INTERESTING AMERICAN FACTS!

My great friend, Vickey Chau sent me this collection of some strange facts about America that most Americans should enjoy. Everyone who knows me understands that I am avid to learn something new every day. I found this to be a most a enjoyable read.   C Brewer

#1   In more than half of all states in the United States of America,the highest paid public employee in the state is a football coach.

#2   It costs the U.S. government 1.8 cents to mint a penny and 9.4 cents to mint a nickel.

#3   Almost half of all Americans (47 percent) do not put a single
penny out of their paychecks into savings.

#4   Apple has more money than the U.S. Treasury.

#5   The state of Alaska is 429 times larger than the state of Rhode Island. But Rhode Island has a significantly larger population than Alaska does.

#6   Alaska has a longer coastline than all of the other 49 U.S. states put together.

#7   The city of Juneau, Alaska, is about 3,000 square miles in size.It is actually larger than the entire state of Delaware.

#8   When LBJ’s “War on Poverty” began, less than 10 percent of all U.S. children were growing up in single parent households. Today, that number has skyrocketed to 33 percent.

#9   In 1950, less than 5 percent of all babies in America were born to unmarried parents. Today, that number is over 40 percent. (Blacks are up to 76%.)

And now the summary/opinion. More to think about! Once upon a time we were the most loved and most respected nation on the entire planet, but those days are gone. We have wrecked our economy, we have lost our values and we have fumbled away our future. But if you look close enough, you can still see many of the things that once made this country a shining beacon to the rest of the world. This article includes some weird facts, some fun facts, but also some very troubling facts. If we are ever going to change course as a nation, we need to come to grips with just how far we have fallen.

I tried to find out who compiled this material without success and I did learn several things that satisfied my thirst for knowledge today. I hope others find this interesting and if anyone knows who wrote this let me know and I will acknowledge the source.  Clyde Brewer  11-7-15

WHY WE ARE GOING BROKE?

Maybe Trump is more accurate than we give credit for.

The biggest factor why seniors are losing more and more benefits. They are getting blamed for the country going broke.  

It’s easy to dismiss individual programs that benefit non-citizens until they’re put together and this picture emerges.

Someone did a lot of research to put together all of this data. Often these programs are buried within other programs making them difficult to find.  

A Real Eye Opener….WHY the USA is going BANKRUPT? Read this:      

We have been hammered with the propaganda that it was the Iraq war and the war on terror that is bankrupting us.

Are we THAT Stupid?

ALL POLITICIANS = ELECTED WELFARE!

Politics over my 84 years has digressed from watching the United States lead the world into the technological era to watching all political actions today looking like a Three Stooges comedy. We have a President who believes he is the second coming of Mohammad. We have an Attorney General who believes we still have slavery. We have a Secretary of State who is a traitor. We have a departing Senate Majority Leader who is so possessed with power he is a multi-millionaire and never held a real job in his life. We have Democrats that are afraid to call themselves Socialists and the only objectives they have is to get re-elected by the poor people that they covertly manage to keep poor.

Moving to the Republicans, we find another leaderless abyss in a political party that is its own worst enemy. They are on the threshold of increased power in 2015 but they will screw it up and lose the Presidential election again in 2016. The current House of Representatives, with Republican power but leaderless, has let President Obama make them look like the “House of Fools” for two years. They are so afraid of the President they can’t even agree with each other.

The next two years will be the same old routine, Obama will do whatever he desires and Boehner will lick his boots and the new Republican Senate leadership will fold like a deck of cards. The only positive Senate action will be to hopefully stop the appointment of liberal political hack lawyers to the Federal Judgeships and possibly the Supreme Court. I use the word “hopefully” as Obama is a “Master of Political Skull Drudgery’. It would not surprise me to see him overturn the law that limits Presidents to two terms of office and watch the Republicans run and hide in the closet. Losing the power of the Senate will slow down Obama’s real objective of making the United States a Socialists Democracy rather than a Republic. He needs a third term and control of both halves of Congress to complete his mission.

I understand the poor people who have lived off of the government all of their lives and support of the Democrats who designed their welfare trap. Without jobs people get hungry and after being able to survive without working who would want a job. If they want more just take it away from those who want to work. Recent news is a perfect example, just protest, rob, loot and destroy as the government suggested and Obama and Holder will not prosecute.

I also understand that if Obama and the Democrats can’t get immunity for the Hispanics to work and pay taxes they will eventually run out of welfare money. When they have completed their mission to take all of the savings from those who worked for a living another dilemma will occur. The life-long lazy and those faking disabilities will have to go back to work to eat. If that happens they will never vote for a Democrat again. What they have overlooked is more and more Hispanics have been getting educated and now have some leaders who will lead them into power and conservative principles.

Eric Holder believes that African-Americans deserve to live off of Caucasians because they  bought them as slaves over 150 years ago. He and others ignore the fact that other Africans sold them to Americans. Inciting any American to steal, threat or kill another American should get Obama, Holder, Jackson and Sharpton in prison but it will never happen. Good old Al Sharpton owes the IRS millions in back taxes that would get you and me in prison. All it gets him is on MSNBC every day and continued invitations to sit and hate whites with Obama in the White House.

Let me end this chapter of my Conservative Views returning to my headline, “All Politicians = Elected Welfare. Once elected they are guaranteed a pension ten times greater than the average American. The longer they can suck off the Government teat the more they can receive in benefits. They don’t have to deal with Obamacare. They are immune from IRS scrutiny. They work less than half the time we have to work. Vacations and useless trips are made first class, not in the back of the bus or plane. Some have done better like Harry Reid who lives in splendor in a $4,000 a week massive hotel suite.

One major difference is their welfare checks and privileges are far more comfortable than yours or mine. When you vote next time remember who you are enriching with wealth and power. I hope and pray that a real leader stands up soon to steer the United States back on a conservative path and unite instead of dividing Americans.

This old veteran loves this country and my eyes still get wet when I see our flag and hear the Star Spangled Banner. We can improve our lives again if enough of us want to.

ARE AMERICANS REALLY STUPID?

NO, too many are just brainwashed by Liberal-Progressive Democrats who have perfected  the use of twisting facts to divide rather than unite Americans.

My wonderful friend, Joan Withrow, sent me this enlightning scenario about guns. Someone obviously created this to explain the parallel of  how the Democrats can so easily control enough Congresspersons and prove  we have enough “dumb” Americans to believe anything they concoct like Obamacare.

MY GUN 

Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Remington 30.06 right in the doorway. I left 6 cartridges beside it, then left it alone and went about my business.

While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the neighbor boy across the street mowed the yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign near the front of my house.

After about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting there, right where I had left it. It hadn’t moved itself outside. It certainly hadn’t killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had presented to do so.

In fact, it hadn’t even loaded itself. Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the hype by the Left and the Media about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people.

Either the media is wrong or I’m in possession of the laziest gun in the world.

The United States is 3rd in Murders throughout the World. But if you take out just 4 cities: Chicago, Detroit, Washington, DC and New Orleans, the United States is 4th from the bottom, in the entire world, for Murders.

These 4 Cities also have the toughest Gun Control Laws in the U.S. ALL 4 of these cities are controlled by Democrats.

It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data – right?

Well, I’m off to check on my spoons. I hear they’re making people fat. 

Now let me add some other facts and hope enough voters that the Democrats call “dumb” Americans will wake up. Americans are not dumb regardless of what only Fox News has the honesty to report. The videos shown this week of the designer of Obamacare made bragging about how “dumb” we are, was the most perfect example of our Presidents agenda and perception of freedom loving Americans.

Obama is acting like a child out of control. The decision to issue more restrictive EPA rules, legalizing 4,500,000 illegal aliens by Executive Order is designed for one reason. His entire agenda is to divide Americans with every action he takes. Losing control of the Senate caused him to act like a three year old child who just had their sucker taken away from and like the child he just sulks and races to destroy something else.

Obama hates the United States, our Constitution and actually hates the majority of Americans, especially our military. His hatred for Israel is so profound he makes secret deals with Iran, China and Russia that will eventually hurt Americans more than the “dumb” will ever see.

The things that bothers me the most is why Americans are so confused, not “dumb”. The most damaging change I have watched over my 84 years is the media. We don’t get the facts from the main stream media anymore as it might offend someone. We get biased commentary that fits the ego driven actors who are controlled by the newspapers and television broadcasts  executives who have no concern for ethics or honesty. All decisions are based on revenue. My second most concern is that politicians are no longer “Public Servants”. The new name for all elected individuals is Career Politician. At the State and National level they now spend about 5% of their time devoted to the job they were elected to do and 95% to make sure they can get re-elected.

We are leaderless and the prospects for a real leader to emerge seem doubtful. At least my grandchildren will have the nearly 800 articles I have posted to analyze why they do not have the freedoms or opportunities I enjoyed. They will be working two jobs to pay for fiasco the Democrats have imposed on them when they were too young to vote.

LABOR DAY-A SAD DAY FOR AMERICA

Deindustrialization of America

The United States is rapidly becoming the very first “post-industrial” nation. All great economic nations eventually become fat, lazy and waste the wealth previous generations left them. The pace at which America is becoming a Socialist nation is unbelievable. America was the leader of the industrial revolution.

Americans showed the world how to mass produce everything from automobiles to televisions to airplanes. It was the great American manufacturing base that defeated Germany and Japan in World War II.

Tens of thousands of factories have left the United States in the past decade alone. Millions upon millions of manufacturing jobs have been lost in the same time period. The United States has become a nation that consumes everything in sight and yet produces less each year. Our biggest export today is waste paper. Yes, trash is the number one thing that we ship out to the rest of the world as we spend our money on whatever the rest of the world wants to sell to us.

At one time Americans could literally out produce the rest of the world combined. Today we consume more than anyone else in the world.

Every great nation throughout history has been superior at making “things”. We have created the biggest debt bubble in the history of the world. Progressives and unions have demanded a standard of living for every American that is impossible to maintain when we have 9% unemployment and over 40 million people on welfare.

Why? Look over the 18 following specific events that should wake up every American, and hopefully union members, to force our President and Congress to stop the eternal election cycle and do something “NOW”

#1 The United States has lost approximately 42,400 factories since 2001. About 75 percent of those factories employed over 500 people when they were still in operation.

#2 Dell Inc. (computers) has announced plans to dramatically expand its operations in China with an investment of over $100 billion over the next decade. They will close the last large U.S. manufacturing facility in North Carolina in November and 900 jobs will be lost.

#3 in 2008, 1.2 billion cell phones were sold worldwide. Guess how many of them were manufactured in the United States? None.

#4 According to the Economic Policy Institute, if the U.S. trade deficit with China continues to increase at its current rate, the U.S. economy will lose over half a million jobs in 2011.

#5 By the end of July, 2011, the U.S. trade deficit with China had risen 18 percent compared to the same time period a year ago.

#6 The United States has lost a total of about 5.5 million manufacturing jobs since October 2000.

#7 According to Tax Notes, between 1999 and 2008 employment at the foreign affiliates of U.S. parent companies increased an astounding 30 percent to 10.1 million. During that exact same time period, U.S. employment at American multinational corporations declined 8 percent to 21.1 million.

#9 In 1959, manufacturing represented 28 percent of U.S. economic output. In 2008, it represented 11.5 percent.

#9 Ford Motor Company announced the closure of a factory that produces the Ford Ranger in St. Paul, Minnesota. Approximately 750 middle class jobs will be lost because making Ford Rangers in Minnesota does not fit in with Ford’s new “global” manufacturing strategy.

#10 By the end of 2009, less than 12 million Americans worked in manufacturing. The last time less than 12 million Americans were employed in manufacturing was in 1941.

#11 In the United States today, consumption accounts for 70 percent of GDP. Of this 70 percent, over half is spent on services.

#12 The United States has lost 32 percent of its manufacturing jobs since the year 2000.

#13 In 2001, the United States ranked fourth in the world in per capita broadband Internet use. Today it ranks 15th.

#14 manufacturing employment in the U.S. computer industry is actually lower in 2010 than it was in 1975.

#15 Printed circuit boards are used in tens of thousands of different products. Asia now produces 84 percent of them worldwide. We manufactured 100% at one time.

#16 The United States spends approximately $3.90 on Chinese goods for every $1 that the Chinese spend on goods from the United States.

#17 One prominent economist is projecting that the Chinese economy will be three times larger than the U.S. economy by the year 2040.

#18 The U.S. Census Bureau says that 43.6 million Americans are living in poverty and that is the highest number of poor Americans in the 51 years that records have been kept.

Unions, progressive politicians and greed have created this unfortunate loss. Our government is now creating totally new regulations to force all industry to be unionized. Other than union members how many other Americans agree that unionizing everything will accelerate job growth?

HAPPY LABOR DAY TO ALL UNION MEMBERS. You have just about eliminated your future. Those cushy pensions and out of control wages and benefits you demanded will dry up the money well, it’s just a matter of time so hurry up and dig your own grave.

NATIONAL IDENTITY- FOR WHAT AND FOR WHO?

 

 

 HERE ARE ALL THE DEVELOPED NATIONS OF THE WORLD THAT OFFER BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP TO THE BABIES OF TOURISTS AND ILLEGAL ALIENS:1.    United States
 That’s right, every other modern developed nation in the world has gotten rid of birthright citizenship policies.  Yet, during the last few months, most of U.S. news media and many politicians have ridiculed comments by some other politicians that it is time for the U.S. to put an end to birthright citizenship for tourists and illegal aliens.
Folks, the U.S. stands alone.

 

There used to be all kinds of Developed countries that gave away their citizenship as freely as we do in the U.S.    But one by one they all have recognized the folly of that policy.

SOME MODERN COUNTRIES THAT RECENTLY ENDED THEIR BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP POLICY:

  • Canada was the last non-U.S … holdout.  Illegal aliens stopped getting citizenship for their babies in 2009
  • Australia’s birthright citizenship requirements are much more stringent than those of H.R. 1868 and took effect in 2007
  • New Zealand repealed in 2006
  • Ireland repealed in 2005
  • France repealed in 1993
  • India repealed in 1987
  • United Kingdom repealed in 1983
  • Portugal repealed in 1981

The United States is now the laughing stock of the modern world. Only the U.S. values its citizenship so lowly as to distribute it promiscuously to the off-spring of foreign citizens visiting Disney World on tourist visas and to foreign citizens who have violated their promises on their visitor, work and student visas to stay illegally in the country, as well as to those who just plain sneak across our borders. It’s not just Mexico and South America who are sending illegals across our borders.  Currently, the CBP reports that of those apprehended illegally crossing the border, China is number one.
Wake up America.

Illegal aliens from China , India , Russia , the Middle East  and a host of other nations are flooding the country.  Ironically, some of these illegals and/or their offspring are given positions at the front of the line for Government jobs, contracts and assistance.
Look around you!  We are giving away our culture, and economic and fiscal strength because our borders are not secure and we bestow citizenship irresponsibly.

UNION DISASTERS

 

 Before the Wisconsin debacle that has dominated the recent news, my interest and knowledge about “Unions” was limited to the private business sector. I am fully aware that “Unions” have created the loss of manufacturing jobs that plague the country and why we have to import most of the consumer product we buy today. When you couple “Union” pressured trade barriers with the regulatory pressure of the “Tree huggers”, we have made conducting business in America nearly impossible. I have created businesses in Canada and the United States and without a doubt the Canadian government is far more business friendly. They actually help you get started and survive.

The “Wisconsin Disaster” unveiled another “Union” situation that has been off the radar since Reagan fired the air traffic controllers a long time ago. Unionization of government employees is one of the dumbest things I have seen evolve in my 80 years as an American. Can you just imagine that as this practice expands, we could see the “Unionization” of Congress, the Judicial and Executive branches of American government?

 We have some union type demands already in place like the lifetime terms for Federal Judges and the Supreme Court (tenure). There are no measurements of performance and they can’t be terminated. Congress uses seniority (tenure) as the basis for power and committee appointments. Thank God they can be terminated as we witnessed last November.

 With Obama’s passion for European style Socialism, visualize the potential of “Unionizing” the Executive branch of government. The President and his army of czars could go on strike for better pay and fringe benefits. Who could stop them? What would happen if the Supreme Court decided to strike? If Congress went on strike and refused to function, who could stop them? I could drive you insane with the possibilities of what an uncontrolled government could do. If you wish to see what idiots who mesmerize the populace can do, read what Chavez has done in Venezuela. See how he used the unions to get elected and gain dictatorial powers. Why can’t this happen here? 

Before you accuse me of insanity, look at what is happening in the real world today. All democratic State Senators in Wisconsin left the State to avoid doing state business. The Governor has not been able to get them to return. The media legal eagles have stated that there is no law being broken and no one has the power to arrest them for anything.  

I would like to say that if a quorum of Congress were to do the same thing, it would be tragic. Unfortunately it could probably be an improvement over the idiotic regulations and Obamacare they raced to impose before the last election. Congress has allowed the Executive branch to run wild for over two years. If the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) alone is not abolished soon, we just think energy prices are high today. Locally the price for gasoline has jumped about 9% in the last week. Coupled with out of control spending, we are watching America destroyed from within. Our current government in action at all levels is like watching cartoons. 

I am now compiling data and facts of what “Unionization” of the teachers in Wisconsin has cost the citizens. The questionable legality of how they are provided insurance alone will amaze you. The teachers own the insurance company and collective bargaining is how they have screwed the taxpayer. Stay tuned for a series on public service unions nation-wide.
