MARTIAL LAW – WAKE UP AMERICA ?

Watching a mass eruption of “HATE” in the streets of America, the country I love and so much was the most horrible event of my life. This has been building up for several years. The recent events in California, North Carolina, Michigan, South Texas and now Virginia must be stopped and now.

If this does not stop now are we will have another civil war that is totally unnecessary. The event in Virginia that has been repeated on the media all day every day because the owners of the networks are one of the biggest inciters of violence America has ever seen. The other large group that has fanned the fires with security violations are 90% of all government employees except the military.

This also includes Congress and the thousands of their bloated staffs, along with the Federal Judges. It does not stop here as all of the States on the far-left coast and a  growing number of of rabid Cities like Chicago who openly ignore Federal laws and gloat about it on 99% of our far Left-Wing media. Ignoring the laws and trying to sue the Federal Government is insane.

Do you have any knowledge of or even care to know what “Martial Law” even means? To my knowledge we have not seen our government impose Martial Law but they have controlled things with this power in my lifetime. We took away all rights of Japanese Americans and and virtually imprisoned them in 1942. The media was not so far left-wing then and willfully complied with strict government rules. If a city, or state during that period in history had willfully and blatantly ignored any laws, like our idiotic Mayor of Chicago, he would have been imprisoned where he belongs now. If Trump and the Justice Department continue to allow a State or a City to disobey any law we will have another “Civil War” whether we want one or not.    

Let the following definition really soak in for a few hours before you decide what you would do this very day if you were President. Then look at my Bucket List of what I would do tomorrow if I was President.

“Martial law is the imposition of direct military control of normal civilian functions of government, especially in response to a temporary emergency such as invasion or major disaster, or in an occupied territory.” Wikipedia

I would have imposed Martial Law last Sunday after the stupid but deadly event in Virginia. Immediately followed by similar lawless events destroying public property when statutes were not only destroyed but childishly celebrated

I would have imposed a 48 hour blackout of both TV, radio, newspapers and any blog that was intended to incite anyone. C-Span and Public Radio would be the only source of news while new rules were issued on what can be reported by anyone. Anyone that disobeyed these rules would be immediately incarcerated by the Military if necessary. During this period any person or persons that conducted any public display of lawlessness or rioting would be jailed and charged with treason.

Every city and State would have 72 hours to cancel their Sanctuary status. Any Governor or mayor who failed to comply would be banned for lifetime from serving any elected position. They would be imprisoned and tried for treason by a military tribunal. Each would be replaced by a military officer until a new election could elect a successor

Congress would have been called back from their month long vacation and instructed to develop new laws/rules if necessary to stop people from destroying property and protesting anything for at least one year. Congress would be required to stay in session until the President decided the rebellion was over. Any College or University that permitted demonstrations would be closed permanently

I fully understand that this would be a historical action. I also feel certain that if something severe does not happen, Civil War is destined to occur.

If these rabid demonstrators should understand they can’t change history by destroying anything. I doubt that 2% of these “animals” have any education related to our history.

For the girls and women who are being “used” like mercenaries to protest a war that happened over 150 years ago, just stop and think. It took another half century for a woman to be permitted to vote. They are obviously not aware they were second class citizens compared freed slaves. I challenge every female who is upset with conservative values to see who finally gave them the right to vote.

Congress proves every day that they are the enemy of the people. Paul Ryan. Speaker of the House, just made a statement that proves my comment. He related, President Trump needs to slow down, understand, join the political process that does not function near as fast as he desires.

AMERICANS ARE HURTING – “CONGRESS COULD CARE LESS”!

After you read this send me a message and tell me how Congress and three vindictive Senators can take a month off when people are suffering. Our Congress is inhumane to keep the Obamacare debacle alive. I hope the voters remember every Democrat and the maverick RINO’s when they come up for re-election.

At the same time I can’t fathom why some news service does not compile a special report of actual facts of how health care costs are destroying working and retired Americans. If you hear younger Americans tell us seniors they are tired of paying for our Medicare they are not informed.

I will share some personal facts of how healthcare is effecting my retirement. I will also share two examples of the plight of two middle aged Americans, one is from my family regarding the insurance debacle. The sad part of this insurance disaster is that Congress and all government employees are exempt from the Obamacare disaster. They could care less as they have more than adequate insurance that we pay for most of their premiums with our taxes.

I retired nearly 24 years ago with one pension for 27 years service with what is now Lockheed-Martin. This provides us with a staggering $221.47 each month and no benefits. Now take a look at what Medicare provides and costs. We each pay $107.00 each month in premiums deducted from our Social Security, now named a Federal Entitlement. This is means tested and many retirees pay much more as they have higher incomes. We also pay for the first $185 of costs as a deductible or $370 total each year.

For the uninformed, Medicare only pays for 80% of medical costs and unless you are rich or a fool you have to buy a supplemental insurance policy to cover the 20%. This requires a policy just like those on Obamacare that is so-called competitive as the rates in each State are not the same. These premiums increase each year as you grow older regardless of your health. Being blessed with my 87th birthday this month and you reach this advanced age there is no competitive advantage to shop around for better rates as you are just too old. Currently the costs for Norma and I to be covered is $399.29 each month and these costs have increased twice in the past six months but who cares?

Bush #2 gave us old people another entitlement called Medicare part “D” for our drugs. This program is also competitive as you buy an insurance policy that has many options, choices and different premiums to chose from. These policies are so confusing my insurance agent for our Medicare refuses to even sell or recommend which insurance provider to buy from. As Norma takes much less prescription medication she has a policy with lower premiums and has a co-pay for her medication. In my case I have higher premiums and only have co-pay if their is no generic yet. Currently our monthly costs for prescribed drugs and premiums is about $210. In addition we take doctor recommended vitamins, aspirin, fish oil, bacteria for my colon and other assorted over the counter medical items. The Instaflex for my knees alone is $39 a month. This will easily average over $75 each month.

Speaking of my knees that are both bone on bone. My family doctor can inject steroids in my left knee every three months. I have to drive 128 miles to my referred Orthopedic Surgeon who administers three shots in my right knee every six months. Both doctors do not recommend surgery because I am just too old. Medicare pays for the steroid shots in my left knee and the shots injected by the Surgeon every six months. My main reason to include this information is to document why are there three and six month intervals. If I have to have the shots sooner Medicare will not pay for them. They cost $550 and $1800 each cycle. The doctors both told me there is no medical reason for the time periods but some bureaucrat in Washington decided that was what it would be. I do get a steroid shot in my right knee after four months as the series of shots never last six months.  

We have no coverage for dentistry work. Just yesterday I paid $210 to have my teeth cleaned and a getting a crown re-cemented in that came off when the hygienist was flossing my old teeth. Our average dental costs are $1500 each year.

Because I do not understand or trust the confusing Federal ograms I still maintain a catastrophic policy I have had for 50 years. It has a $25,000 deductible and cost $636 annually

To save you time our annual costs for healthcare is at least $13,279.00 at this time or $1,106.58 each month. Norma has not been admitted to a hospital since 1965 or 52 years ago. I have not been admitted to a hospital since 2004 or 13 years ago which means nothing for our insurance rates.

I hope those who think Medicare is free and are not government bureaucrats become aware of that planning for those “Golden Years” in advance is difficult.

Our daughter is in business for herself and is required to buy an Obamacare policy or pay a hefty tax penalty. She has not been hospitalized in the past seven years. Her policy premiums are some $800 a month and she has to pay $60 per visit any time she see’s her primary care doctor. She has no dental coverage and her policy has some other restrictions. It has a $6000 deductible clause. If her doctor refers her to a specialists the policy pays nothing until she reaches the $6,000. If the doctor send her to get any testing, X-Rays or lab work the policy pays nothing until the $6,000 deductible is met each year. If a generic drug exists they cost $5.00. If no generic drug exists the co-pay is extremely expensive. Some drugs are not even covered and she pays 100%. In the area she lives there are few choices and they keep disappearing as the insurance companies keep dropping out of the market. To keep her doctor she has been with for 25 years was a nightmare of bureaucratic paperwork.  

Can you imagine a government employee and especially a Congressperson screaming if they had a policy like hers or ours. They don’t have to worry as they are the new “Elite” class of Americans. When my grandchildren ask me what field of work to pursue I tell them either “healthcare” or “Government service”. These are the only fields with benefits as Obama killed benefits from most companies and the 40 hours work week. My son works for one of the largest companies in the world that offers no healthcare or retirement benefits to newly hired employees. Anyone who plans to live on Social Security is mindless. Why has this escaped exposure even from Fox News is scary?

I know a friend who works as hard as anyone I know. He is a maintenance worker and has no benefits. His wife also works and they have three small children. If she covers her husband and their children with her insurance she would have zero take home pay. The consequence is he and the three children must use Medicaid care where illegals have priority.

As the media or any well known journalist or commentator or even a well known Blog writer has never attempted to tell the real stories I will publish your story if desired? Maybe just one person in power in Washington might really understand.

I give up on Congress to help as they just play power games. Other matters are understandably important but to just sweep healthcare under the rug is hurting far too many deserving Americans. When two female Senators and John Mc Cain sank the repeal of Obamacare they betrayed their trust. Women I can understand are concerned about abortions and free birth control pill for even those on welfare. McCain who reversed his last vote, just voted no to punish Trump politically. Every pregnant woman who cares for everyone is still being punished because of these three Senators who hate President Trump. A really sad day for America folks when a “has been” Senator killed all hope to fix our healthcare to just stab Trump in the back. They used to call this Treason but Congress persons do not fear or support our laws they can just ignore them. Washington is broken but who cares? I do, do you? Please share this with every American possible.

REPULSIVECANS IMPLODE!

I hope I am not the only conservative who has endured eight year of Obama and now afraid of what is known as the Republican Party. I often wonder and would love if anyone older than my nearly 87 years has ever read my articles? I do have two friends older that do read my work and both agree with my political conservatism 100%. We have a great advantage as we have witnessed politics in America for a very long time. I have never discussed with my two older friends if they have always been conservatives. If so they, like myself, were Democrats when they were young men. We don’t need a history book as we have watched the Democratic party change from being the conservative leader to the now 100% socialist party of “NO”.  In the south we watched the Republican Party grow from no one to the majority Party in less than one decade.

My grandfather was the Democratic County Clerk of Palo Pinto County Texas when I was a boy. He was active in the Democratic party during the 1920′, 1930’s and early 1940’s. He was defeated after WWII and died at 70 in 1949. He was my idol and  had  a great impact on my life as he, like the Democratic party were staunch conservatives. I was 19 when he died and had been in the US Navy for nearly two years. I had never voted when he died as you were not considered an adult until you were 21. One thing is certain after having 7 children and 14 of my 15 grand children reach 21, maturity or adulthood is not measured by age. I have one 65 who has questionable political maturity and others were mature before they were 18. Allowing anyone to vote should require a written test just like a driver’s license. Anyone who can’t read or has questionable mentality should never be allowed to vote.   

My first vote in any election was in 1952  for Dwight Eisenhower for President. Without a doubt most statewide and local votes were for Democrats who were conservatives at that time. I have voted for Democrats in my Texas County of Sabine as late as 2008 as locally you had to be a Democrat to win an election. The ones in elected office were conservatives but things in East Texas and many other places in the south had not recognized the switch at the local level

I have been allowed to vote for 65 years now and watching the Congressional, Judicial and Executive branches elevate themselves to an “Elite” status has been troubling. Now we have more than the upper level of government employees having status far beyond the average American. We have gone from only the President from having a private airplane to lower than Cabinet level government employees demanding elevated status. I remember when Harry Truman left office he drove his own car back to Missouri. Our government is more than a swamp and unless you are blind and deaf you can see how powerful the employees have become and are using every possible way to dump Trump. Now we even have treason used with little concern of the media to reveal top-secret documents. I had a top-secret security clearance for several years and abridging this privilege would have still seen me in prison. I will guarantee that some of these idiots leaking information were not subjected to the vetting process I went through. These irresponsible people who commit treason do not deserve to be American citizens.

Now,  and again after waiting eight years to see the Republicans gain the majority in all three branches of government, they have become the enemy of the people. Watching Rand Paul, Susan Collins and a revolving group of face-time Congressional Representatives and Senators play politics with an issue so critical for the people is sickening. These same “Elites” have bitched, campaigned against, spent eight years hammering the Democrats every time they could beg to get interviewed to repeal Obamacare. Now that they have the power to kill the “Snake” that has created the biggest increase in insurance costs, erased forever the benefit of healthcare as a tax-free incentive working people and made billions for the insurance industry, they decided to fight each other.

In less than a year the Republicans have given away their leadership role to the Democrats who just sit back and watched the “Elephant Roast” make the Republicans look like buffoons they must be. I get a request for donations every day from the Republican Party. I will not help pay to watch the continued war among themselves. I get articles and listen to the pundits on Fox News try to wake these morons up with no success.

Obama shoved his healthcare plan that he knew would bankrupt America after he left office and at least the Democrats did not slay each other. Now we watch our elected Repulsivecan saviors enter the bullfight to save us and watch them decide to fight each other. The Bull just went up into the stands to watch the slaughter. I hope Trump can drain the swamp alone as these idiots will be of no help.  C Brewer

ORGANIZED AMERICAN INSURRECTION!

FOLKS IT’S TIME TO STOP THIS FOOLISH MOVEMENT.

Watching the mayhem, destruction of property and threats to both the police and other innocent Americans on May Day made me sick. This increase in insurrection since the election of President Trump must be stopped.

These repeated and increased incidents are attempts to destroy the United States from within with money coming from somewhere. If nothing else, surely the FBI and the other intelligence agencies have the capability to ferret out who is funding these movements. On the surface these incidents do not appear to be connected but when they do become a nation wide movement it is obvious that some form of civil war is on the near term horizon. This  has to be stopped and now. These reports showing masked, hooded, thugs obviously being paid by someone to destroy property reminds me of newsreel pictures I watched in the 1930’s as a boy from Nazi Germany.

These methods are exactly how Hitler used Storm Troopers and young hoodlums to menace, injure, destroy property to control the people he had disarmed earlier. If we had a media that was not controlled by the same people who have probably hired these thugs this comparison would be front page news. Our media is controlled by people who appear to have plans to overthrow the Trump government as soon as possible.

Recent stories and Blog activity indicate that George Soros’, who is my age, was involved in the inhuman activity in Germany in the 1930’s. If these stories are factual then why are they ignored by the mainstream media?

It amazes me that currently most of this insane behavior only happens in States and cities where liberals control the power. How do the average freedom loving Americans of Portland Oregon and other cities where insurrection was shown on the news this week can sit by and allow these actions to happen once, much less far to often?

Even worse we watch the majority leadership of the State of California, including the master of waste, Governor Brown, go completely insane. I can’t believe the majority of the California voters have elected so many loons that are hell-bent on not only opposing Constitutional laws, they just ignore them.

California is not alone as the entire west coast, Illinois, New York and most of New England seem to be populated with Americans who are demanding we become a Socialists Democracy instead of a Republic. The use of paid Americans and mercenaries from Mexico and other Hispanic countries to disrupt anything is against the law. Sadly for the last eight years we had a President that not only flaunted the law, he actually encouraged lawlessness and he and his Muslim advisors are why we have these activities today.

If the actions of the cabal of czars Obama surrounded himself with were not treason, then the United States is doomed. Watching Obama smile knowing he did more damage to America than every enemy we have ever faced makes my blood boil. He and his entire army of hate filled advisers would be in prison now if our government was not as corrupt as the one in Venezuela today.

Our own Congress has become a cesspool of special interest puppets that march to the dollars of covert Americans people like Soro’s. Far too many members are so dumb they don’t even know how to get paid to screw up everything. They just oppose any or everything to get face time before the media that is just as rotten as they are.

I believe if he would tell the truth, Trump would agree that every word I have written is factual. I also believe that his theme of draining the Washington swamp is so much worse that he suspected, that he is afraid to tell the American public everything he has uncovered. One thing is certain, if no one can remove him from power he may not be able to drain the entire swamp. I still believe he will eventually put enough power brokers and Government employees, including Congress leeches, in prison that all but the really stupid members will leave on their own. How fast they run will depend on continued support of Main Street Americans that elected Trump as our “High Sheriff”.


The OK Corral has been moved to Washington DC and both the Republicans in Name Only (RINO’s) and the Democrat’s better shape up or ship out. This old term was warning enough when I was a young 17 year old boy in the US Navy. That was a long long time ago.    C Brewer

UNITED STATES IS AT WAR WITH ITSELF.

I never dreamed I would live to see the turmoil, hate, property destruction and our government even at war with itself when the country is not at war with another country. I suppose this was happening during the Civil War. As I have written before Obama’s desire and dream to see Americans kill each other it is now being intensified. Some dissidents within the intelligence areas of the government itself are releasing classified information to a bloodthirsty twisted media that is begging for another Civil War. For one, I pray Trump is intelligent enough to drain the intelligence cesspool at warp speed. Things are happening so fast that even FOX News is unable to or is too scared to ferret out the facts alone. Soros and his Democratic puppets are operating close to treason and the media is helping hide the events.

A good friend of mine has a son who is apparently left of center is searching for answers. Hopefully he will wake up and understand that America is racing to become Socialists first and prisoner’s eventually when the Muslims gain control. The prime reason I wish to share this is I have children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who blindly are marching to the same music. The major difference my group is all females who have no idea or concern of their destiny and have ears filled with peanut butter and refuse to even have dialog with me. They all need to study what a life of slavery worse than we ever had in America is factually happening today.

My friend sent this following message to his son and the dialog that follows is something every parent who loves America needs to read. Unfortunately most of the demonstrators, destroyers of property and those who will never listen that are on the loose today spewing hate also have peanut butter in both ears.

It is a sad day when a Communist Leader makes more sense than “OUR LEADERS”, but here it is!

Vladimir Putin’s speech – SHORTEST SPEECH EVER. As the Russian president, addressed the Duma, (Russian Parliament), and gave a speech about the tensions with minorities in Russia:

“In Russia, we live like Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, it should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law, and live the life of Muslim’s, then we now clearly advise them to go and live in those places where that’s the state law.

“Russia does not need Muslim minorities. Minorities need Russia, but we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell ‘discrimination’. We will not tolerate disrespect of our Russian culture.

We had better learn from the suicides of so-called democracies – America, England, Holland, and France, if we are to survive as a nation. The Muslims are taking over those countries but they will not take over Russia. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of Sharia Law and Muslims.

“When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the Russian national interest first, observing that the Muslims Minorities Are Not Russians.”

The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a “Fifteen minute standing ovation.

Now the exchange of views.

Dad, I am not sure what to think of this note.  I would be very interested to know when Putin gave the speech and if he has given similar speeches in the past.   Why?  Because I would think that “leaders” such as Putin and Trump play off in another. 

Dad’s response. The most significant aspect of this note (to me) is the concern for our future and the ever increasing threat from Islamic states.  A significant emphasis of the Islamic belief system is that non-believers must be killed, if they refuse to convert to Islam!  That is a clear and present danger to the entire world & Christians, in particular. Most, if not all, non-Muslim religions will accept alternative beliefs and religious dogma; however, not if a religion advocates the death of all non-believers; e.g., Christians and Jews.

Dad, don’t you think it is troubling that Trump refuses to release his Federal tax records?  With all of the controversy swirling around about Russia, the POTUS should be trying to show a clear separation between himself and foreign powers, especially Russia.  Trump is not a stupid guy, so he has a major reason for this refusal.  I don’t think it is a simple as his taxes are under audit or review. 

Dad’s response. Trump’s tax records.  He is not required to do so, either before or after the election.  He was elected despite that non release. As he said in the campaign, he followed the advice of his accountants and lawyers in order to minimize his overall tax bill.  I follow the tax advice of my accountant, don’t you? 

Dad, interesting what has happened with Mike Flynn.  Again, there is a connection with Russia and the THREAT potential for extortion.  Why is Trump cozy with Putin, when all the intelligent services, and therefor NSC and POTUS, know of their history of blackmail.  My comments herein are not political.  I am concerned about the exposure of the USG due to POTUS being exposed or vulnerable to blackmail.

Dad’s response. Re Trump being “cozy” with Putin.  A pejorative term at best that may reflect a non-confrontational attitude toward a major opposing ideology. If we have to deal with a bully, do we accuse or insult him to his face or do we couch our terms and references more circumspectly? Remember the adage that goes…”Keep your friends close but your enemies closer!” 

Re: Blackmail. Almost anyone can be accused of almost anything, true?  Political dialogue is a constant stream of accusations.  If someone does something he wouldn’t normally do in response to these possibly true attacks, then an individual could be said to be a victim of blackmail. What indications are there that lead you to conclude he is being blackmailed by the Russians?   

Re: Flynn.  Looks like some holdover anti-Trump supporters leaked the details of these conversations. That’s much more concerning to me than Flynn’s error in what was said and done between him and a Russian official during the period between his appointment by Trump and Trump’s inauguration. I bet a million that leaks by disgruntled hold over staff, with anti-Trump sentiments, haven’t happened on a scale like this, in recent political history. The Democrats are having a field day, over blowing all these little details that keep surfacing because of leaks by Trump haters. Trust and integrity have been the biggest casualty in this peaceful, so far, transfer of Administration.

Dad, as for this email, a country or a people are often judged by the way the they wage war, dominate the economic landscape, but equally as important is the manner in which the country treats it citizens and those that seek to join it.  America is a dream for the vast majority of the world’s citizens – Russia is not.  We cannot compare the two countries no matter how much Trump or Putin want to do that exact thing.  Democracy is not easy, a dictatorship is a much easier way to govern.

Dad’s response. On immigration: The US is a magnet for the poor and disadvantaged people of the world for a host of reasons, mostly economic. Russia, not so much, unless you happen to live in Uzbekistan or Outer Mongolia.  The act of sneaking into the US, jumping the queue, is a crime, pure and simple.  Rewarding such people is unfair to those who follow the law and it’s stupid.  Despite the all crying about self-imposed family separation, breaking the law has consequences. We may be the “dream” of would be residents; however, the taxpayer doesn’t share that dream when they are obligated to support the costs associated with millions of illegal immigrants, i.e., welfare, education, law enforcement, etc. The baloney that the illegals pay taxes is a red herring, as well. A large proportion of illegals have no SSAN, and receive cash payments for their labor which does not get taxed because it’s not reported.  It isn’t mean or cruel for the gov’t to follow the law.  It may not give everyone a warm and fuzzy feeling nor does it mean they want to pay higher taxes to support illegal residents.

Dad, the conservative elements in the White House I think would love to move more toward an authoritarian style government so that they could “get their agenda” moving on.  But that is the messy part of the democracy and why millions of people around the world aspire to come here and enjoy the US kind of democracy.  SON

Authoritarian style government.  Have you conflated several concepts here?  What is your definition of an “authoritarian style gov’t?  Does it include the establishment of a “dictatorship? That sounds a little farfetched to me, even a trace of fear mongering. What, in your “opinion”, indicates such intentions?

I think most of us knew the transition would be rocky, during the period where leftover staff remained in their jobs and were privy to confidential information.  The leaking of such sensitive information is intentionally destructive to the Trump administration.  It “sour grapes” personified. When all cabinet heads and related staff are appointee’s “loyal” to in current administration, these unconscionable leaks should dry up. DAD

I tried to find a way to possibly publish this in more than one part. Unfortunately anyone who missed any of this information flow would gain nothing. I wish I was smart enough to know how to get every American alive, including my own family, to just read this. RESPECT

Wow, the NAACP has demanded that the Secret Service, the FBI, liberal newscasters and anyone else that listens to their constant barrage of racist policies, must charge a rodeo clown with treason for making fun of our Anointed Emperor “Obama the First”. This performer is now in the Cross Hairs of every biased newsperson and young black man in America. A showing of dis-respect for the President of the United States would now be a criminal offense. All of a sudden, when we have a half-black person serving as President, any criticism or lack of respect for that person should be a criminal offense. Open the prison gates because following me for having no respect for Obama will cause a prison crowding problem never before imagined. Logically making it a felony would assure that by conservatives losing their voting rights, the Democrats would not even need an election to complete their Socialist Democracy goal.

Within the same week we have seen the Attorney General of the United States, without any authority, decide to ignore the laws of the land again. Because the majority of drug related prisoners in our prisons are young blacks, he has decided they have been over sentenced for their crimes. He also instructed the Justice Department to ignore mandatory sentencing guidelines approved by Congress and a previous President. Removing the felony status for drug dealers would help free up prison space to incarcerate all conservatives and rodeo clowns. The druggies would also be able to vote again. What a plan and the news media will help them ram it through any opposition, wow.

Internet Definition of Respect.

Respect is a positive feeling of esteem or deference for a person or other entity (such as a nation or a religion) and also specific actions and conduct representative of that esteem. Respect can be a specific feeling of regard for the actual qualities of the one respected (e.g., “I have great respect for her judgment”). It can also be conduct in accord with a specific ethic of respect. Rude conduct is usually considered to indicate a lack of respect, disrespect, whereas actions that honor somebody or something indicate respect. Specific ethics of respect are of fundamental importance to various cultures. Respect for tradition and legitimate authority is identified by Jonathan Haidt, a professor at the New York University Stern School of Business, as one of five fundamental moral values shared to a greater or lesser degree by different societies and individuals.

Respect is both given and received. We expect other people to respect us in return for the respect we show them. Respect is also something that is earned by the standards of the particular society in which one lives. Respect cannot be measured as a quantity, cannot be bought or traded, it is one of those things that is earned and built over time, but that can be lost with one stupid or inconsiderate act. One can ask or beg for respect, but only others can bestow us with respect as a result of their perceived treatment by us. Continued caring interactions are then required to maintain or increase that original earned respect. Respect cannot always be seen or observed by actions, but for those who practice chivalry, the outward display of respect is refreshing. Some women view this as patronizing and demeaning, but in its pure form chivalry is about nearly absolute respect.

Respect should not be confused with tolerance, since tolerance doesn’t necessarily imply subordination to one’s qualities but means treating as equal.

The antonym and opposite of respect is disrespect.

Let’s review some terms of the word “Respect”:

1. Anyone who has earned the respect of others.

In a free society “Respect” must be earned by performance and can’t be bestowed on anyone. A president earns their respect by gaining a majority of votes, legal and illegal, in our elections every four years. If he received 100% of the votes he might be offended but if he loses 49.9% on the votes a bunch of folks had more respect for his opponent and have the right to free speech. At least we do now and until Holder and Obama issue Executive Orders to eliminate the First Amendment of our Constitution. The ACLU and the NACCP would love that.

2. Soldiers who salute as a sign of respect.

Soldiers do not have the rights of free speech and are bound by a different set of rules. They are required to respect Officers with a salute. It would be interesting to see a vote of our military, including Officers, if their salute would be the middle finger when being faced with their Commander in Chief. 

3. Despite your differences, you have enormous respect for someone.

I respect the Office of the President of the United States of America. Only three of them, Truman, Eisenhower and Reagan had my respect as an honest person. I voted for others because they were one notch better than the other candidate, not because I respected them. I would not need to take off my shoes to count how many current politicians, local, state or national, I vote for that have my respect.

4. Show of great respect for someone’s accomplishments.

If accomplishments were a criteria for Obama, he could not find one to brag about if he looked under every dead body in Chicago. One sign of respect is silence when visiting the Arlington National Cemetery.

5. Demands to be treated with respect.

Now this describes the ACLU, NACCP, Holder, Obama and 99% of every Democrat and black person in America. If they can’t earn respect, just demand it and make it the law of the land. Kings, Dictators, Despots, Czars have this by historical status and/or by the muzzle of a gun, or in some cases both.

Some people earn the respect of individuals by assisting others or playing important social roles. In many cultures, all individuals are considered to be worthy of respect until they prove otherwise. Courtesies that show respect include simple words and phrases like “thank you” in the West, simple physical gestures like a slight bow in the East, a smile or direct eye contact. This conveys a level of respect that over time will form a cohesive bond within a society.

Today respect can be in the form of a bribe, a political donation, IRS approval or audit and helping Mickey Mouse and the dead people register and vote for the Liberal-Democratic candidate in every election. Sounds like this could be a job description for ACORN, NOW, NAACP and the ACLU.
