the majority of Texans vote to prohibit gambling, drinking and prostitution, the will of the people should be honored. Old age and the gout has eliminated my casual desire for a gin and tonic. I never believed in, had a need for or a desire for a prostitute.

Old age provides me with time and I do enjoy moderate gambling. We help local groups like the Catholic Church, DAV, VFW and American Legion (I’m a member) by playing bingo. Another sad fact is every one of the ones where we play are also in Louisiana.

I recently received a request to donate money for Greg Abbott who is running for Governor of Texas. For educations sake we are finally not faced with four more years of Rick Perry. I have only donated and voted for one Governor in the past several years, Kinky Friedman, who promised to let the people vote for casino Gambling. I advised Mr. Abbott that my donation was contingent on his vow to let the people decide this issue. I have not received or expected to get an answer.

I wish we could allow children to vote as they are penalized from learning at their potential because our politicians are hypocrites and refuse to consider additional funding to assure them a brighter future.

What really scares me is when Congress votes to nationalize all casinos and collect all of the tax money. They can then increase and expand welfare money to the majority of those who we play bingo with and see as the majority at most casinos.

Dumb down most of the children so they can be puppets instead of leaders, seems to be the objective of all politicians at all levels and bi-partisan.

Well, I suppose the politicians have earned our thanks for helping better educate some children. The inequity is that those children live in Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Would you call this “Common Sense”? Sadly, except for teachers and local administrators, no one seems to care.

MEMORIAL DAY MESSAGE.

A POEM WORTH READING

He was bald and paunchy and his hair was falling fast, he sat around the Legion, telling stories of the past.

Of a war that he once fought in and the deeds that he had done, in his exploits with his buddies; they were heroes, every one.

And ‘tho sometimes to his neighbors his tales became a joke, all his buddies listened quietly for they knew where of he spoke.

But we’ll hear his tales no longer, for ol’ Joe has passed away, and the world’s a little poorer for a Soldier died today.

He won’t be mourned by many, just his children and his wife. For he lived an ordinary, very quiet sort of life.

He held a job and raised a family, going quietly on his way; and the world won’t note his passing, ‘Tho a Soldier died today.

When politicians leave this earth, their bodies lie in state, while thousands note their passing, and proclaim that they were great.

Papers tell of their life stories from the time that they were young but the passing of a Soldier goes unnoticed, and unsung.

Is the greatest contribution to the welfare of our land, some jerk who breaks his promise and cons his fellow man?

Or the ordinary fellow who in times of war and strife, goes off to serve his country and offers up his life?

The politician’s stipend and the style in which he lives, are often disproportionate, to the service that he gives.

While the ordinary Soldier, who offered up his all, is paid off with a medal and perhaps a pension, small.

It is not the politicians with their compromise and ploys, who won for us the freedom that our country now enjoys.

Should you find yourself in danger, with your enemies at hand, would you really want some cop-out, with his ever waffling stand?

Or would you want a Soldier, his home, his country, his kin, just a common Soldier, who would fight until the end.

He was just a common Soldier, and his ranks are growing thin, but his presence should remind us we may need his likes again.

For when countries are in conflict, we find the Soldier’s part is to clean up all the troubles that the politicians start.

If we cannot do him honor while he’s here to hear the praise, then at least let’s give him homage at the ending of his days.

Perhaps just a simple headline in the paper that might say: “OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING, A SOLDIER DIED TODAY.”

FACTS ARE STILL FACTS – PART TWO!

When I finished my recent article, “FACTS ARE STILL FACTS”  it motivated me to continue my search for more interesting facts to describe the destruction of the America I remember. Unfortunately the majority of people of America today really have no desire to lead the world in innovation and freedom. Today we survive on leaders from all political parties fighting to divide the people and the nation into hating each other. Someday, long after I am gone, the people will hopefully wake up and demand that America is owned by the people, not the politicians.

Congress and our President have no regard or respect for anything but re-election. They have no tenure rights, yet, but voting themselves lifetime positions, privileges and establishing a Monarchy are in their sights. When they grant voting rights to the 13,000,000 aliens they are working on now, they may have enough votes to establish the Monarchy soon!

WAKE UP AMERICA

I have searched out some facts to present from several sources to show some startling facts, that you hopefully will find disturbing. Whey did our leaders allow these things to happen? The answer is “Re-election”, their only objective and we just watch the destruction. Absorb the following fact list of destruction.

1. The United States has lost approximately 42,400 factories since 2001.  About 75 percent of those factories employed over 500 people when they were still in operation.

2. Dell Inc., one of America s largest manufacturers of computers, closed its last US manufacturing plant in Winston Salem, North Carolina last year and we lost 900 jobs. Dell has expand its operations in China with an investment of over $100 billion over the next decade.

3. In 2008, 1.2 billion cell phones were sold worldwide. How many of them were manufactured inside the United State?  Answer is Zero.

4. According to a new study conducted by the Economic Policy Institute, if the U.S. trade deficit with China continues to increase at its current rate, the U.S. economy will lose over half a million jobs in 2013 alone.

5. The United States has lost a total of about 5.5 million manufacturing jobs since October 2000.

6. The Tax Notes organization reports that between 1999 and 2008 employment at the foreign affiliates of U.S. parent companies increased an astounding 30 percent to 10.1 million. During the exactly same time period, U.S. employment at American multinational corporations declined 8 percent to 21.1 million.

7. Government reports reveal that in 1959, manufacturing represented 28 percent of U.S. economic output. In 2008, it represented 11.5 percent. It is hard to obtain more recent government facts. As we hire more bureaucrats, it takes much longer to get past the added reviews and probable tweaking to distort the truth.

8. Ford Motor Company announced the closure of a factory that produces the Ford Ranger in St. Paul, Minnesota. Approximately 750 good paying middle class jobs are going to be lost because making Ford Rangers in Minnesota does not fit in with Ford’s new “global” manufacturing strategy.

9. As of the end of 2009, less than 12 million Americans worked in manufacturing.  The last time less than 12 million Americans were employed in manufacturing was in 1941.

10. The United States has lost 32 percent of its manufacturing jobs since the year 2000.

11. In 2001, the United States ranked fourth in the world in per capita broadband Internet use. Today it ranks 15th.

12. Manufacturing employment in the U.S. computer industry was actually lower in 2010 than it was in 1975. Unless we become a Monarchy, the 2013 figures will likely be reported by 2020 as Obamacare distortions will slow down the completion process.

13. 84 percent of all printed circuit boards, an American invention that is used in tens of thousands of different products, are now produced in Asia.

14. The United States spends approximately $3.90 on Chinese goods for every $1 that the Chinese spend on goods from the United States. One prominent economist is projecting that the Chinese economy will be three times larger than the US economy by the year 2040.

15. The U.S. Census Bureau says that 43.6 million Americans are now living in poverty and according to them that is the highest number of poor Americans since 1941 that I remember well.

WAKE UP AMERICA

How long can the United States continue to believe it is a great nation?  We have allowed our politicians to amass the largest debt in the history of the world. This clandestine attempt to increase our standard of living to every American is impossible and everyone but the morons that elect our leaders know it can’t be done.

Politicians have de-industrialization the United States and every man, woman and child in the country should be worried.  The majority of Americans do not have the foggiest idea what is crumbling around them. Perhaps enough people will wake up, get involved and demand that we stop this destruction of the greatest country on Earth.

The United States is destined to become the first “post-industrial” nation in history. History proves that every great nation and empire eventually became fat and lazy and squandered the wealth that their forefathers had left them. Sadly the pace at which America is wasting away is absolutely at warp speed. What country was at the forefront of the industrial revolution? It was the United States of America. It was America that showed the world how to mass produce everything from automobiles to televisions to airplanes. The United States has become a nation that consumes everything in sight and yet produces increasingly less.

How many Americans actually know that trash is the number one thing that we export to the rest of the world? We have become complacent and watched our economy self-destruct and keep electing the clowns that get richer.

I remember when America actually out produced the rest of the world combined. Today we consume more than the rest of the world.

Is this the kind of a future you desire to leave to our children? Am I the only one who prays that my children have a better life than I did?

Unfortunately, most Americans have no idea what is going on around them. Please share this article with as many freedom loving Americans as possible.

WAKE UP AMERICA
