EDUCATIONAL FAILURE, POLITICAL APATHY OR BOTH?

I thought I was a wise American as I spend hours reading and writing article to share with family, friends and anyone who may be sick of Washington DC. I understand American History is still mandatory in Texas and it may well be nationwide but if so I question its effectiveness.

I have been a rather strong conservative all of my life and a Democrat until the Democrats began their departure from conservatism after WWII. Having been born in Texas in 1930 has given me an 86-year window to watch America go through some rather sharp changes.

Recently I watched a likely obscure TV program where the host wandered the streets of either New York or Washington DC asking political questions. I am sure everyone has had laughs about both college students and mature adults exhibit a total lack of knowledge when asked a simple question they all should know. We have had programs like this for many years. The program I watched showed pictures of well know political, judicial and important public figures any voting adult should know and the result was shocking.

I correspond with some 250 friends on Facebook and about 600 on my WordPress blog. I am sure there are several who are duplicates. I seldom get much feedback on either site but I read comments on nearly every article I read on my favorite sites.

What prompted me to write this article involves the proven lack of knowledge or political apathy, understand that America has a Republic form of democracy. Questions about why we can’t resolve issues with a simple majority vote astound me. I can understand this question but I can’t believe so many Americans have no conception of why that would destroy our freedoms.

Visualize having a national vote to;

Confiscate all weapons;

Stop producing oil;

Having only one political Party;

Stop cutting down trees;

Disbanding our military;

Eliminating Congress:

Closing all prisons; or

Creating a Monarchy.

Under the majority rules the most populated States could actually do all of the above. They could abolish other States. They could seize your land and property just because they had the power of a majority. Should you wish to gain more knowledge you will find many so called Democratic Republics that do not have the freedoms we have in America. Why, they did not have our Constitution and Bill of Rights as law.

Definition. “A democratic republic is, strictly speaking, a country that is both a republic and a democracy. It is one where ultimate authority and power is derived from the citizens, and the government itself is run through elected officials”.

America has been racing all of my life to change itself into a Socialists Democracy. Thank heaven the Progressive Liberals have been unable to achieve this so far. The Progressive movement started with the land grab by Theodore Roosevelt in the early 1900’s. These people are not impatient and with the current Democratic push under Obama they are close to having the power to abolish the Constitution. Look at the definition of a Socialists Democracy which can contain many variations should you desire more knowledge.

Wikipedia states that a Social Democracy is a political, social and economic ideology that supports economic and social interventions to promote social justice within the framework of a capitalist economy, and a policy regime involving collective bargaining arrangements, a commitment to representative democracy, measures for income redistribution, regulation of the economy in the general interest and welfare state provisions. A Social democracy thus aims to create the conditions for capitalism to lead to greater democratic, egalitarian and solidaristic outcomes; and is often associated with the set of socioeconomic policies that became prominent in Northern and Western Europe—particularly the Nordic model in the Nordic countries—during the latter half of the 20th century.

Denmark is a Socialist Democracy and a Monarchy. I wrote an article several months ago that has been one of the best read articles I ever wrote. I spent a lot of time in Denmark where the people are happy and “everyone” able works and pays up to 50% of their income on Taxes. They have a great healthcare system and again “everyone” pays 8 percent of their salary for healthcare.

Obamacare is a political overkill and only half of the people pay the entire costs while the others get paid for not working. I feel even a Democrat would understand that this is unfair. They just won’t admit it.

I hope this helps freedom loving Americans make sure we never let the Progressive/Liberals change the Constitution.

DEMOCRACY or a REPUBLIC, WHAT’S YOU’RE CHOICE?

I had intended to write three different articles on this subject but it became so intertwined I feel this may be long but it should be educational. It certainly was to me.

Every American who reads this article should be familiar with a “Republic” and its differences with a Democracy. Unfortunately the welfare society is growing to the proportions that they will control the destiny of the ones who actually work for a living and soon. These people probably understand the differences but with the everything free, soak it to the rich and the racially charged atmosphere created by our own President, they don’t really care. I will assure you the current President and his lackeys in Congress, the Supreme Court, main stream media, Progressives and union leaders don’t want them to understand.

Democracy

Rule by Omnipotent Majority. In a Democracy, the Individual, and any group of Individuals composing any Minority, has no protection against the unlimited power of The Majority.

You can have a Direct Democracy, or a Representative Democracy. In the direct type, applicable only to a small number of people as in small American town-meeting, all of the electorate assemble to debate and decide all government questions and all decisions are reached by a majority vote (of at least half-plus-one). Decisions in these town meetings are, of course, subject to the Constitutions of the State and of the United States. The Majority described is not omnipotent and the example is therefore, this is not an example of a true Direct Democracy.

Representative Democracy is where they have a true parliamentary form of government. The people elect representatives to the national legislature and like in England the elective body is the House of Commons–and it functions by a similar vote of at least half-plus-one in making all legislative decisions.

In both examples of a Democracy, The Majority’s power is absolute and unlimited; its decisions are not subject to be over ruled under the legal system established for this form of government. This allows unlimited Tyranny-by-Majority.

Why did America become a republic?

The Framers of the United States Constitution condemned the “excesses of democracy” and abuses under any Democracy of the unalienable rights of The Individual by The Majority. The reasons were based on the royal tyranny which had been exercised through oppressions by royal governors and judges of the new State governments. The legislatures acted as if they were virtually omnipotent. There were no effective State Constitutions to limit the legislatures because most State governments were operating under mere Acts of their respective legislatures which labeled as State “Constitutions.” States operated under old Charters.

It was not until 1780 that the first genuine Republic through constitutionally limited government was adopted by Massachusetts–next New Hampshire in 1784, other States later.

Thomas Jefferson stated, “An elective despotism was not the government we fought for.” He also denounced the despotic concentration of power in the Virginia Legislature under the so-called “Constitution”–in reality a mere Act of that body. Having all the powers of government, legislative, executive, judiciary, controlled by one legislative body is not freedom. Concentrating these in the same hands is precisely the definition of despotic government.

Our forefathers by their protests against the “excesses of democracy” were merely making clear their sound reasons for preferring a Republic as the proper form of government. They well knew, in light of history, that nothing but a Republic can provide the best safeguards–in truth in the long run the only effective form of government to protect the people’s civil liberties which are historically victimized by Democracy’s form and system of unlimited Government-over-Man featuring The Majority Omnipotent.

They also knew that the American people would not consent to any form of government but that of a Republic. Jefferson, who was in Paris as the American Minister for several years, wrote Madison in March 1789 the following: “The tyranny of the legislatures is the most formidable dread at present and will be for long years. That of the executive will come its turn, but it will be at a remote period.”

Earlier, Madison had written Jefferson about violation of the Bill of Rights by State legislatures, stating: “Repeated violations of those parchment barriers have been committed by overbearing majorities in every State. In Virginia I have seen the bill of rights violated in every instance where it has been opposed to a popular current.”

In any Democracy–either a Direct or a Representative type–as a form of government, there can be no legal system which protects The Individual or The Minority against tyranny by The Majority. The undependable sense of self-restraint of the persons making up The Majority at any particular time offers, of course, no protection whatever. Such a form of government is characterized by The Majority Omnipotent and Unlimited.

Democracy, as a form of government, was and still is, utterly unacceptable to that of a Republic. The underlying philosophy, expressed in the Declaration of Independence has the people forming their government so as to permit them to possess only “just powers”. This allows us to keep secure, the God-given, unalienable rights of each and every Individual and therefore of all groups of Individuals.

Unfortunately America has been on a path to change our system of government back to its original Democracy that our ancestors fought and died to make a Republic. I only wish more Americans would open their eyes to what the loss of individual freedom means for their ancestors. The Progressive movement to make this change has been gaining strength for over 112 years. Unfortunately Obama and the democrats in leadership today are pressing for a Socialist Democracy, an Empire, a Monarchy or a combination of all, who really knows? I hope you read my recent article on Denmark that describes a combination of a Monarchy and Socialist Democracy combined. I am happy with our “Republic” form of government, are you?  If you desire any other form of government, please move to your country of choice and leave freedom loving Americans alone.

“USEFUL and USELESS IDIOTS”

I just received a new term from my friend Dr. Forrest and I wish to share this analogy with all of my conservative friends. To anyone else I sincerely hope you are not one of these poor souls? Probably not or you would not be reading this blog.

A “useful idiot”  was a term invented in the old Soviet Union to describe people who “blindly” supported those like Lenin and Stalin who committed atrocity after atrocity on their own people. As the American idiots we watch on TV have yet to commit atrocities I decided to invent a new term to describe them as “useless idiots”.

To me they are brainwashed liberals and leftists in search of making sure all they have to do is demonstrate. They demand that the useful working people can pay for everything so they can be useless and contribute nothing . It appears that this movement is stimulated by college students that aren’t necessarily idiots, but just misinformed, naive, and ignorant of facts due to being indoctrinated with liberal/socialist propaganda through our current education systems, media bias and a radical Presidents policies. They have been brain washed into believing that George W. Bush has committed more crimes against humanity than leftist darlings like Stalin, Mao, Yasser Arafat, and Saddam Hussian. They defend and plea for Communism to rule the United States. Communism has caused  over 100 million deaths in my lifetime.

See also, idiotarian

Today we sit by and watch these “useless idiots” gather at their college campus and the streets of New York to burn American flags, pass out Communist pamphlets that apologize for Stalin and Mao, and to pledge support to Chavez, Castro and the others. We watch our own Justice Department ignore those who seek to destroy America. It is sad to see this wonderful country being destroyed by a President who stimulates their anger with fear every day.

“Useless idiots” need to be shown the facts, mainly that the United States and Israel are the greatest defenders of freedom and justice in the world. These misguided, irrational people can be salvaged if enough conservatives stand together and defend our constitution from further attack.

If the majority of people continue to support the destruction of our Republic and demand a Socialist democracy our days of freedom and our success driven free enterprise lives will be over.

DEMOCRACY VERSUS A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC-HOW MANY KNOW THE DIFFERENCE?

Ignorance of history and  80 years of watching “Progressives” change America, I always thought I lived in a democracy. My life has provided me opportunity to visit 32 countries and 49 states. This included countries controlled by Kings, Dictators, Socialist, Communist and some I never really knew the controlling interest. I have witnessed a variety of US Presidents, including our current President, lead us to control the destiny of other nations via war, bribery, extortion, insurrection and other ways to encourage democracy. Another puzzeling fact is that we never recommend that anyone create a Constitutional Republic. This is what made America the envy of the world even though most Americans are unaware of the difference.

Over the past year I have finally discovered that there are major differences between a “Democracy” and a “Constitutional Republic”. I encourage every freedom loving American to take the time to understand the differences. America’s founders certainly understood the differences when they developed our Constitution and original Bill of Rights. Over the next two hundred years “Progressives” have chiseled away our freedoms by slowly amending and challenging our Republic. We are closer to changing our Constitutional Republic into a Socialist Democracy than the average American can believe.

I have witnessed the creation of a welfare dependent populace that has multiplied dramatically since my boyhood in the 1930s. Instead of working we now have a massive group of underprivileged that are paid “NOT” to work. In the 1930’s they at least did something to earn basic shelter and food. Charity and the churches took care of the ones incapable of working. Paying these people to not work created a need for someone else to do what is called menial jobs. Now we have and are witnessing the creation of another mass of aliens who totally depend on our progressive government to make sure they have work. These progressive changes have resulted in the primary reason we have watched the best healthcare program in the world be destroyed with biased unfunded demands. The same is true for the wealth sharing food assistance programs.  I do not need to discuss the explosion of the size of our government workforce, even the biased main stream media expose the waste of big government, occasionally.

How many of you are familiar with the trends that you are watching as all three branches of our government have become totally politicized? Look at the 5-4 Supreme Court decisions that occur on nearly every decision that is rendered. If you do not see the political bias when we have that difference on how to read the Constitution, you are part of the transition to a Socialist Democracy. Do you realize that when the Progressives achieve having more than 50% of the voters working for or being subservient to the government to provide for them with “ACLU Rights”, we will have a one party government and the death of our Republic? This is a result of both republican and democratic progressive Presidents.

The article that I have included as a link will hopefully wake up enough people to get involved. My reason for writing this article is to hopefully protect my heirs rights to freedom long after I depart. Sadly I have some of these Progressives in my family. Trying to awaken them is as futile as watching our “conservative leadership” in Washington trying to wield power and then self-destruct every time they have the opportunity to slow down the progressive train wreck of the Republic.

Please read the following article and I would appreciate your comments to this posting.  C Brewer

AMERICAN “ROYALTY”- PART ONE

Over the next few weeks I will share a vision of a transformation I have watched as a Texas boy,  man and now an 80 year old senior citizen. The recent election, news reports of how Congress and the President have reacted prompted me to share these facts with anyone interested in living in a free country. Is is a fact that we are spending ourselves into a position that “will” reduce the most powerful country in the history of the world, to a second class society. Our President is hell-bent on re-aligning our country from a “Republic” of freedom to a socialist democracy.

For those who are interested in creditability I have been retired for nearly 17 years. I served in manager and executive positions for 27 years in the aerospace industry, 5 years in the oil industry and some 10 years in management consulting and training. I am a retired Registered Professional Engineer with a Master Degree in Management I am a retired member of Mensa, Intertel, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Society of Petroleum and the American Society for Quality. My entire work life was associated with “Customer Satisfaction/ Quality”.  I have been fortunate to have worked or visited in 32 countries and 49 States. I have worked in;  Kingdoms and Emirates in the middle east; Socialist countries of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, France and others; Algeria, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, England, Scotland, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore; Malaysia, Indonesia, Mexico, Canada. You will note that many of these countries are dominately Muslim. I have also done work for companies in Columbia and India. I joined the U.S. Navy at 17 and served nearly 3.5 years on active duty before my 21st birthday.

Growing up in Texas in the 1930’s was not as pleasant as life today. My first 9 years of school were in Corsicana, Texas. A town of 33% gentiles, 33% Colored, 33% Jewish and 1% who had some money. As most families were either poor, poorer and poorest I never realized we were poor. Texas had nothing but conservative democrats, and Lyndon Johnson. My first realization that people who did have money were not all misers. We had a Andrew Carnegie library that provided me the opportunity to read and learn free at my will. I give this library credit for the beginning of my ability to reach my full potential and success in my life at 63. None of the above countries where I have worked provide the freedoms to allow you to reach your full potential. What scares me is that my heirs will lose this freedom if we the people do not reduce the power of government and alter the current plans of the “American Royalty”.

Over the years we have seen political office holders at every level from County, State, and nationally change from public servants to full-time “Royalty”. Now political offices are full time occupations. The level of “Royalty” is adjusted at each level. When you get to Congress, the Executive and the Judicial branches of our government, the advantages of “Royalty” increase exponentially higher.

To capture your interest in following this series let me use one example that has been predominate in the news this week. This involves Mr. Charles Rangel. The only thing I have in common with Mr. Rangel is that we are both 80. To illustrate the fact that Mr. Rangel has “Royalty Status”, let me state some facts.

1. He has been charged of hiding $600,000.00 in assets ( he says it was an oversight). 2. Failure to pay income tax on offshore assets (he says this was an oversight). 3. Paying his lawyers with illegal funds ( nothing said yet). 4. Zoning infractions in his home district offices ( a misunderstanding). 5. Misuse of free mailing privileges ( I have not heard his response). This is just a sample of the 13 charges he was tried on by a congressional committee just this week. He was convicted on 11 of the charges. I have seen nothing in the news to even say he has paid the back taxes which I doubt as an individual. Let me go on record today, 11-18-2010, and say that his punishment will be, at most, a slap on the wrist and some form of documented sanction that will mean nothing.

Now let me compare this using me, just a common person, as an example of the way us “Non-Royals” would be treated. Hiding assets would get me a prison term, a fine and ruin my life. Income tax evasion would get me a penalty, a fine and an audit every year for the rest of my life. Using illegal funds would get me a fine and prison sentence for money laundering. Zoning infractions would result in a fine as a minimum. Mis-use of the postal system would get me a fine and prison sentence for mail fraud.

If these events alone do not convience you we have a “Royalty” class in America, just read the entire series.

The democratic/progressive/environmentalist leaders had their hand called in the race to socialize America in the last election. Now the republicans have one more chance to show they can manage and lead the country. If they fail this time America will be a one party system and a virtual Kingdom. I will explain my reasoning for this in Part Two.
