My old friend Emma C sent me this intriguing history lesson. Most of my friends are well aware I have a goal to learn something every day and this more than fulfilled my goal for today. I believe every one will agree Thomas Jefferson was a brilliant American and the following is well worth reading. It is a shame that even I was unaware of most of the facts about Jefferson’s obvious genius as history was still important when I finished high school in 1947. If all Americans cared we might understand how brilliant our founders were in creating our Republic form of government. The sad part is the Progressive-Liberal power-hungry zealots in both the Democrat and Republican party are currently and systematically destroying everything that millions of America have died for to protect our freedoms. I sincerely hope you will take the time to read this, even those people in foreign countries who subscribe to my blog, as it will help explain the differences we have in both governments, opportunities and freedoms. FACTS
Thomas Jefferson was a very remarkable man who started learning very early in life and never stopped. His likeness is on our two dollar bill.
At 5, began studying under his cousin’s tutor.
At 9, studied Latin, Greek and French.
At 14, studied classical literature and additional languages.
At 16, entered the College of William and Mary. Also could write in Greek with one hand while writing the same in Latin with the other.
At 19, studied Law for 5 years starting under George Wythe.
At 23, started his own law practice.
At 25, was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses.
At 31, wrote the widely circulated “Summary View of the Rights of British America”. He retired from his law practice.
At 32, was a delegate to the Second Continental Congress.
At 33, wrote the Declaration of Independence. He began a three-year project to revise Virginia’s legal code and write a Public Education bill and a statute for Religious Freedom.
At 36, was elected the second Governor of Virginia succeeding Patrick Henry.
At 40, served in Congress for two years.
At 41, was the American minister to France and negotiated commercial treaties with European nations along with Ben Franklin and John Adams.
At 46, served as the first Secretary of State under George Washington.
At 53, served as Vice President and was elected President of the American Philosophical Society.
At 55, drafted the Kentucky Resolutions and became the active head of Republican Party.
At 57, was elected the third president of the United States.
At 60, obtained the Louisiana Purchase doubling the nation’s size.
At 61, was elected to a second term as President.
At 65, retired to Monticello.
At 80, helped President Monroe shape the Monroe Doctrine.
At 81, almost single handed he created the University of Virginia and served as its first president.
At 83, died on the 50th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence along with John Adams.
Thomas Jefferson knew because he himself studied the previous failed attempts at government. He understood actual history, the nature of God, His laws and the nature of man. That happens to be way more than what most understand today. Jefferson really knew his stuff.
A voice from the past to lead us in the future:
John F. Kennedy held a dinner in the White House for a group of the brightest minds in the nation at that time. He made this statement: “This is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one time in the White House with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.”
Factual Jefferson statements.
“When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe,we shall become as corrupt as Europe.”
“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”
“It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.”
“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”
“My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.”
“No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.”
“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny
in government.”
“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” –
“To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”
Plea for feedback
I wish this could be read by every American who desires to protect our solvency and Republic form of government! it is hard for me to concede that the majority of Americans today desire to change our government to a Socialists Democracy, especially when we are watching Europe self-destruct again. Our President is on the same path using Executive Orders to remove some freedoms, ignore current laws and slowly destroy our Constitution. Why? I beg every American citizen who reads this to at least agree or disagree by commenting on the blog. It will be informational to collect this data and publish a follow-up message to reveal the results. I get negative feedback and filthy accusations on Facebook and by E mail. My biggest disappointment over these past few years is that seldom does anyone take the time to comment on the actual blog where I can share them with over 525 subscribers and explain or rebut your comments. The messages are free and without feedback it is difficult to know what subjects people who read my articles would prefer. C Brewer
One could go crazy reading and watching the media try to sway the election next month. If I had not watched the media get Obama re-elected in 2012, I would have bet my life on the Republicans winning control of the Senate next month. Watching Americans get brainwashed by the most corrupt media that has ever existed in my 84 years is the saddest event in my lifetime.
I am truly an Independent voter, I just proved that last Monday when I early voted and actually voted for two individuals, one Democrat and one Libertarian. I did not vote for all of the Republicans, I voted against Republicans, Democrats, Libertarian and Green Party individuals who could not find their way out of a paper sack if one end remained open. Sad but our politicians have become so corrupt, unethical, unqualified that in some cases you just have to vote for the best of the worst as no real leader chose to run for some positions.
This year the Republicans, in spite of self-destructing over abortion in some places, are on record to stop the destruction of our Constitutional Republic form of government. The Democrat-Liberal-Progressive power has nearly destroyed our freedoms and they will if left in power. The George Bush Republican-Progressives are powerless at this point in time to control the Republican Party.
Reading the various polls tells me that the Democrats will keep control of the Senate seats in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon and Virginia. It is hard for me as a Texan who has spent a lot of time in New Mexico to understand how the people can keep a Democrat in the Senate. They used to love the freedoms they have now lost and appear to be comfortable with letting Harry Reid control the future. The rest of these States are and have been controlled by morons like Al Franken for so long they have no capacity to even think for themselves anymore.
Looking at the polls they place the following Senate seats in the toss-up category. Alaska/Begich (D), Colorado/Udall (D), Kansas/Roberts (R), Kentucky/McConnell (R), Louisiana/Landrieu (D), New Hampshire/Shaheen and North Carolina/Hagan (D). The polls also show the Senate seats in Iowa and Georgia to be a toss-up. Colorado and Oregon are no surprise as they are already controlled by potheads. North Carolina like Virginia are no longer conservative.
Again I am really surprised that the voters in Alaska, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, and especially Louisiana appear to be even considering a vote for anyone but the Republican nominee. I live on the Texas/Louisiana border, spend as much time and money in Louisiana as I do in Texas. I have yet to find one Louisiana voter who will admit they voted for Obama but for some reason they keep Mary Landrieu in power to help Harry Reid to cram the courts with Liberal/Progressive Judges like Sotomayor, Ginsburg and Kegan. Like New Mexico I suppose that loss of freedoms in these states is unimportant to the voters anymore?
The polls show that Arkansas/Mark Pryor (D) and South Dakota are leaning toward the Republican candidate and that Mississippi/Cochran and West Virginia will be Republican seats in the next Congress. If Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana or Mississippi elect or re-elect a Democrat to help Harry Reid stay in control of power in the Senate, Socialism will be in place for the next 100 years. I hope someone else cares?

LEGALIZED LYNCHING! STILL ALIVE AND WELL IN TEXAS. SEEMS TO BE CROSSING STATE LINES NOW!
I just read this article in Newsmax and it makes my blood boil to see how the Courts are increasingly being used to destroy people illegally. Please read my closing words and if you find the time tell me what you think of this criminal activity? I watched J. Edgar Hoover and Senator McCarthy prefect the ways to politically and/or illegally destroy people this way in my lifetime. I never dreamed that they must have been raised in Austin Texas.
DeLay: ‘Dangerous’ for Left to Use Courts to Destroy Opposition
By: Courtney Coren and Bill Hoffmann
Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay says while he is relieved that he was “exonerated” by the Texas high criminal court he is concerned about the left using the legal system to go after its opponents.
“I had a great day yesterday in that the highest criminal court in Texas, the Court of Criminal Appeals, upheld the ruling of the 3rd Court of Appeals in that they totally exonerated me,” DeLay told J.D. Hayworth on “America’s Forum” on Newsmax TV Thursday.
“They said that I should’ve never been charged in the first place,” he explained. “They said that I shouldn’t have been indicted.”
“It was a great day,” he added. “Nine years of going through this mess is over.”
The former Texas Congressman was charged in 2005 with money laundering allegations and convicted in 2010 by a Texas jury. In 2013, the 3rd Court of Appeals overturned that conviction, a decision which was upheld Wednesday by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
DeLay has said from the beginning that the allegations were politically motivated.
“It took five years for me just to get to trial after being indicted on a law that doesn’t exist in Texas,” he said. “Then, I was convicted by a liberal jury from Travis County, not even my home county in Texas, and sentenced to three years in prison.”
The former House Majority Leader credits his Christian faith for helping him get through it.
The Texas Republican said that it’s a problem that the left uses the court system to attack its opponents.
“Any ethics questions are just a detriment to the reputation of that elected official” who is charged, DeLay explained.
“That’s what the criminalization of politics as a political strategy is all about,” he said.
“The left just wants to get the headlines in the papers and the top story on television that you’re a corrupt individual, and they go to work on it,” he added.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Republican, was indicted in August for abuse of power for allegedly using a funding veto with the intention of forcing a local prosecutor to resign.
DeLay says that Perry “needs to understand this is a political trial that he’s about to go through.”
“Hopefully the judge will throw all this nonsense out, but Rick Perry is going through exactly what I went through with the same people,” he explained.
“This is the criminalization of politics and it’s not just Rick Perry,” the former congressman argues.
“I contend that Gov. Bob McDonnell in Virginia is going through the same thing,” he said. “He may have done some stupid things, but he didn’t do anything that was criminal.”
“Scott Walker is going through it, the governor of Wisconsin,” DeLay explained.
“This is having a huge impact on our politics,” he contends. “It puts the fear of God in elected officials — they don’t want to stand up and fight for what they believe in because they’re scared to death they’ll get their heads knocked off by going to prison and having their families destroyed.”
“This is really, really dangerous what’s going on out there.”
In a separate interview Thursday on “The Steve Malzberg Show,” Delay said conservatives have been targets for unfair prosecution for years.
“It’s just starting to elevate itself to a higher and more visible office … This is a political strategy that the left imposes and when they can’t beat you at the ballot box or beat you on the floor of some legislature or beat you as a governor, this is what they do,” he said.
“I call it criminalization of politics. It’s a political strategy and it’s undermining our system of government, it is deterring people from running for office.
“It’s putting the fear of God in elected officials not to stand on policy for fear of getting their heads knocked off. It’s an abuse of power in our justice system to use the judiciary for political gain. But, it is a political strategy and to be honest with you it’s working.”
Regardless of your political beliefs using the courts to destroy anyone is “CRIMIMAL JUSTICE” that has gone unpunished far too long. This has been a Progressive-Liberal tool since I was a boy. Being a Texan I personally do not like Tom Delay or Rick Perry but allowing a drunk Liberal and a crooked Liberal Judge allow the recent attack on Perry is criminal. Did you ever wonder why the majority of lawyers are Liberal? I have three of them in my family that I am ashamed of.

The confusion, spending, chaos and failure evolving over the past few years coming from the Washington, District of Clowns, is like watching re-runs of the three Stoogies. Congress, the Executive and the Judiciary Branches of government have replaced Larry, Curley and Moe. Anyone with a miniscule amount of common sense understands that our entire government has Mad Cow disease.
The only people more stupid than our government leaders are the ones who elected these incompetent liars. Tuesday the majority of voters in Virginia proved their stupidity by electing a Governor who helped try to force “Hillarycare” down our throats, a pure Socialized Medical program, some twenty years ago.
Obamacare was designed to fail and the truth is now being exposed by the media, five years too late. Even the Democrats who designed this monster are running to hide and beg forgiveness before next year’s Congressional elections. They don’t have to worry as the young women, those on welfare, illegals, blacks, Hispanics, Progressives and the dead always vote for the democrats.
Look at the facts, irresponsible enrollment problems, millions of government forced insurance policy cancellations, absolute chaos from users and inexcusable breaches of privacy. The Obama administration is more concerned about reducing the political damage they created than trying to find out why this debacle happened or how to correct the problems. The website is a perfect example of our government rewarding political donor’s single source contracts instead of using proven professionals to provide products and services. They even turned down free advice from private industry website owners like Amazon that operate much more complicated systems for profitable businesses.
Latest reports show that over 4.2 million insurance cancellation notices have been issued, so far. Remember President Obama’s honest and thousands of times repeated pledge, that “Americans could keep their healthcare plans if they liked them”. That was to get re-elected obviously to anyone who can read or write.
Obama’s now tells people who lose coverage to “just shop around”. Unfortunately for those who have had their insurance cancelled they can’t get access to the politically designed website. Most can’t get their applications processed via the non-electronic options recommended by the President and he knows it. The consumers who have been urged to apply on paper for insurance have discovered that the paper applications were all hung up in the same delays because of website crashes.
While we watch the health care program’s problems get worse, Obama makes a trip to Dallas today. He will praise volunteers at an Obamacare call center who are “helping consumers learn about and enroll in quality, affordable health insurance plans,” the White House said.
Users who attempt to start the registration process every day are greeted by the now-familiar message: “The system is down at the moment.”
CMS spokeswoman Julie Bataille said the website is “fixable” and some consumers are able to enroll, so there is no need to take down the site completely as some lawmakers have suggested. She also reported that paper applications are being processed “as quickly as possible and offer a benefit to users, despite revelations about their hurdles in the queue, because they bypass the front-end registration process that jammed up the website”.
I just read a story about Ms. Edie Littlefield Sundby of Southern California. She has battled stage four gallbladder cancer for nearly seven years and now, because of the ACA law she must give up her high-quality coverage and cannot obtain a comparable plan in California’s exchange, even with the help of a trained Obamacare adviser.
“What happened to the president’s promise, ‘You can keep your health plan’? Or to the promise that ‘You can keep your doctor’?” she wrote in The Wall Street Journal. “Thanks to the law, I have been forced to give up a world-class health plan. The exchange would force me to give up a world-class physician.”
Obama added a caveat to his oft-repeated “you-can-keep-it” promise, telling a gathering of supporters in Washington that, “if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really like that plan, what we said was you could keep it, if it hasn’t changed since the law was passed. “We wrote into the Affordable Care Act, you’re grandfathered in on that plan. But if the insurance company changes it, then what we’re saying is they’ve got to change it to a higher standard,” he said. What he left out was if they don’t change it will violate the law.
I just read an article about Mr. Justin Hadley, a North Carolina father that logged onto HealthCare.gov to evaluate his insurance options after his health care plan was canceled. He discovered an apparent security flaw that disclosed eligibility letters addressed to people from another state. Mr. Hadley, then alerted the conservative Heritage Foundation of the problem and was greeted with downloadable letters about eligibility for two people in South Carolina. One of them, lawyer Thomas Dougall of Elgin, S.C., later said he contacted his congressional representatives to have his personal information removed from the government website.
Why want the mainstream media just fairly report the chaos and remind the public of the facts that Obamacare is a dismal failure. Every democrat who voted for ACA and rammed it down American’s throat, or in my opinion shoved it upward in a part of our body where the sun don’t shine, must admit they were wrong. I personally hope they just ignore the failures and let the pain of the debacle hopefully wake up enough gullible voters to throw the sorry B******’s out.
